Fake Fiancé

Christmas in New York is her favourite time of year.. or well it was, until her parents called to say they’re coming to stay for the holidays and can’t wait to finally meet her fiancé.. It usually wouldn’t have been a problem, but the major downside was that there’s no fiancé.. she’s as single as one can be. She’s got a great job, finally moved into her new apartment and enjoying life, as a single woman with a cat. The thought of having a man around, warmed her heart but none were interested in her. With her sisters upcoming wedding, she knew the pressure was on to settle down and the words I’m engaged were being blurted our after one too many drinks after endless nagging.

She had her eye on someone, and not just anyone.. her boss. Like that would ever happen. Emotionless and arrogant, he could be the perfect candidate.. Well, there was no harm in asking right?

I looked at her all nervous as my hand reached up and I placed it on her growing belly. Feeling her moving about I didn’t realize a tear or two slip from my eyes. “Wow!” Is all I could say as my other hand was now on her belly I smiled and looked up at her. “I can’t beleive we did it? We actually did this created her.” Without thinking I leand in and kissed her belly and then moved up and kissed her mouth.

I closed my eyes, relishing the touch of him. His lips so soft but rough. Tasting the way I remembered. My arms began to wrap around him until the doorbell buzzed and pulled us apart. Breathing heavily, I fumbled with my top “take out.. I uh.. I ordered In.”

I smiled. “I’ll get it you relax.” She kissed me back holly hell I can’t believe she kissed me back. I opened the door paid for the food and walked back to her setting her up. “What do you want to drink?”

“Apple juice. Umm don’t you have a flight to catch? I mean it would be a waste of money with that plane ticket.” I pointed out grabbing two plates from the cupboard

I shook my head. “You should be relaxing. And I’m not going back I’m staying here where I should be.” I walked over and got the plates and smiled. She wanted me to stay and eat. “Besides I already missed the flight sweetheart and it was on company done so I think we can afford it.”

“Well I guess that’s alright then” I watched him, anxiously with giddy nerves. “What was Tokyo like?”

I laughed. “Honestly it sucked being there so I didn’t really get out to look around. Maybe we can go before she comes and I can actually give you my opinion on it.” I need to tie up some loose ends and I would love for her to come. “We can walk around buy some things for our little one and then I could rub your feet back at the hotel.”

“I’m not sure if I’m able to fly, I’ll have to check with my doctor” I mever thought about travelling that far. “Your brother has been here a few times, he’s helped with some of the house maintenance I needed done and put together the crib for me.”

My head snapped to her. “My brother?” What the fuck was he up to now. I didn’t like it. “I’ll have to have a talk with him.” I was pissed. Why couldn’t he just fucking find his own damn woman. “I should have helped with the crib.”

“Don’t be snappy, he’s been good and well you weren’t here. I couldn’t build it” I said quietly. “There’s plebty other things to buy and build.”

I sighed. “I just don’t trust him, he wasn’t hitting on you was he?” I’d kill him if he was. “He is known for doing just that.” I said not looking at her. “I just hope you didn’t or don’t fal for his charm as well.” We sat down and instead of eating I picked up her feet and began massaging them again. Knowing I should be heading home but I didn’t want to leave her.

“There was no flirting going on trust me. It was more him helping as I had no one else to ask, and he wanted to since you weren’t here.” I wiggled my toes “you sound jealous, which you have no reason to be ok.”

I sighed. “I am jealous, because I should have been here for you not him. I can’t stand that he was here.” I groaned. “He makes me so mad. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad someone was here to help.” I rubbed her feet up to her calves. “I’m so sorry georgia.”

“Don’t worry about it, there’s no point dwelling on the past when it won’t change anything.” I shrugged, pulling my feet away “you should eat. It’s a long drive tomorrow.”

I laughed. “I’ll always worry about the wrong I did to you. But I’ll work on fixing it too.” I looked at the food and yawned. “I need more sleep than to eat sweetheart. Do you mind if I sleep here on the couch or guest bed?”

“You can’t have the guest bed, as its now a nursery. The couch is fine though.” I said somewhat nervously. “I’ll have a shower and then get your bedding.”

I watched her walk away. I felt bad for wanting to see the nursery so I got up and went to look. As I opened the door I was impressed walking in I stood there at the crib and smiled I was going to be a Dad. I was happy about her being pregnant so happy. I never thought I would be so happy.

“You’ll have to built the bassinette. It’s being ordered in.” I walked up behind him in the nursery room after my shower. “I’ve been reading most nights to her.”

I smiled. “Have you read to her tonight?” I wondered because I’d love to do it. “Have you picked a name?” I smiled looking at the colors and theme. I was kind of hoping we could pick a name together but if she had chosen one then I would love it no matter what.

“No I haven’t, I like the name Lily but nothings set.” I smiled walking over and picking out the tale of Peter rabbit story book handing him to read. “she will have my middle name of course, and your last name.” I

I smiled taking the book.  “I’ll be happy with whatever you want to name her. Lily sounds beautiful, what’s your middle name?”  God I knew almost nothing about her and she is my wife and soon to be mother of my child.

“Oh I meant her middle name will be Georgia. Lily Georgia Williams.” I smiled. “Thats if you like the name also?”

I smiled. “I love it actually. So if we have a boy next does that mean we name him after me?” I asked barely looking at her with a smirk.” Yes I was thinking ahead and I liked thinking ahead with her specially now knowing she doesn’t hate me and that we made one baby already.

I laughed “if we were having a boy then yes he would have your name but we’re having a girl.” I sat down on the rocking chair, running my stomach. “Youll possibly read me to sleep.”

I smiled. “I know we are having a girl I said when we have a boy?” I shook my head and let that sink I. While I started to read loving that I was able to do this.
