Rayla was at one time in love with Nick. They both were a really good couple, really close. Then it was like someone took that image and ripped it. He became mean and distant and a little controlling. Rayla isn't sure if he noticed this, but she wonders if this may be why he left her. For a long time she was heartbroken, but 5 years later she meets Jack. Now Nick is back and she has decide who she loves.

It seemed like no matter where we went, they followed us. That only left us with one other choice. "we have to split up." I told her as we kept running.

"Alright, split then meet at the gym, behind it." I said before I turned and ran in another direction.

I gave her a quick nod as I stopped to turn the attention away from her and to me. When I saw the van just ahead, I let out a howl before running in the opposite direction as Rayla. Since they couldn't see her they came after me luckily I was far from the van. I kept zig zagging through trees trying to loose them.

I kept running not knowing what to expect. I stopped and looked around as I reached town. I had to ease my way through it so no one would pay attention to me at all.

It seemed like I had been running for hours, which was only minutes. The further I had gotten from the people in the van the more I began making my way towards the gym, though I was careful to stay deep in the woods just incase Rayla was close by.

I ran until I was inside the alley. I got under a dumpster and waited.

I ran for a while longer until was completely sure I had lost them. Then kept running until I got to the gym. I slowed down and went into the alley. "Rayla!" I called.

I take his leg in my mouth and pull him under.

I had gotten scared a bit but then realized it was her. "are you okay?" I asked once I was under.

I nod. "Its easier to hide here. From humans too."

"who were those people?" I questioned to no one in particular.

"They're my makers. I was a project when I was with my mother. Before I was born they reactivated the gene to make me skinwalker. They're called cabals but those were specifically the nasts." I said.

"were they after you?" I asked moving closer to her.

I nodded. "Jack too."

"They want me to work for them."

"I won't let them take you."

I go to him and just curl up next to him as my thank you. "We will be here for an hour, I would call anyone you know who is not human and tell them to leave, it's safer."

"you're right. I'll give them a call when we're out of here." I moved closer to her to keep her warm, since we would be there for a while.

I laid my head down and we were quiet for awhile. "This would be nice if weren't under a dumpster."

I chuckled a bit. "you're right it would be, but we'll just have to make due for now."

"Aside from the smell it is nice." I looked at him.

"this can be our little hide out." I said jokingly trying to make light of it all.

I giggled. "It could be." I nudged his cheek with my nose in affection.

I turned to her smiling in my head. I then returned the gesture before I licked the side of her face, as a kiss on the cheek.

I smiled at him. He was sweet, which was what I loved about him before. I still loved it.
