"The bar exam? He wants to be a lawyer? I asked lily as Andy left" i sighed running a hand through my hair. "So how's your party going?"

"Yeah he's been studying a lot for it." I confirmed, looking around "my night is going great. My husband is acting strange, and my parents are nowhere to be seen." I looked around for them again. "But I checked the bookings and it's booked solid for the next five months which is great."

[Demona]

"Your parents were walking out of the janitor room earlier" i smirked "probably went to another spot" i chuckled and looked around "a lot of people made it, that's good" i turned to face her "yes but i'll tell you everything after the party"

"What do you mean went to another spot?" I looked at him horrified "what are they doing?"

[Demona]

"What do you think they are doing? Fucking in every spot they find." I sighed and watched men making their way between the clients and coming straight to me. I shook Daniel's hand "thanks for coming Dany" i looked at Lily "excuse me for a second baby" i lead the way to our villa and they took position "i don't want anyone near them dany, i don't like being threatened"

I was horrified as I marched towards my parents who were looking devellish and dad fixing his tie. "So I hope you've been wrapping up dad, mums not on any birth control as she's feeding and I'm just wondering if I could start making bets on the next baby being twins?" I said innocently. "enjoy the next spot you decide to visit next." And I walked away hoping that stops them.

"Mason calm down. He went overboard with threatening you but we need you back." He said sternly. "There is a threat we received, your wife and daughter. They sent photos last week of the two of them and had a message for us to deliver to you, this goes higher than I. You have no choice Mason."

[Demona]

"Maybe! But colton made it look like the agency is threatening my family. And i called you here as a friend, as for needing me back i'll talk to Anderson myself. Why don't you take Liam? Why me? How many time do i have to tell them i'm done?"

"Liam almost blew your cover last time. We don't need him compromising is further. As far as this goes, you're back regardless of your thoughts. You start in three days, I suggest you make sure everything is tied up at your firm. You won't have time for court." He said sitting down.

[Demona]

"Since when do you give me orders Dany? I was your superior" i handed him a glass of scotch and leaned on the bar "if my family is being threatened why sidn't you send in the cavalry to protect them?"

"Look mase, you left and wanted out. Things changed. There's new guys, they don't give a fuck. To them, your wife and daughter is leverage."

I stood by the pool on my own, watching my husband deep in conversation with another man. So much for being by my side all night. He's rarely been here. I let mum know I wasn't feeling well and went to the room just wanting to shower and cuddle Willow.

[Demona]

I chuckled "well i don't give a fuck either. And i'll protect my family myself. They cab get the Cartels on their own" i said just as Max came.
"You were lucky i was in the neighbourong island when you called. Where is the Villa?"

I chuckled and briefly hugged Max, "its good to see you Max, you remember Dany"
"Huh how could i forget that piece of.."
"Max" i warned him "its villa number 2 to your left"
"Alright brother, my team is at your service"

Max walked to the villa just as Lily was going in "hello" he smiled to her "are you Mason's wife?"

I looked at dany and put my glass on the bar "i'll go find my wife. You and your men can stay and enjoy the night but i want you all out by the morning" i said walking to the guests looking for Lily.

I frowned looking at the man in front of me "who are you? Why are you here for?" I asked confused as I held Willow closer against my chest. "Where is Mason?" The man went on telling me and when I heard the words CIA come out of his mouth I almost lost it. "He's back working for the CIA?!" I noticed the mouth piece hidden on his sleeve and grabbed his arm, speaking into the button "this is Lily. Bring Mason to me now!"

Brad jumped at the sound of how loud the woman's voice was in his ear, smirking back and was walking towards Mason trying not to draw attention. He leant in once finding him "your wife is looking for you in the villa." He said and then added "she's very pissed."

[Demona]

"Shit! Of course she is, tonight was supposed to be about her and i ruined it" i sighed going to the villa loosening my tie before spotting Max in the front "you told her?"

"Not everything, she's very persistant though"
"That she is yes" i walked inside and saw her sitting in the living room "i was looking for you "you should be with your guests" i spoke softly sitting in front of her.

"Well I'd rather be with my daughter." I said unable to look back at him. "It seems none of my family were around when I thanked everyone, my brothers were too busy chasing pussy. my parents were too busy fucking and my husband, was plotting his return to the CIA. So I stood there alone with no one of yous." I said quietly as I stood. "I'm going to bed now Mason. Don't follow me."

[Demona]

I took her hand and pulled her to me wrapping my arms around her "i wasn't busy plotting my return, i was busy trying to avoid it and trying to protect my family" i stroked her hair gently "i'm sorry, i couldn't express how sorry i am to have left your aide. But our family is being threatened and i had to call Max, the guy you saw outside. They are navy seal, they'll stay with us until i figure out what's really happening"

"I married a lawyer. Not a CIA agent. I want my husband back," I pulled away from his hold, tears burning my eyes. "You sound exactly like my father with all the security. I won't have my daughter growing up the way I have done.." I held back a sob "tonight was important to me and I asked you to stay by my side. You left me for over an hour Mason. You missed me go on about how wonderful my family is to support me but none of you were fucking there to hear it!"

[Demona]

"Lily the security is just temporary! And i'm not an agent anymore... they want me back and i don't want to go. Things changed in the agency to the point that Colton threatened you and willow and Nate! I wouldn't allow that... i know you're disappointed and so am i. I wanted nothing but to be with you tonight, i wanted you to see how proud i am, but it didn't go the way i planned. It never does. I'm sorry" i stroked her cheek softly "i love you so much Lily"

I looked up at him, rolling my eyes as tears ran down my cheek. "I'm tired. I'm going to take a shower then go to bed." I reached up wiping my tears, stepping out of my heels. "Nothing ever goes to plan for me. That's something I've realised tonight." I said softly walking to the bathroom with slumped shoulders.

[Demona]

I paced for a few minutes, the last thing i wanted to happen tonight was us fighting. I sighed taking my clothes off and walking to the bathroom where she was. I slipped in the shower behind her and wrapped my arms around her "i'm sorry" i kissed her bare shoulder and rested my head on it.

I leant back against him, placing my hands over his. "Mason what do you mean threatened? do I need to be worried?" I asked softly, willing myself not to cry.

[Demona]

"I was on the Cartel's case before i met you. And i was undercover, but they found me. They sent pictures of you and Willow to the CIA, a way to threaten me. To tell me we know who you are, and since the agency still hasn't caught them they want me back to work on this case. And when i said no colton threatened you too. That's why i called Max... they want ke back on monday. I'll go just to talk to Anderson and see what's really going on. I don't want you unprotected, at least until things are clearer."

I rolled my eyes, glad he couldn't see my expression. "I don't want you to go back working for the CIA. I remember what happened last time, where you were living it up poolside for how many months with that woman."

[Demona]

"Its not like that this time, they know who i am so i'm definitely not going undercover. I'll be working from the office i think"

"You think?" I half sighed. "What about the law firm? what about when Nate is born? are you going to be around then?" I was already dreading things to come.

[Demona]

"Lily" i whispered turning her around and cupping her face "i love you" was all i said before crashing my lips to hers "i'll do anything to protect our family and i don't want you to worry about anything"
