He lives a sheltered routine life, used to order and schedule. That’s how it’s been since his wife passed. Before she died, they had the same routine and structure. Sex was for pregnancy and straight forward. His children, well mannered and reaching their early teens. 

She’s free spirited and clumsy. Travelling the world one month at a time. Her parents died and left her a trust fund for her to experience life at its best. She knows no schedule, and enjoys living. 

A job takes her to a small town, where she is to take photos of the beauty she finds. Renting a small house next to a large property. She goes over to introduce herself and finds the man less than pleasant.. but it doesn’t bother her and she soon finds herself annoying him for help each day.

How can he let someone new in his life when he had lost his only one. Everything she does, says, wears.. he compares it to her and when they become something more, he finds himself still saying she’s doing things wrongly.. can he let go of his past, and become something more with the future? and when he discovers old diaries in the attic that details a sordid affair with her ex boss, is it too late to see what he could have had.

I smiled. “Best damn idea baby!” I smiled. “I’m glad our baby knows a good meal!” I winked. We ordered what steak we wanted and I told her the differences once they brought out the red bloody slab I smirked. “Oh damn I think I came in my pants!”

I laughed, cringing “that’s so wrong but quite the compliment.” I looked at the steak on my plate and bit my lip “I want mine fully cooked through. So I’ll leave it on here for awhile.” I loved seeing him look this happy.

I smiled. “Way to ruin a good piece of meat baby.” I laughed and took mine off making sure there was still some blood . I cut it and took the bite and held it out to her. “Just try and make me the happiest man alone!”

“I can’t.. I will be sick and I’m pregnant, it’s not good for the baby.” I reminded, placing my hand his thigh. “I love you and I will trust your word for it that it’s amazing.” I grinned.

I laughed. “One of these days I’ll get you to try. But then again I may keep you pregnant!” I winked and kissed her. “Thank you for all of this, it’s really cool.

“Well I didn’t think you’d like to go to a sushi place for dinner so you’re welcome.” I smiled. “So I don’t mind coming here when you’re such a steak fan. Just remember this when it’s my birthday.” I teased.

I stopped chewing and looked st her. Swallowing I said. “Umm when is your birthday?” I felt like a fool asking the mother of my child this question.

“No don’t worry about that, I don’t celebrate my birthday remember. It’s August the 20th.” I flipped over my steak and wiggled both brows “look at how good that looks.”

I laughed and then remembered. Not wanting to bring her down I kissed her. “It’s lookibg good but also it looks a little too done baby.” I ate another bite and and groaned “so good.”

“Yeah I’m sure it is.” I pulled mine off and was pleased with my efforts. “Mine is amazing, probably better than your steak you cooked back home.” I laughed, running my foot against his leg.

I groaned . “Honey you shouldn’t tease me while looking like that and eating steak “. I looked at her steak and shook my head. “You could have left it a little pink!”

“I have something else that’s pink for you.” My eyes went wide. “Oh my god, that was quite rude of me.” I giggled. “I’m not even sure how log my meat eating will last, and haven’t you read baby books before? It’s not allowed to be pink.”

I smirked . “Mmmm is love to lick that pinkness you have!” I kissed her. “I never have read any baby books but I will I want to know these things.” I was surprised that I didn’t but then again when Mary was pregnant she didn’t want me around.

I looked at him, he’s got 3 kids but never read anything. “You don’t have to. I thought you’d be well into the dos and don’t of pregnancy.” I reached over and took hold of his hand “I don’t want you to be involved with the small things, I need you to be. It took two of us to make a life, so you’re going to be experiencing everything i go through, well maybe except for the pain but I will probably break your fingers. I guess you know how hard that part will be.”

I smiled. “I want to be involved in it all!” I kissed her and we finished the meal. “Ready to see you photos, I’m excited I really am and I’m not even afraid of knowing I’m going to be high up!”

I raised a brow “Oh really? You’re not going to pass out on me are you?” I took his hand as we left and kept walking. “I’d like to come back here when it snows, it’s incredible.” I smiled, it actually kind of felt like a date even though we hadn’t been on one officially. I pointed towards the building “ok, I’m really nervous that my photos won’t sell, and that No one will like them.”

I laughed. “I doubt that from what I’ve um seen your incredibly talented!” I kissed her head. “Let’s go on in.” We walked in went straight to the elevator and once we got off I made the excuse if needing to use the bathroom. I found the person in charge and asked what all the bids were so far. I nodded then mad a deal on all the naked ones. One they wouldn’t turn down. He was shocked and delighted I wanted to be anonymous. So when I was back besides her and he walked over telling her I smiled.

I stood there in shock. They had all sold! I smiled thanking him once again, and walked over to Greg. “I’m in shock, someone has brought all my pictures, he’s either a pervert or they’re really good.” I couldn’t believe it. I jumped with excitement and threw my arms around him with a kiss

I laughed. “I think he maybe a perv. But that’s great they all sold.” I looked at the guy and he smiled and excused himself. We enjoyed ourselves walking around. She was so good!

“I want to ask about your next collection, clearly this has done well. Everything sold and they’re asking for more. I’m ready to send you off somewhere new.” My boss said bringing over a glass of champagne. I smiled “I would love that, but unfortunately I won’t be able to travel much. Im pregnant.” He looked surprised “Oh, congratulations, to you both. Well, how about we change it around to destinations for couples to visit and relax before they expect a child, a baby moon if you will.” He grinned. “I love that idea!” But we had three other kids and it wouldn’t be so relaxing. “How about I think about it and let you know.” I smiled, handing Greg my glass.

I sighed. She wanted to do so much but it’s like we were holding her back. “We have a lot of land and a lot of places people would love to see around the town we live in maybe she can do some things with that as well, she is very talented and I’m sure she could make a torn up house look beautiful.”

I smiled “aww you’re just being kind. I can explore the land. And maybe change my plans to more family orientated trips. Family fun trips.” I had no clue but it was all I could think of to come up with things to include the kids and him also. “Anyway, there is lots of time to discuss.”

I smiled and pulled her to me. “That’s right!” I kissed her head and noticed a young man staring at her from a distance and it creeped me out. He seemed to know who she was like they knew each other.

I noticed him looking over and frowned “what’s wrong?” I asked then then he caught my sight “oh my god.” I gasped with a bright smile “Rob, what are you doing here!” I asked hugging him tightly.

“I couldn’t miss your first show, not when it’s all you talked about.” He smiled kissing her cheek and hugging back tightly. “I told you I’d make it.” 

My smile never faltered as I pulled away “Greg, this is Rob, my best friend. We grew up and travelled together.”

I nodded but pulled her close to me wrapping my arm around her. “Hello I’m Greg Tessa’s buoyfrkend and father of her child.” I had to put that in because I didn’t think she would say anything. I needed to stake my claim
