Welcome to the Rednook Mental Institution. A place where you can let your freak flag fly. A place where your folks dumped you when they didnt want to deal with their certifiably insane kid, also a place (but not limited to) the crazies, the lairs, the suicidals, the short tempered, the bipolars, the depressed, the traumatized.. The list goes on, as it should. We're here to help you, and also to judge you because let's face it, it's a 'ucking mental institution. Don't take it to heart, everyone is off their rocker here, everyone has a story. So feel free to pick a room, pick a diagnosis, and tell us your story. There are two floors, the top floor is for men, the bottom floor is for women. You get to converse with each other in the common area, but are never aloud to be on each others floors unsupervised. This is a hospital for women and men from the ages of 18 to 25, please act your age, and don't be afraid to flaunt your sickness. On Wednesdays we have movie night, we all pack up and rent out a movie theater, watch a movie, throw popcorn, all that jazz. There is a courtyard and activities to do outside, as well as in, but no swimming. We don't need you fucks drowning each other. Which brings me to my next point, you absolutely cannot kill each other (that's rude) or yourself for that matter. We may be crazy but we still have manners. You meet with the therapist once a week and take the pills we subscribe to you every day. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask Dorthy, our head nurse. Feel free to make yourself at home, and as always, we hope you enjoy your stay at Rednook.

I went to the common room again and looked for Dorthy, i was hungry

Dorthy saw Oliver and smiled "can I help you, dear?" She asked

"um yeah Dorthy, i'm hungry but the cafeteria is closed. i haven't eaten since last night"

[Zabet]

i just stared at her, not wanting to say anything. it wasnt until the boy finished speaking that i mumbled "Naida", hopefully loud enough for her to hear.

i noticed a girl next to me and smiled "Hey" i said before looking back at Dorthy waiting her to answer me

Eric lead her to the end of the hall where there were two comfy chairs and a table. He pulled out a deck of cards and started shuffling them "so.. You've been here for a while, haven't you?" He asked

I nodded my head. "yeah vie been here for three years now. How about yourself. Vie always seen you around just never been one to talk to people." I said with a shrug.

i looked up at the boy, seeing his smile as friendly. i didnt smileback. i sat there, trying to decide if i should just go to my room. "yes, run away you little coward!" i looked up quickly in shock. no one had spoken to me. sigh. maybe this place can make the mean voice go away... or maybe not.

"Come on. Follow me." I said to her softly and started walking.

I smiled when she mixed up her words. I was kinda..happy. At least there was one staff member I could talk to. "Thank you." I said to her.

I followed quickly wondering where wed end up next

Eric nodded and started dealing cards "four years.." He said "it's weird to think about.." He said with a laugh

Jess checked out his book for him and handed it back to him "well.. I guess ill see you around.." She said with a small smile "enjoy it, it's a good one."

Dorthy nodded and looked at her watch "lunch is in ten minutes dear, you can head over to the cafateria now if you wish.." She said and looked at the girl on the floor "you too.. " she added

I spent a good thirty minutes staring up at the sky, day dreaming before I headed inside to look for something to do.

"Thank you Dorthy" i walked toward the cafeteria wondering why everyone was mean to her. apart from drugging us that woman was nice. i went inside and took a seat "How am i gonna stay here for so long!"

[Zabet]

I sighed and slowly stood, looking around the room to see if any one in particular looked hostile. No one did, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something bad would happen. I went off in the direction the boy had gone, vaguely remembering how to get to the cafeteria. I saw him, and even tho I felt really nervous about him, I went and stood by his table. "Hi.... may I sit with you?" I asked kinda softly. He looked kind of scary, but he seemed safer than the others. Maybe it was because he had smiled?

When we got to the room I locked the door. No one would come looking for us for awhile. "This is where we can watch animal planet shows on DVD." I said to her.

I smiled at Jess. "See you soon." I said to her. I headed out of the library. Heading for my room. I wanted to read in peace.

I took my cards as I took a quick glance around. "being here for so long would make a person go crazy. Especially with all the meds they give you, which I never take." I said finally looking back at him. "I like to function wig a sane mind."

Eric laughed "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that.." He said looking from his cards to her.

I laughed studi my cards. "I'm sure I'm not the only one. But it can be our little secret." I said with a wink.

He grinned and looked back at his cards, laying some down and taking more "so, if you don't mind me asking.. Why have you been in here for so long?" He asked

I looked at the cards and put one dawn and picked a new one. "apparently playing with fire and having a split personality requires to be stuck in this place." I answered. "what about you?"

I smiled shyly, sitting down across from him. "My name is Naida" I said softly. I figured I would probably be here for a while, so I figured I should make at least 1 friend.

"Nice meeting you Naida...i'm Oliver" i said and saw the lunch ladies start pouring food to the patients "hungry?" I said looking into her eyes for the first time

I had to actually think about if I was hungry or not, BT it only took a second or two. "Ya, I guess so." I stood up swiftly. "Your such a fatty!" I heard a familia voice yell. I didn't turn around, knowing it wasn't Oliver's voice. I shuddered, but realized that it was the disembodied voice. Sig. Maybe I wasn't hungry after all. I got just a little something, but felt self concoius about it, I knew I shouldnt- I actually felt confident about my body. Stupid voice. I sat back down across from Oliver, not sure what to say, if to say anything at all.

(So sorry I've been gone, had a lot going on this week)

I walked into the cafeteria, not really in the mood to eat, so I grabbed an apple and scanned the crowd as I played with it in my hand.

I looked at Naida frowning but got on my feet. i've been starving myself for days when i was stuck on that island and i won't let that happen again so i went to grab a tray and get some food. i looked at Naida who seemed to be talking to herself or something. i grabbed her a plate and went to the table setting it in front of her before sitting down.
