Rosalee Futch is a grocery clerk living in rural West Virginia. But even a small-town girl can have big dreams, and Rosalee's is to someday--somehow--meet her big-screen idol Tad Hamilton. The somehow arrives in the form of a contest--the grand prize: a date with Tad Hamilton--and the someday is now. Rosalee wins, much to the chagrin of her best friend and co-worker Pete, who is deeply, hopelessly--and secretly--in love with Rosalee. The Win a Date contest was cooked up by Tad's agent, Richard Levy, and his manager, also named Richard Levy, to clean up Tad's bad-boy image. Someone should have told them to be careful what you wish for. When Tad meets Rosalee and gets a taste of what he's been missing in the real world, he decides he wants seconds and moves to West Virginia, turning Rosalee's dream come true into a nightmare for Richard Levy, Richard Levy and, most of all, Pete.

Rosalie was working today, another boring day at work with customers who didn't really know what they wanted. she had to be patient and smile all the time. she finished checking the customer's items and relaxed in her chair looking at a miniature picture of her idol, yes she kept a picture of him, she was obsessed with everything revolving around Tad hamilton.

Jeremy, her best friend, walked into the office she was taking her break in "penny for your thoughts?" He asked watching her

[Demona]

Rosalie smiled blushing "the usual" she head to the computer and entered Tad hamilton's official web page. "I could totally win this thing!" she said looking at Jeremy excitedly "Look! a competition to win a date with Tad Hamilton!!" she squealed like a teenage girl

He rolled his eyes "why would you wanna go on a date with this fool?" He asked hovering over her, looking at the photo "the only thing he would talk about on that date is how much money he has and how many women adore him. He's a cliche!" He said with a laugh

[Demona]

Rosalie ignored him "I'm in whether you like it or not! and he's not a cliche, you're just jealous so many women wants him and drool over him." she pushed him playfully

He laughed and got on his knees "oh yes, please! Please  Rosalie! Love me like you love Tad!" He joked before her.

[Demona]

Rosalie burst in laughter and pushed him on the floor "Leave me alone" she laughed again "idiot"

He chuckled and got on his feet "come on.. Let's get back to work.." He said and walked back to his station.

A week later he was surprised to hear the gossip around the store about Rosalie actually winning the date "no way.." He whispered searching the store for her.

[Demona]

Rosalie was jumping around in the break room "I won the date! I won the date!"" she kept saying happily "I'm Finally gonna meet him!"

Jeremy frowned when he found her "whoa, slow down, you what now?" He asked

[Demona]

She stumbled backward as he startled her "jeez jeremy!! I won the competition! I'm going on a date with the man of my dreams"

He raised his brows "wow.. Uh.. Congrats.." He said trying to sound convincing.

[Demona]

"You're not happy...why aren't you happy!!? Come on Jer! It's all i wanted my whole life be a little more convincing" she pouted crossing her arms on her chest"

He chuckled "fine.. Fine.. I'm excited for you. When's this date??" He asked

[Demona]

"I'm flying to Los Angeles tomorrow!"

[GoddessofHope]

"Oh.. Wow tomorrow, have you called your sister?" He asked "I bet she's excited for you.."

[Demona]

"Oh! my sister! no i forgot ! " she looked at her her watch "I have to get back to work i'll call her when i'm done"

Jeremy Loved seeing her happy, but didn't trust this date, I mean come on! She's never even been out of this state before and all of a sudden she's flying out to LA?! "Maybe I could go with you.." He suggested to her

[Demona]

"go with me?" she looked at him wide eyes "Why? i mean...I don't know if they'll allow it"

" to protect you!" He explained with a frown

[Demona]

She mirrored his frown "from what Jer?"

[GoddessofHope]

He shrugged "I don't know! I don't know what's out there.. Neither do you." He said

[Demona]

She smiled and touched his cheek "don't worry about me"
