She is mysterious, and strange to most people. Dark clothes, dark make-up. She loves dark stuff. Then suddenly her mother dies, and her baby sister. Leaving her and her father. Her dad checks out on the murder, but she still is shifty. She was out doing a few illegal things that night, so she can't tell. The cops decide to assign a watch on her. He wasn't too old, fresh out of the academy and only 21. He gets a cover up as a teacher at her school, a history teacher. He's good at it too, and another shock, so is she. But he doesn't find out until he sits down with her. He's kinda of annoying to her, but also annoyingly cute. Maybe there's a romance dwelling beneath them.

"Thanks, maybe I won't have to come back here once I go, if I don't find any ties between now and then," I said.

Maybe ill give her a reason to stay I thought to myself. "What do you have planned for the weekend?"

"Nothing, just sitting at home," I said.

I shook my head, "Not anymore. Your coming with me, I need to pack some things from my apartment if I'm staying with you, so you can help me." I don't know why but I just wanted her around.

"Alright, I guess it's better than nothing." I said. I felt kinda excited about it and that surprised me.

"Yeah?" I asked again to make sure she wasn't just agreeing. She nodded. "Well that's made my weekend better."

[Mizho Sohma]

I smiled at him. "Well I'm glad someone is happy to hang out with me," I said.

I frowned, "Your cool. I like you so there is nothing not to like, so was you and your sister close?"

[Mizho Sohma]

"Yeah, we were. It was almost like she was mine," I said.

[melbender]

"I'm sorry, it must be tough for you. You know I do believe you" I said quieter.

[Mizho Sohma]

"That I didn't do it?"

[melbender]

"If you tell me you didn't then I will believe you." I said honestly. "I'm going to trust you not to lie to me ever and I will try and help clear your name. All I ask is trust me, don't lie to me and I will do the same."

"I think I'm going to have to get more trust in you before you hear the entire night in full detail," I said.

"That is ok with me, just as long as you do tell me." I answered and the bell went off. "Well, you ready to see your new favourite teacher in action" I gave her a charming dimpled grin.

I smiled more at the look. "Sure, maybe you can make me bring out my secret smarts." I said.

"Oh I plan on that, don't hide how smart you are for the sake of others!"

[Mizho Sohma]

"Just try me," I said as others started coming in.

I wanted to laugh, "Ok princess whatever you say."

I sat back quietly now.

Students began to pile in and I noticed no one sat next to Alice, even the desks around her were empty. I clapped and got their attention, "Right. I'm your new history teacher Mr Porter, new teacher, new rules. You're all going to be assigned a seating plan."

I found this interesting so I sat forward.

[melbender]

"Boy and girl seating. No swapping and when I call your name, you move or instant detention for 3 weeks, I have a lot of mess in the back room to clean up so I'm looking for helpers." There was loud groans and I started calling out names. I got to Alice's and looked up, "Joshua, your sitting next to Alice. move now!"

[Mizho Sohma]

"But sit!" Josh gives him a look and he's up and running to sit with me. I could only smile in amusement at this.

"Right, now these will be your seats for the rest of the year in this classroom. I have zero tolerance on bullying also!" I narrowed my eyes at a couple of girls who were glaring at Alice. I looked back at her and winked, she seemed to enjoy this. I also needed to keep an eye out for what was being said about the murders.

I smiled at him and gave a mini solute jokingly. I was the only one who hadn't moved.
