I leave with drako. I had read the words on his lips. Until now I hadn't ever cared about my hearing.

I wait till you and both dragons were out of ear shot and glare at the assasin. "your lucky that im in a good mood" i say as i send an exploding fire ball up into the air signalling the gaurds and they rush to me and take the assasin to the dungeons to be hanged later i decide to walk back to the palace feeling drako gently prodding but i gently close my mind off from him telling him wed talk later and you c him constantly looking back in the direction of the small clearing as you and the dragons get closer to the palace.

We land inside my room and I keep Drako and Lyra from running off. Well Drako did that for Lyra because I couldn't.

i come back about an hour later and softly knock on your door drako gently nudges ur shoulder with his tail to tell you someone is at the door thats a friend.

I nod and answer the door.

I gently push against the door as it opens and i look over at you quickly scanning you for any wounds. "you ok?" I ask concerned.

"I am alright. Just a little scared." I said.

I nodded and walk in gently closing the door. "im glad ur safe." I say as i sit down kinda heavily in the chair and pull out a knife and start cutting the pants leg off at the knee.

"Yeah, me too," I said as I sat on my bed with Lyra.

"that one isnt as bad as i thought it would be." I said as i heal it slowly after washing it with clean water. "well looks like we will have to be more careful from now on when we go outside of the palace and i think we need to get you a body gaurd until lyra is grown enuf to comunicate with you thru her mind.

I nodded. "I thought that naturally I would always have the guards by me when I went out, even if there isn't a war." I said.

"normally yes but they figured since im usually with you that your a hundred percent safe with me. But i cnt protect you all the time." I say and look down sighing.

"That's something kind of obviously. It's a thing that happens, even in our time. Queen Elizabeth had protection, and Princess Diana." I said.

"i dnt no who they are but ok. I understand. I guess the gaurds are just healous bc i am the youngest major ever in our military as well as i was told the only one that surpassed my teachers by the age of 15 i dnt like t9 brag about it tho but i guess word gets around quickly .

"Well if they don't get over their childish acts they're fired, I can find someone else who is better than they are," I said.

I nodded and sighed softly. "in that case youd need to fire the whole military and rebuild it from the ground up. But we dnt have the time nore the money to outfit over 20 thousand men and women as well as train them properly within a matter of days. Bc every one is jealous and is holding a grudge against me bc of my skills and abilitys. But they are still doing evrything they can to keep the enemy at bay

"Well jealousy is blinding, no matter what they should not think of you and your age. It holds them back. It's a wonder that they've been able to hold the enemy back being jealous." I said.

"i agree with you but theres nothing we rele can do. Until the wars over." I say as i gently take ur hand in mine

"what do you have in mind?" I ask curiously

I shrugged. "I just thought the word of their princess would make them focus on the war more," I said.

"yea that might work but remember ther are still ppl out there that dnt like you been the heir to the throne bc of ur hearing

"but dnt worry il be there when you decide to but it might go over better once your corinated to the thrown and become queen." I say as i gently rub your hand with my thumb
