"I kind of hope he and Lyra are meant to be more than brother and sister. I'd like to see their babies, I think they'd make pretty ones," I said.

I nodded. "But I don't want them to start as soon as she's old enough. I mean, if they want I won't stop them but I think they need a dating thing going just like we do," I said. I looked to Drako as a questioned formed with that thought. "Drako, do you mate for life or do you just mate with who lets you?" I asked him. Knowing it's probably personal to him, but I was curious.

"Ok, I promise that unless it's Lyra I won't intrude on your love life. But I can't promise anything if she is involved."

He chuckled againwich i could never get used to the grinding rock avalanch in his chest and nodded. "i understand you want wats best for her

"Yes, and I know you are probably the best for her. But I'm going to be really excited if you guys have kids."

I smiled and he laughed again "and i can garruntee lyra will be excited when you 2 have kids as will i but i know that they will be scared of us untill they are older

"But they will be fine. Who knows, maybe we'll have to share our kids, I could have a rider of one of yours," I said.

"if they so choose." He said and smiled. "a dragon can wait an eternity before it chooses the right one. Lyra there is well over a hundred in the egg but she is still just a neborn trying to find her own path. Such is the spell we lay upon our eggs when they are formed

"Then why are there a few unclaimed in the nursery? I have a bunch of eggs that just hatched and no one claims to have been claimed by them," I said.

Some of ours are not enchanted by the bond the mother may choose wether to give some to the riders or keep them as her own the ones unclaimed were orphaned and brought to us to make sure they lived and as soon as thry are strong eenough they will take flight and live out their lives. Most dragons choose 1 egg out of a set of 3 or 2 if there is more to be given to the riders and the rest become wild dragons to live freely as they choose keeping the balance ever vidilint for if one race or anothrr becpmes 2 strong another great war that threatens the world could come about and riders and dragons could beco me extinct"

"Yeah, Lyra likes having them around. She was bored while you two were gone and I was busy with being the queen, so I didn't have time to play with her all the time," I said and looked up at her as he shifted and she began sliding. She woke as she accidentally fell and slid down, stop on his nose.
