Emma always thought she was the only one of her kind left, her home was destroyed by unknown creatures. The only reason she survived was because her mother made her hide. Now she's searching for survivors hoping that they can kill the creatures that killed everyone.

I looked up at him nervously. "You're going to need stitches, but not much." I explained.

"Then stitch me up, Doc." I said to her.

I nodded. "I think I'll go back up in the tree now." I said getting up slowly.

I just shook my head as I laughed to myself. "Okay. Just stay here I'll be back." I said as I made my way back to my bag. I dug around and found my first aid kit. Who knew I'd actually need this. On my way back I seen Adam was climbing the tree again. "You think it's safe for him to go back up there?" I asked the girl.

I waited for her to return. I wondered what the good news was.

When I was back up in the tree again I tied the rope around my thighs again. My hood was still up around my head.

"I don't think so but im guessing its his only comfort place he has at the moment" I said to the girl

"what's your name again?" I asked finally looking at her. " kind of hard remembering when you're not used to having anyone around." I said with a shrug.

I kept looking around in case of a surprise attack. The four of us...We are hope for our kind.

I smiled at her. "Emma, I'll remember next time." I said. "well I have a cut to tend to." I said before making my way back to Waylan.

I kinda smiled when I saw her walking back. "So in all this what was the good news?"


I kept looking around.

I couldn't help but smile. "the good news was that you put up a great fight." I laughed. "Im kidding. You cut doesn't look that bad so you won't need that many stitches and you should be ready to go by tomorrow." I said as I opened my kit and went to work cleaning and stitching him up.

What to do I thought not wanting to go to sleep. I sigh bored.

Soon enough my eyes were closing again.

I quickly cleaned and stitched him up finally getting tired. "alright, all done." I said standing up.

I felt a little nervous I wasn't use to not doing nothing I was always doing something if it wasn't walking and looking for survivors, it was looking for shelter or food. But now I had nothing to do.

Only this time no dreams. Just sleep.


"Thank you." I said to her. Trying to get up carefully. "What's Adam doing?"

"back in his tree, I think he's asleep." I said looking back towards the tree Adam was in. "you might want to put your pants back on." I suggested remembering Emma was still awake.

I went and layed down in the tent, I closed my eyes and thought about my mother.

"Oh...Right." I said getting my pants on. "Well go yell to Adam. Tell him its his watch."
