Welcome to the Rednook Mental Institution. A place where you can let your freak flag fly. A place where your folks dumped you when they didnt want to deal with their certifiably insane kid, also a place (but not limited to) the crazies, the lairs, the suicidals, the short tempered, the bipolars, the depressed, the traumatized.. The list goes on, as it should. We're here to help you, and also to judge you because let's face it, it's a 'ucking mental institution. Don't take it to heart, everyone is off their rocker here, everyone has a story. So feel free to pick a room, pick a diagnosis, and tell us your story. There are two floors, the top floor is for men, the bottom floor is for women. You get to converse with each other in the common area, but are never aloud to be on each others floors unsupervised. This is a hospital for women and men from the ages of 18 to 25, please act your age, and don't be afraid to flaunt your sickness. On Wednesdays we have movie night, we all pack up and rent out a movie theater, watch a movie, throw popcorn, all that jazz. There is a courtyard and activities to do outside, as well as in, but no swimming. We don't need you fucks drowning each other. Which brings me to my next point, you absolutely cannot kill each other (that's rude) or yourself for that matter. We may be crazy but we still have manners. You meet with the therapist once a week and take the pills we subscribe to you every day. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask Dorthy, our head nurse. i got out of the library and found a guy in the hall, i asked how to reach the dorms and he lead the way. once in that wing i looked at the doors looking for my number. the guys were kind of excited about something it intrigued me

I started being followed by a guy that looked more 'ucked up than all of us. I started to walk quickly and when I heard his paces quicken too, I booked it. Ran as fast as I could around the corner and literally ran into the guy from earlier "jesus!" I said a little frightened pushing him away and looking around frantically.

[Demona]

I looked at her frowning "You just love to go where you're not supposed to be don't you?" i smirked sexily "What are you running from?" i looked behind her and saw a guy approaching. my smile vanished and a glare took its place fixing the guy. he stopped in his track and looked at me hesitantly "One more step you're dead" it was an empty threat but my tone said otherwise. the guy must have bought it because he turned and left

I caught my breath and looked around "thank you" I said softly and heard a nurse coming. I grabbed his arm and pulled him into an empty room "don't make a sound.." I said peeking out the little door window slowly.

i chuckled and took her to the bathroom "we're lucky its my room. you can hide in here till she leaves"

"This is your room?" I asked looking around "it has no personality.. " I said with a soft laugh.

[Demona]

"Its actually the first time i set foot in it" i pointed toward my still closed suitcases

"Hi Jess....Yes...I found some books that I'd like to check out."
I said to her when she talked to me.

"yea just trying to find alittle something to have fun to tonight." I said and shake ky head sighing. "looks like they have nothingngood in these damn walls

"I see. I know where we could go for fun. In the library."

Against my will I looked up at the direction the voice came from, already convinced that it was just a voice. When I saw the woman I froze, even while I was processing her words. "They are watching me..." I mumbled that a few times, keeping my arms locked around my legs. I understood the concern in her face, but it just made me feel worse, like something bad was happening.

I shrugged. "as long as I don't have to go back to the common area. Too many freaks there." I said with a drown on my face. I never thought of myself as one o be crazy or dysfunctional, but obviously others did or I wouldn't be here.

Eric lead her to the end of the hall where there were two comfy chairs and a table. He pulled out a deck of cards and started shuffling them "so.. You've been here for a while, haven't you?" He asked

Jess smiled "well I'd be more than happy to check you out." She then stopped and laughed embarrassed "I mean.. Your book.. Check your book out.. For you"

I looked around before sitting in the middle of his floor "so.. Your ex says your crazy, and they put you in here?" I asked with sarcasm.

Dorthy looked at her chart and then back at the girl "your name, darling?" She asked

[Demona]

"Not exactly but she testified against me..." i said leaning on the wall looking at her

I laughed "so what exactly did you do to get in here?" I asked curiously

[Demona]

"Curiosity killed the cat" i said adjusting my sleeves and looking away

"What - I can show you mine but you can't show me yours?" I scoffed and stood up "we're all crazy here Oliver, were all dead.. " I said and headed for the door.

I blushed lightly and smiled

i sighed "I'm not crazy! and no i'm not in denial" i stood looking at her "I just don't do well around people...or take in rude comments! i nearly killed her! just because she was asking about this!" i took off my shirt showing her all the scars i had on my whole body

I looked at the scars all on his chest and abdomin and blinked away a few tears before meeting his gaze "you should have killed her" I said softly "..then we'd both be bad." I said before walking out of his room and down the private stairwell.

I blinked a few times and looked at the now empty room. i sat on the bed and laid back taking in a few breaths to calm myself

I somehow made it back to the common area without getting caught and went outside, sitting on a bench and thought back to the nights I killed those four people. How much I enjoyed it. And how I wanted to feel that powerful again.

I took a cold shower, freshened up and put on some clean clothes before i went back outside

I laid in the grass under a tree and had a nurse light a cigarette for me. I closed my eyes and took in long drags, trying to calm my nerves.
