Emily Thorn is a 22 young girl who has trust issues. her childhood was rough for a fragile little girl like her. After her mom passed away all she had was her father who took good care of her until he was sent to prison. Thinking her father was guilty Emily changed completely and isolated herself from everyone which made her move from foster house to another. she even spent time in juvi, but once she was out a guy came to her claiming he was friends with her father, he helped her get to college and even helped her with her studies.

being abused at many levels, she trusts no one and she can't bare anyone touching her or even look at her more than two seconds.

Emily lends an internship in a huge firm owned by the youngest billionaire in the USA, he gets curious about her and tries to figure her out. but she's not that helpful since she's being very mysterious. what happens Emily's boss makes a move on her? not a simple flirt thing but he actually tries to touch her.

Emily was standing in front of the huge building thinking if she could really go in there. it looked pretty scary filled with lots of people. she wasn't sure she could handle it but she had no choice right now. she pushed the door and went to the elevators where she stayed a few minutes not moving still unsure of what she wanted.

she finally made up her mind and got in, pushed the floor number and sighed. once the door opened she emerged of the elevator looking uncertain. scanning the room she found the receptionist.

"Good morning, i'm the new intern, where should i start?"

"Good morning Emily, call me vicky. Mr Benton will see you shortly and explain what you are going to learn in this firm"

Emily nodded and sat on the couch waiting Mr Benton to call her in.

i straightened my tie and smiled.
"Mr. Benton? the intern is here," my secretary said through a speaker.
"thank you, Vicky. send her in."

I stood up and walked to the door, i hated high heels! Why in the world was i wearing them now!
I knocked on the door and walked in " good morning mr Benton, i'm Emily Thorn" i said before adjusting my skirt.

i reached out my hand, "hello, miss thorn."

I shook his hand and once he notionned me to sit up i did , trying not to look shy or inconfident

i sat in the chair behind my desk and smiled, "so, you're applying for the internship?"

I nodded trying to avoid eye contact "I'd like to learn more about commerce and your company is the most successful and powerful firm i've ever heard about. i would like to learn from you"

i nodded, "well for the time being, you'll just be helping me around my office, and possibly helping Vicky. is that ok?"

[Demona]

i nodded "Sure, that would be an honor"

"great!" i smiled. "how soon can you start?"

[Demona]

"I can start right now"

[bruise]

"fantastic." i shuffled around on my desk for the Howell case. i picked up the folder and extended it to her, "could you please run this to Mr. Glazik? his office is room 203 on the second floor."

I took it from him nodding and walking out without saying a word. the secretaire gave me a small drawer where i could store my bag and other stuff. i went to the second floor and waited Mr Glazik to be free so he could see me.

i went back to reviewing cases.

i went in when i was called and gave him the files before going to the last floor and heading back to the secretary "I don't really know where i should stay ?"

"Emily?" I called out the door.

[Demona]

i froze as i heard his voice but managed to walk to walk to his office "Yes sir?"

"Could you take these to the copier? I need three copies. One copy back to myself, along with the original. One to Vicky, and the other to Ms. Waters, two doors down," I said, handing her a paper. "And by the time you get back we should have your desk ready for you."

I took the paper and nodded "Okay sir." i looked away and walked out. i finished what he asked me to do and went back to his office to give him his own copy. i knocked on the door and went in when he said i could.

i smiled, "thank you." i gestured to the desk on the other side of the room. "that's where you'll be working. is that ok?"

[Demona]

I looked at the desk and back at him, opened my mouth to speak but closed it as no words came out. How come? I've never seen an intern stay in the same office as the owner of the firm! I nodded quietly before taking my purse and jacket from the chair "what should i do now?"
