Rayla was at one time in love with Nick. They both were a really good couple, really close. Then it was like someone took that image and ripped it. He became mean and distant and a little controlling. Rayla isn't sure if he noticed this, but she wonders if this may be why he left her. For a long time she was heartbroken, but 5 years later she meets Jack. Now Nick is back and she has decide who she loves.

I looked at him. "I hope so. That's all I want for us."

I continued driving as we listened to the music.

I sat quietly.

We rode for a few hours until I seen we had to fill up on gas soon. "are you hungry?" I asked taking a quick glance at her.

"Yeah," I said.

I rode a bit longer until I found a good place to grab something to eat. After we got our food I went across the street and put gas in the car.

I sat in the car eating slowly.

After the tank was full I climbed back in and started our drive again as I ate.

I watched the road quietly.

"state line coming in a few miles." I said after a few more hours of driving.

"Alright," I said.

Jack finally set up a meeting for us. We were on our way right now, with a tension between us because I realized I hadn't broken up with Jack yet. Now he was angry at me.

Jack finally contacted us back with a place for us to meet. He said that we'd discuss everything once we were all together. I wasn't sure how to feel though, she hadn't broken up with Jack yet, and a small part of me understood. We were in the middle of running for our lives and that's not something you just spring onto a person. Yet, I just hoped that it'll be soon. I would hate to lose her and I just got her back.

I saw Jack leaning against his car staring at the ground. He was lost in thought about something, but the expression was wiped off when we reached him. He smiled at me as I got out and pulled me into a hug and even kissed me, which was new. I didn't get that.

I held onto my anger as I watched him kiss her. I staid back and kept on a straight face. When the kiss lasted a few seconds longer than I liked. I made an effort to clear my throat to gain his attention.

He looked up at Nick and seemed to be a little embarrassed. "Sorry man." I ignored them and cut to it. "So, what's our plan? Go abroad?"

I shrugged getting my mind focused on the task at hand. "I don't think that'd be too smart, at least not right now." I said.

I looked at Nick, as did Jack. I began to speak but he beat me to it, "Oh? And what do you suggest?" he asked.

I knew he was trying to challenge me, for what I still wasntsure. I knew most of this was just an act for Rayla, but I was thinking of our safety more than who gets who. "if we go to far too soon they'll push harder to try and find us, giving us a very slim chance of getting away. If we stay too close then it only gives them more power to find us. So I just say we stay in the states for a while, moving around at least a couple of months at a time, that way we won't worry about running out of money too fast. And when things look clear, then we can make the big move. But we can't get too comfortable too fast." I explained.

I looked at Jack. "Sound familiar?" I asked with a snicker at him. He gave me a look and I shut up. He looks at Nick. "Right, so any ideas, genius?"

I shrugged my shoulder and gave him a blank stare. "you tell me." I countered.

He looked at me. I could tell he wanted to know why he was even here. I sighed. "We'll go two states over, stop for awhile there, then head out again. But this time next year we need to be in another continent, and this time no where close to the previous one," I said with a pointed look at Jack. I began walking into the restaurant signaling to the boys that what I said was final.

I looked over at Jack giving him one last look, daring him to say other wise, before I followed her into the restaurant.

Jack took a moment to follow us. I was holding myself back from leaning into Nick. Right now wasn't a good time to break up with Jack. But I knew it'd come out soon, and the lame Edward and Jacob thing would happen.
