Christmas in New York is her favourite time of year.. or well it was, until her parents called to say they’re coming to stay for the holidays and can’t wait to finally meet her fiancé.. It usually wouldn’t have been a problem, but the major downside was that there’s no fiancé.. she’s as single as one can be. She’s got a great job, finally moved into her new apartment and enjoying life, as a single woman with a cat. The thought of having a man around, warmed her heart but none were interested in her. With her sisters upcoming wedding, she knew the pressure was on to settle down and the words I’m engaged were being blurted our after one too many drinks after endless nagging.

She had her eye on someone, and not just anyone.. her boss. Like that would ever happen. Emotionless and arrogant, he could be the perfect candidate.. Well, there was no harm in asking right?

My throat went dry. “That proves nothing.” I said quietly. I wasn’t going to argue with her or get into a fight. “I have the one thing you’ll never have, his child.” Or soon I would. Looking at him, I knew he insisted i take the day off. “Don’t explain anything to me. I need some fair.”

I watched her get up. She thought I really insisted her taking the day off for Laura. I didn’t and wouldn’t. I sighed looking at the smirk on Laura’s face then looking at the pissed off look on my brothers. “Get out both of you.” I yelled scaring even myself. “I don’t take lies lightly and that’s all that comes for you so out now!” I walked back to my room threw in some running gear and took off. I hate Christmas and now I knew why. All the drama that comes with it.

The doorbell rang and I was called down stairs. Not in the mood until I looked at three racks full of wedding gowns. Holy Christ. I forgot about this part. “Ok let me choose alone.” I didn’t want anyone to see this, at leas o would have one thing for myself. 

Her mum stopped Rhett as he came back from running “she’s I’m the study trying on dresses, she’s very lucky to have someone who cares for her so much. Please take care of my beautiful daughter.”

I nodded. “She deserve nothing but the best. She is amazing in all ways. No one is perfect but she really is close.” I smiled. “I’d hug you but I really need a shower.” I felt like shit. I don’t think her mum would take the news all the bad like she thinks. I sighed and jumped in the shower. “I was so nervous.”

I stood looking at myself in the mirror, wearing my chosen dress. It was beyond beautiful. Simple for the occasion and nothing over the top. I walked upstairs. Knocking on the bathroom door, still dressed in it as our mums were busily setting up the back garden. “Rhett I need to fix my hair.” I said walking in

“Who knew you would take tradition so seriously, considering the circumstances.” I laughed some more, pulling the red lipstick from my makeup bag. “Will you wear that suit? The one you only wear for important meetings?”

I laughed. “No honey I have a extra special suit for today.” Still feeling around to get out I ended up grabbing her breast. “Oh shit sorry!” I know I had to be as red as can be right now.

“You’ve has your hands on far worse.” I assured taking his hands and putting them on his belt he was trying to grab. “You can open your eyes. It’s not a real wedding, maybe when you find th woman you’ll love you can be in seperate rooms.” But that woman wasn’t me.

I sighed. “I don’t plan on marrying again.” I said with a little anger. Keeping my eyes closed. “But thanks for the reminder can you just help me out of here and you can get ready.” It hurt that she had to bring that up.

“Fair enough.” I sighed, “just tell me when you’re ready and I’ll come outside.” I went back to the bathroom to finish my hair.

I sifh d I went to the closet and grabbed my suit. I then wrote a note

I told you last night once a baby is envolved I wouldn’t be able to give you up, unless you found someone you truly love. But once we say our vows then it becomes real to me. But if your going to continue to think his fake then don’t walk out there today. I take this seriously specially when there could very well be a child now.

I reread it then knocked on the bathroom. “Georgia I’m going to go get ready. When your done with your hair there is something for you on our bed.” I placed the note next to her ear rings I had picked out for her as a wedding gift. They matched her ring necklace and braclet. Then I left not knowing what she would think or do.

I walked out in my dress with my hair done in soft waves. I smiled seeing the earrings, and then frowned slightly picking up the letter to read. He was giving me emotional whiplash. Was I ready to just be married and then hopefully fall in love with him later on? I sat on the bed until my dad came in and said they were waiting. Standing, I nodded, my heart pounding. “Ok, yes I’m ready.”

I stood there waiting not knowing if she would walk down towards me or walk away from me. I was nervous as I had my father standing beside me. He leaned in and whispered. “Don’t worry she will come, she just has to be fashionably late like all woman.” I chuckled maybe but Georgia was never late.

As I stepped outside I spotted him instantly and my smile grew. I was all in and wanted to give this a shot for our maybe child’s sake. “She’s all yours.” My father chuckled shaking his hand

I smiled seeing how beautiful she looked. “Thank you sir I’m glad to take her.” I said to her father. I took her hand and smiled more. We were really doing this we were really crazy. We said our vows and I smiled when he said I could kissed my wife. I pulled her close “You came!” I said before kissing her. We were married. What the serious fuck

I blushed, nodding “well considering you are my husband, I think that gives me rights to do whatever I want and when I want to you.” We posed for photos and he carried me up the stairs to the bedroom, laying me on the bed. “We have heaps to talk about and decide but for now, just fuck me.”

I sat up, unzipping the sides and shimming out of it. In simple black lingerie beneath. “You broke your rules.” I pointed out pulling him by the tie and kissing him passionately
