Watching them back and forth "i...i'm sorry i came without calling. I left my phone here... i'll just grab some stuff and leave" he said going upstairs taking the stairs two at a time. Once in what used to be their bedroom he slammed the door and spotted a picture of them he grabbed it and put it first in his bag before he started putting random clothes and stuff he might need. He never wanted to see her with another man, but this was his doing, he had no right to be angry at her only angry at himself.

I told Luke I'd be in touch and locked the door behind him, rushing up the stairs with hurt in my heart as I flung open the door to our room "you're back because you left your phone here? And you need clothing? Are you shitting me!" I half yelled. I put the bag down and looked at her, really looked at her. She had lost weight, but her breast was still bigger than it should be. I looked at the manila envelope for a few seconds before throwing them on the bed and picking up my bag "i just want you to be happy. And i hope he's a good man, i hope he takes care of you and he treats you better than i ever did." I forced myself to walk out of the bedroom but once i reached the staircase i looked back at her "can i at least see the kids before i leave?"

I frowned "but Jason said.." I whispered, turning to face him. I noticed the beard, how tired his eyes looked "he told me to move on. That you were partying and living the single life." He works for the bank and my dad set it up, but I wanted to talk to him about selling the resturant so that's why he was here. "Your dad huh? I guess he finally got what he always wanted with me out of the picture" i sighed "never lily. It was never you and the kids, you're everything to me without you i'm nothing. "You wouldn't have let me go lily, and don't say you would have because we both no you wouldn't. Your lives were threatenned and i had no choice. I'd rayher die then let anything happen to you, of course i love you. I shook my head "i gave them my report today along with my resignation. And after what we've been through no one objected. They also told me that if i ever need their help with anything they'll oblige. I lost 3 men out there. And the ones that came back with me all left the agency".

I pulled her to me and hugged her tightly "i have some scars, i hope they don't repulse you" i pulled away gently "i'll take a shower and come find you, i don't need to rest i need to stay with you."

I smiled leaning in but only kissing her cheek. Because i knew that if i kissed her lips i'll never take a shower. "I won't be long" i whispered before getting up and into the bathroom. I took off my clothes and took a quick shower then shaved my beard leaving only a shadow of it. I put on a shirt and boxers and walked out of the bathroom to join her in bed " i really missed you. I like you hair short but i prefer it long" i cupped her face and crashed my lips on hers kissing her hard and passionately.
