Rayla was at one time in love with Nick. They both were a really good couple, really close. Then it was like someone took that image and ripped it. He became mean and distant and a little controlling. Rayla isn't sure if he noticed this, but she wonders if this may be why he left her. For a long time she was heartbroken, but 5 years later she meets Jack. Now Nick is back and she has decide who she loves.

I smiled at him. "Careful, I bite," I said. We both laughed because I wasn't really the kind to bite you.

"I hope your not contagious." I said jokingly.

I laughed. "Wouldn't you love to catch my disease?"

I laughed and shook my head. "come on lets go get something to eat, since your boyfriend messed us up." I said

I shook my head. "Alright," I said and followed him.

I found a small diner close by and went inside. It wasn't that crowded andi liked it.

We finally made it to the diner and I held the door open for her. We went in and found a table and waited.

I sat quietly waiting too.

Finally we received menus and ordered drinks. We looked at our menus silently deciding on what we wanted to eat. I really didn't know what to say to her at this point. Heck what could I say.

I smiled as I decided to taunt him. "tomorrow we'll finish our fight. I bet my cougar was kicking your ass," I said.

I laughed. "yeah right you know my wolf was winning. And he was taking it easy on you." I teased back.

I scoffed. "Right, but he couldn't match her speed, and if she needs to she can always climb a tree and jump at him," I said and knowing me I would do that.

"why she gotta be climbing trees and stuff." I laughed

"Its helpful, she's done it before with other wolves"

"hm. Well then I guess we'll see how that goes next time." Our food arrived and we ate.

"After I tell Jack that it's just a game," I said and began to eat.

"you do that. I would hate to crush him."

I shook my head, "Trust me, I don't want to actually attack you," I said.

We sat there and talked about whatever came to mind as we ate. It felt good talking to her again.

I felt better than I had in awhile talking. I didn't question or think of what that may be. I just let myself be happy and not care as long as we weren't being more than friends.

We sat and played around joking with one another as if we were good friends. It felt great, it was the first time i actually let myself be free without worrying.

I liked how open we were with each other, and how easy it felt. I think for him it was easier to be friends than in a relationship. He fears love so much that he doesn't think of love in another form, like this kind. I didn't bring it up, though I clearly was thinking about something.
