Rayla was at one time in love with Nick. They both were a really good couple, really close. Then it was like someone took that image and ripped it. He became mean and distant and a little controlling. Rayla isn't sure if he noticed this, but she wonders if this may be why he left her. For a long time she was heartbroken, but 5 years later she meets Jack. Now Nick is back and she has decide who she loves.

"I have one person that I am leaving behind, you. There is no one else left to care about. I have no family and really all my friends are just here, not exactly a life." I said.

I sighed and let go of her hand. "I guess you're right. I'll hep you pack your things." I said defeated.

"I have to pack light, I am all finished," I said and looked around before realizing there was one thing left. I started going through my side dresser and tried to hide the necklace before he noticed.

"please let me go with you if younarent going to stay." I pleaded one last time.

I looked at him. "Why do you want to go with me?" I asked.

I wasn't sure why I wanted to go with her, I just didn't want her to be alone. "because I love you." I blurted out. I hadn't known what I said until it was already out in the open. And hearing those words I knew it was true.

I stared at him feeling like I heard him wrong. But I knew I heard him right. I go to him and kiss him.

At first I was shocked but finally gave in and kissed her back.

I keep kissing him for some time before pulling away.

When we pulled away I placed my forehead against hers and stared into her eyes.

I stared back. Then I smiled. "I love you too," I said.

I hadn't realized I was holding my breath until that very moment. I looked up at the ceiling and let it out not sure of how I felt, but I knew it was a good feeling. "I guess somehow I always loved you, just was too scared to admit it. But now I'm sure of it. I know it came a little too late but that's how I feel. I love you and don't want to lose you again."

"Then please let me in. I can't do it over again, I won't survive it this time. Tell me if you're scared or not, I want to be with you again." I said.

I let my fingers lightly caress the side of her face as I took in her words. "I would be lying if I told you I wasn't scared. I'm terrified, but I'm willing to face that if it means another chance with you. I'm willing to go beyond what I have before and actually make this work. No more hiding, and no more holding back. I am going to give you all you have ever wanted and more. It's going to take some time but I'm willing to work through it if you are."

"I will if you give me your word." I said.

I nodded. "Then I am yours, but we must hurry before they come back." I said momentarily forgetting about Jack.

I gave her a quick kiss before I let her finish getting her things.

I smiled before finishing everything. "We need to go to your house."

"come on, I know a short cut to my house. Hopefully we'll be unseen." I said grabbing her bag.

"Alright," I said and followed him

We left her house and I took her in the opposite direction we would normally go. I kept my ears open and continued down the street. We finally made it with no problem. When we got closer I saw someone sitting on my steps. At first I was going to walk pass until I realized that it was Raven. "Raven what are you doing out here?" I asked once we were close enough.

I looked up and seen Nick with another girl. Although we weren't together officially it still hurt a little to know he was messing with other girls. "oh, hey Nick." I said a bit nervous as I looked at the girl. "I came by to see how you were since I haven't heard from you in a while." I explained as I stood.

"I've been busy. Sorry I haven't checked on you in a while." I said not really sure what to do at this moment. "oh, Raven this is my girlfriend Rayla. Rayla, this is my neighbor/friend Raven." I introduced.
