When she was a baby her country went to war. To protect her, her father called the program to take her. She was only 5 months old. The man who rescued her was married and hadn't been able to give his wife a child. So now he could. He took her in and raised her as a normal girl, with no knowledge of her real parents or that she was a princess, just that she's adopted. Then a very strange boy comes to school and says her name before asking it. Then he asks her to come home with him. Upon further knowledge she finds out who she is and she's his betrothed. Her country is slowly following apart. So will she go to the home she never knew? And she learns a secret that her parents didn't know, she is a fea.

I looked at the egg seeing it shaking as he was trying to get out. But he wasn't ready yet. I smiled at the egg then at him. "Well when the dragon is older we will take in one."

I smiled, "well we can invest in a room for cats, it wouldn't be a bad idea. And whatever else my kingdom needs." I said.

"right now we need most is roders and dragons hatching for them. Bc their the main force we do have sum men on foot mostly to man the war machines but quite a few dwarves and elves that have helped to keep us from losing ground against our enemys. That and we need armor and weapons almost all the time. Unfortunatly the council will over rule your cat room until this war is over. Bc all funding is going into the war." I look up as drako shifts slightly "someones coming." He says to us

A guy nocked on my door across thehall "in the queens room" i say out loud and a woman dressed for battle comes in and bows to us both before saying. "major we got one of the enemy a drow. We have him in interigation now trying to get as much as we can out of him." I nod and smile softly. "how high of rank do younthink he is knight." I asked politely and the knight smiled back as she ansers. "major maybe captain sir." I nodded and smiled more. "good tho i doubt drow are in the habit of telling their infiriours anything important whatever intell may be gained will be good. And who caught the drow." She stood straighter as she smiled even bigger. "i did sir." I nodded and walked up to her and rested my hand on her shoulder. "very good knight you did very good. Keep up the good work and i may recomend you for a higher rank." I said and she beems with pride and respect for me. "who else knows." I asked and she replys. "you are the first sir." I nod slowly and drako relays all the conversation to you. "i would suggest keep the drow down wind for now the less ppl that know the better till we can get intel from him." She nods and bows low againbefore leaving.

I nodded and sighed softly. "yea i guess but war has always taken its toll on us" i say as i sit back down next to you

I nodded. "It has, America was or is in the middle of a war. But then we pulled out of the country, then a terrorist attack occurred at thee Boston marathon."

"is that like a seige or assasination in some town or party?" I asked not even tryingnto ma sk my confusion as to what ur talking bout

"A marathon is where people run 26 or 26.2 miles. A terrorist attackis when someone from another country causes some depression. Like the fall of the twin towers. What they do is they find a big group of people and bomb them," I said.

So its alot like a group assination. Only with say a dragons fire ball exploding in the middleof a crowd." I say trying to relate what gour saying to what i understand

"Sort of. A bomb is often different objects, a phone, a carriage or car, even animals and people. It was part of a religion to sacrifice yourself." I said.

"seems like a waste if you ask me. I bet whatever country their in they have a very high death rate" i say as i look at you and drako puffs lightly as he listens carefully to our converstation.

"I don't know, never looked it up. I was just afraid of world war three possibly happening. Which means all your major countries are on two or even three or more sides. It's also able to come in to our territory."

"well we have our own world war going on here but its mostly contained." I say with a small smile

"I know, but at least we don't have to live in bomb shelters and I am still in my home. Our President doesn't fight, even if he is male. He orders the military to do it, I think. I was a little surprised hearing I have to deal with military affairs, I though t it as a man's job, when it comes to this." I said.

"for humans and dwarves yes but for us the elves and our distant dark living cousins the drow both are considered ablebodied tondeal with anything military but women in the drow are considered hiarchy instead of as equals like we are. But i will try and bear the burden of military might as much as i can and c if i can keep you and your dragon away from the fighting as much as possible. Bc your hearing is one of the best ways of information on the battle field if you dnt have your ears your dead almost as soon as the battle starts." I say with a sigh and look down feelings of uselessness return when i think of how much everyone was depending on the daughter of the king to lead our forces to victory and yet she will be forced to stay away from it lest i let her die from her not having her hearing

"Is there a way possibly I could use magic to give a supplement sense?like being able to anticipate the movements or just feel someone. I could fight without my hearing but my odds aren't good. I have tried, and succeed a lot but not with real swords."

i laugh alittle. "y do you think im gana be teaching you magic. All magic users have what some whould call a 7th sense. Evrryone in this realm whonwas born and raised here has learned how to feel what a knight would call their danger sense. Or 6th tlsense magic users have what is called the 3rd eye alowing you to mentally probe and feel what others do think see smell touch even hear. But it takes practice to learn how to pinpoint exactly where and who is targeting you. I will teach you everything i no and once your dragon is big enuf to teach him as well. Bc you guys will have to rely on eachother. Me and drako have long since gotten to that point where we are able to learn from eachother as well as think feel hear taste and sense what eachother is thinking but still it will be a long dangerous road. And i will do everything in my power to protect you when i can." I say asni look at you. And gently squeeze your hand. And drako adds, "we both will do our best to teach you as well as protect you

I nod, not liking the fact that I had to be protected. I looked at the egg which was on,y lightly shaking because he was tired. "That little dude is desperate?"

Most are to break out and meet their companions." I say as i reach for my night again and this time with the tip of the blade gently tap a hole larg enuf for it to work with and smile. Preaying and hoping that it can break free with what lottle help wev provided.

I smiled at the egg. "I think you should sleep tonight buddy and try again tomorrow." I told it and as if in agreement it stopped shaking.
