Rayla was at one time in love with Nick. They both were a really good couple, really close. Then it was like someone took that image and ripped it. He became mean and distant and a little controlling. Rayla isn't sure if he noticed this, but she wonders if this may be why he left her. For a long time she was heartbroken, but 5 years later she meets Jack. Now Nick is back and she has decide who she loves.

I kept my composer for Rayla's sake. When we found a table I decided to let her choose where shed like to sit, only because I was sure Jack would mostly try and make into a competition and grab her first. So I simply took my seat and let them two battle it out.

I sat down and jack just sat next to me. I knew he was acting this way because he didn't want me to get hurt again. When his arm went around me I forced myself not to shrink away.

I decided not to play in his games and just try to calm down from all the excitement that's been going on. I picked up a menu and scanned everything before quickly deciding on what I wanted to eat.

I started to search for what I want then set it down.

"so genious, what are your plans as far as where we stay? I hope you were smart enough to bring a lot of cash with you." I questioned as we waited for someone to take our order.

I sighed. "Of course. I don't have a bank account so why would I not have it?" he said. "If you two don't shut up about all this I'll deck you both, and Jack, I don't think you want me to make you chip a tooth again," I warned.

I looked over and seen that he was actually surprised about her sudden out burst. Me I was just waiting for it to come out. But not wanting to press her buttons anymore I just nodded my head and kept my mouth closed. Thankfully someone came and took our orders.

I placed my order as did Jack. I stood to go to the bathroom I said over my shoulder. "Both of you better behave while I'm in the bathroom, or we'll have a serious talk," I said like I was talking to children. I walked away then.

"yes mother." I called to her as she walked away. I watched as she disappeared behind a wall. I couldn't help but take notice of how much she's changed. Yeah she was one to never tolerate the childishness of guys, yet she was always one to try and keep the peace. She has always been soft spoken at times, but now it seem she has broken from that shell and has become the vicious cougar shes meant to be. I let out a soft chuckle at that thought as I seen Jack staring at me. "problem sir?" I asked taking a sip of my drink.

J: "I'm just a little concerned about Rayla. I mean you are the guy who broke her, I'm trying to figure out if you're the kind that comes back to do it again or that comes back to fix it," I said and took a drink of my soda.

"so now you pull the nice guy cards,how sweet." I said. "look what's going on with me and her doesn't concern you. So I would appreciate it ifyoud stop playing the possessive boy friend and let her breath."

J: "Well she shouldn't even be letting you in her life, I'd consider myself lucky. She's not that girl you once dated," I said but didn't get to finish seeing as she was coming back.

R: I sat down and knowing that some words had been said I glared at the boys.

I just sat there with a smile on my face as I drunk my soda. He was right she wasn't the girl I once dated. She blossomed into a very beautiful women, who isn't afraid to hold back any longer. "finally food." I said as I seen the waiter coming with our food.

R: I smirked a little at his words before the food was set down. I began eating quietly before Jack decided to ask me, "So why did you bring him?" I looked at him. "Well, we were out hunting when they found us. So they knew we had to be together or something and that if they took him I would want to be taken as well. Or that I would come after him because no matter what is going on between us, I would always blame myself if they hurt him. And it's the same way for you," I said.

I ate quietly as I listened to her words. A small part of me was hurt that she didn't tell him we were together, but I quickly pushed it aside and decided to let her make the choice to tell him. She has always had a great heart, that was something that hasn't changed about her.

"Oh, I see," he replied and you could see by his expression he felt like an ass. "And we need to find some time to talk, privately. Now isn't a good time, but soon would be nice," I whispered to him. I know Nick knew I was going to do it, but I couldn't let Jack know that, and I didn't want him to know we were together until months later.

I just sat and watched them talk. I no longer had anything to say. Then an idea came to me. "we need to get new phones." I blurted out.

I looked at him in surprise but hid it quickly. "You're right, we do need new ones. We'll have to throw ours away, since we just pay the money for them and then trash them."

I nodded. "it's better if we'd stick with disposable phones until we're able to really settle down. I figured they can possibly track our current phones and I don't want to take any chances." I added still eating.

"Don't worry, we've done this all before. Why, my hair isn't even black, it's a light brown. But I changed the color and kept my eye on it closely," I said.

I hadn't really thought much about it. "I like your hair black it fits you." I said with a smile. I sat there and thought about my own make over.

I smiled. "Well I'm about to bleach it, as soon as I can. I'm thinking go white, then some other odd colors will be put in. Like an electric blue."

I couldn't hope but laugh. "trying to go rock star on me?" I questioned with a teasing smile. "what about neon pink."

"Oh, that sounds nice too. I'll have to drag you along when I do this, of course you won't need to go for the bleaching, but the dying you will."

I chuckled. "you're not going to make me look like a girl will you?" I questioned.
