Christmas in New York is her favourite time of year.. or well it was, until her parents called to say they’re coming to stay for the holidays and can’t wait to finally meet her fiancé.. It usually wouldn’t have been a problem, but the major downside was that there’s no fiancé.. she’s as single as one can be. She’s got a great job, finally moved into her new apartment and enjoying life, as a single woman with a cat. The thought of having a man around, warmed her heart but none were interested in her. With her sisters upcoming wedding, she knew the pressure was on to settle down and the words I’m engaged were being blurted our after one too many drinks after endless nagging.

She had her eye on someone, and not just anyone.. her boss. Like that would ever happen. Emotionless and arrogant, he could be the perfect candidate.. Well, there was no harm in asking right?

“I won’t say no to a massage.” I called out as inunzipped the dress bag and stripped off so I was just in a robe and the lingerie beneath. I left my hair down in soft curls, pulled to one side. I kept my makeup natural but with a red lip and thick cat eye liner. I was in my dress zipping up the side and praying it would fit when I heard him walking behind me. “Alright, how do I look? And you better lie and say amazing.” I smiled shyly, stepping into the heels and turning around to him.

I was in shock. My jaw hung open. “Umm Georgia There is absolutely no lie to this, damn you look more than amazing!” I smiled. “Excuse me while I pick my jaw up from the floor.” I walked closer. “You look absurd stunning, all eyes will be in you no matter what you do or say trust me they will be.” I pulled my phone out and took a photo. Then pulled her to me and took another of the both of us. “Not sure why you put those shoes on though I need to give you a massage before heading out there.”

I laughed “You’re making me blushing, but I do have to say that you scrub up very well indeed.” He was more than sexy in that suit. I wanted to stay in here. “My hormones are going insane right now.” I whispered, stepping closer to him, my hands sliding over the front of his shirt and around his waist beneath his jacket “I want to kiss you.” And so I did

I groaned into the kiss. “Sweetheart we better stop if you don’t want me to mess up your hair.” Plus I didn’t want to take advantage of her. I wanted it to be special this time around.

“But I want you.” I was clouded by a desire of need and lust. Pulling away, I laughed a little as he has some lipstick on his mouth. “You should look in the mirror before we leave, it’s time to go.” I agreed

I sighed and ran my hand through my hair. I waked to the mirror and shook my head getting the red off and waking to her. “You’ll pay for that sweetheart.” I was only kidding and hoped she took it that way as well.

I smirked a little “Oh your threats don’t scare me.” I slipped my fingers through his and we walked out to where they were marrying. “It’s very over the top don’t you think?” I asked passing an ice sculpture

I smiled. “How would you do it?” I wondered maybe I could give her what she wants in the long run. “I mean this isn’t how I would want to remarry you, I think simple but elegant small with just the ones we love, maybe on the beach?”

“The beach or a vineyared, at sunset. Nothing over the top crazy” I said taking a seat “i would rather spend my money on a honeymoon” I said feeling a tap on my shoulder. It was a bridesmaid “you need to change your dress, you can’t wear that it’s drawing attention from the bride.” She raised a brow “she doesn’t want you wearing something that shows off your stomach, maybe something baggier.”

I looked at the woman. “My wife is beautiful in this dress and won’t be changing. She can’t help but grab the attention of anyone, it’s just her nautrsl beauty.” I was getting pissed at these people. “How dare they tell you to change.”

“That’s my sister for you, hated that I ended up married and pregnant before her. Also hates that i dated the man she’s marrying.” I laughed a little “it’s quite funny.”

I smiled loving see her laughing. “Yeah well I would like to say you got the better deal.” I pulled her close. “Told you everyone would be looking at you!” One person particular I didn’t like watching her was her ex and soon to be brother in law. He kept starring at her and I was getting pissed.

“I think If I wasn’t pregnant I would be drunk right now.” I laughed, and placed my hand in his. “I wish we could spend time just us before Lily was here.”

I smiled. “Well we can have time before she gets here, and after as well we will just be a little limited but we will find time.” I kisse dher cheek. “I’m telling you I will make all the time before she gets here to get to know you a lot better.”

“Me too.” I smiled back at him as the music began. As they started saying their vows, her groom began to look nervous and he shook his head “I’m sorry I can’t marry you. I’m in love with Gorgia.” He looked at me “come with me, I will love you like no one else and raise your child as my own.”

I stood up and blocked Georgia from him. “Your mental! Your cheated on her you hurt her. Like hell I’ll let that happen. Our child would never be yours. You can go to hell! I can’t believe your doing this to her and not only her but to my sister in law as well! Your crazy.” I turned and looked at georgia. Hoping she didn’t want this fool.

I stood with burning cheeks, embarrassed by everyone’s attention. “I’m married to a man I love deeply, and with our first child.” I said quietly “I’m not going to leave him for you.” 

He shook his head and scoffed “well this is embarrassing isn’t it.” He walked past everyone and left. 

My sister stood there and burst into tears as she stormed over “this is your fault. I told you not to come here. I told you not to wear that dress! You’ve ruined my wedding day and I will never ever forgive you for this.” She screamed tossing the flowers at her andnstorming off.

I pulled her close. “Let’s get out of here sweetheart. Maybe go get a hotel room or two.” I didn’t know how she felt about sharing a bed with me so I would pay for two rooms if she wanted. “I don’t want you stressed and I feel if we stay here that’s all that it will cause.”

“Why 2 hotel rooms?” I asked holding him closer. “I just want to be close to you” I said as we walked down to the room. “How can she blame me when I’ve done nothing to her at all.”

I shook my head. “First to answer your first question I didn’t know if you would want to be alone or if you’d want to even share a bed with me yet. For the second question she is obviously jealous of you. She will get over it once she truly finds someone to love and care for her trust me.” I pulled her closer. “You hungry cause I am!”

“I’m not worried about sharing a bed.” I guess he probably was “but see if there’s a room with two singles.” I said and looked around “yeah I’m starving. Let me change first, and then we’ll leave.0

I shook my head. “No please don’t your too beautiful in that dress I want to show you off.” I said knowing she hated the attention but she deserved it right now she was glowing and I loved seeing her like this.

“I want a burger and I highly doubt I’ll look glamorous eating one in this dress.” I laughed taking off my heels. “We can still stay here you know, my sister is just being-“ a knock on the door. I walked over and opened it. It was my mother looking terrible “I don’t know why you would even come here knowing he still loved you. Selfish. Selfish. Selfish!” She scolded. “Don’t worry mum, we’re leaving and I won’t be coming back again.” I closed the door in her face angrily. “Fuck me.”

I glanced at her. “I know your not really asking but anytime.” I smirked and walked to her. “Please try not to stress, we can go where ever you want and eat whatever you want no problem there.” I gathered all our stuff and smiled “Let’s go!”

“How can I not be frustrated? I am beyond pissed off!” I said In the car. “I’ve been blamed for this, it’s not my fault!” I rubbed my belly trying to calm myself down. “I need food. Any kind of food is fine.”
