Drake Jones appears to be a ruthless , cold and selfish vampire. His long life has been full of wealth , money, entertainment and loneliness. By chance, he meets a young human girl named Sabrina and his life turns upside down in a positive way. Bio: Her parents sold her to the government´s lab when she was nine . Since then she has been sort of a lab rat . She has developed skills and powers that humans don´t normally have. When she was 16, she found a way to sneak out from the labs . That´s when she met Drake . They fell in love and they got married when she was 17 . He didn´t know anything about her real identity. He´s been the only real family she´s ever got . She was found and caught by the lab , so she was taken away from him. Being a human weapon means she´s designed to fight every kind of race or threat that isn´t human.

"What about as soon as we get to our destination?" I insisted. "He´s the one driving, right ?"

"Yes but that will be a while. How about I have him pull over and I drive." John didn't give her a chance to speak. "Drake pull over." He said as I pulled over. John got and told me to go in the back. As I got into the back I didn't look at her. I just spoke lightly. "Are you ready to be honest with me?"

"Yes" I nodded, watching him as he sat next to me. I waited for him to talk, though the silence between us made me uncomfortable, since it was proof enough of how things were not the same as before between us.

"Well talk!" I said looking at the window. How could she lie to me. Does she even love me.

I hated the fact he was treating me as if he did not care about me , as if I were nothing to him but a stranger. Not that I didn´t deserve it , though. "You could ask me what you want to know"

I sighed. "I just need to know who I'm in love with Sabri-". I laughed. "That's not your real name so you realize our marriage is invalid because you didn't use your real name. If they didn't find you would you have told me?" I looked at her. "Damnit the girl who said those vows and lived with me loved me does she even exists?"

My heart ached just by hearing him pronouncing all those words. He was suffering for me. I had hurt him a lot and I doubted he would forgive me any time soon. "Drake, I´m sorry for everything. I know that an apology will not fix anything, but at least I´m being honest at this very moment... Regarding to my identity, if we speak in legal terms, I don´t exist ; the name my biological parents gave me is Eden Nikuna, but when I was nine, I was reported as a dead citizen. That was done by the lab, so nobody would interfere with their plans . Legally , there is no Eden Nikuna anymore. What officially identifies me is this, the barcode you saw earlier..." I showed it to him once again. "That´s why they call me "Project zero. When I met you, I swear I tried various things to keep you away from me, but you were persistent. I was clueless about social interactions between people and had no idea what a relationship was. I was afraid of people in general. It was hard for me to pretend I was a regular human being like any other. I felt utterly lost . I made up the name Sabrina Vermont not so long before we met . I managed to get all those legal like papers in one of those places where they falsify them, obviously not being able to create actual ones. They were trying to find me and I could not trust a soul, not even you ..."

She didn't answer my questions. "So I was just there for you to blend in? You never felt anything for me? Is that what your saying Sabrina?" I used that name because that's who she was to me not this Eden or project zero. "I mean I love you and always will but if you don't feel the same way let me know and I'll leave you alone."

"No, you are getting this wrong. I love you Drake, I`ve always had. I did not want to lose you, that´s why I never told you the truth . I want to be with you, even if you hate me ..." I cleared . He seemed to be getting everything wrong.

I shook my head. "I'm not understanding. I told you my biggest secret in fear that when you found out that you would leave me. You should have told I could have thought of something to protect you." I say grabbing her hands. "I'm not going to lie I'm upset you hurt me but I want you I want to be with you."

I looked at our hands "I know and it made me feel more guilty and miserable the fact that you had being utterly honest with me. I...I wanted to be honest with you, but I had no idea how to tell you about it , besides I knew you would try to do something to help me and I could not let that happen. They would have hurt you if they knew I cared about you "

I shook my head "I have something they don't. My love for you makes me more powerful than them. You need to trust me."

I smiled up at him before saying "Did you really think I had stopped loving you ?" I trusted him, Drake had always been a genuine man. I did not trust Dimitri, I acknowledge he would do anything in his power to take me away from Drake or any guy that would not be him. He was so sick.

I sighed. "Honestly I didn't know what to think I was hurt I felt betrayed when I saw you with him I had a million things running through my mind." I smiled and pulled her closer. "Too me you'll always be my Sabrina."

I took one of my hands out of his in order to caress his cheek. "I don´t know which things exactly were in your mind when you saw me with him, though all I can tell you is I´ve lied to you about many things, but I have never lied about my feelings toward you"

I leaned down and pressed my lips to hers. I needed to feel her against me as I pulled her closer. I ended the kiss. "I will do whatever it takes to free you of this Sabrina!" I wasn't lying either. I would do anything.

I rested my forehead against his "Drake, I'm scared...You have given me the best years of my life. You have been the only real family I've ever had. You took care of me , spent your money on me, provided me love and so many other things. I don't want you to endanger yourself for me. I would never forgive myself if something bad happened to you"

I grinned. "So we feel the same way and you should understand that I wouldn't be able to love either if something happened to you as well. So I will do whatever it takes to protect you. Your mine and I will have you back."

"Are you saying that you forgive me ? So, we can be together as we were before ?" My eyes lit up at the sound of his last words.

I smiled. "Yes but we need to take care of all this first. Then we can start off where we left off."

"You are right" I nodded. I leaned in to kiss him again. I had missed him so much, even though we had been a few weeks away. I craved to feel his lips against mine, craved to feel his touch.
