"Alpha this shouldn't have happened... I'll have a talk with them."

“He wanted to surprise me for the weekend, he took me away and look what happened, she sighed. Lenny thankfully wasn’t with us.” I said and looked at Willow.

“Be strong, you need to be strong for Lenny and your daughter.” I smiled placing a hand against her stomach.

Ava looked at her oddly “I’m not pregnant, I- we couldn’t be.” She let out a soft laugh, it was impossible to be since we haven’t had sex and yesterday well yesterday wouldn’t have done anything.

“Oh I’m sorry I think I May have you confused with another girl who’s here at the clinic, I’m sorry.” I stood up and glanced at Hunter “I’ll be back, my husband is just talking with his brother who we were visiting.” I slowly walked away knowing indeed she was pregnant, and with my sons mate.

"No it shouldn't have" hunter said looking at Willow who was acting kind of weird "now we'll have to tell her he's alive and safe but he's a werewolf!" Hunter looked at the nurse making her way to Ava informing her he was out of surgery but still out. He took Willow's hand "how close are you to her?"

“Close enough, but we’re going to be a lot closer.” I said quieter at the end. “You know with him a wolf she will still be full human, what happens if she isn’t his mate? She can’t take any stress so no, Cane won’t be ha fling anything, you will be Hunter. This is your responsibility now to make sure they both are taken care of and looked after, and I’m not asking you as your wife, I’m telling you as your Luna you will do this.”

"You are so fucking hot right now you know that?" Hunter said through their mind link with a smirk "Sure. I'll do that, but you, as my Luna will have to help me through it. You'll have to be there for me and take responsibility as well. Now i think we should start telling her before he wakes up. For now leave the mate thing out"

“Stop it or I’ll drag you into a room” i smirked, wait I didn’t say that outpouring but it came across in my mind. I sighed “we can’t cause her any stress, she’s pregnant and doesn’t know.” I kept my voice down. I wanted to tell him but didnt. “You need to explain things in a calm way.”

"Well teach me how, If anything i'm not calm at all right now!" Hunter sighed glaring at Cane who looked down "yeah that's it look down. I still can't believe you let a rogue breach our wards!"

Hunter cut him off "I know you weren't here. I kbow you and your mate were out, which have been happening a lot lately. But we will discuss this later Cane!" He took Willow's hand "let's talk to your friend"

“Be calm. There’s something I need to tell you but I don’t know how and it sounds crazy but clearly this is all crazy.” I sighed running both hands through my hair and looked around the room and back at him “I knew she was pregnant, but she’s pregnant with our sons mate.”

"Our son? Ryder? And you can know that just by touching her belly? If it's true, i'll have to ask Zach to join the pack."

“I felt it the moment we arrived, I was pulled to her and can feel it. I touched her stomach and felt everything and she has no idea she is pregnant.” I bit my lip and looked up at him “I hope she takes it well, because he’s going to need her patience and support.”

"He is yes..." i took a deep breath "let her meet me outside. I don't anyone hearing this conversation"

“Ok, I’m going to check on him. You go take her outside and just be calm and patient.” I stood up on my toes and kissed his lips softly, “I love you.” I smacked his butt and grinned walked away to the recovery room.

Hunter grinned looking back at Willow. He waited until Ava was near the exit and walked out and away from the clinic.

"Ava, good morning, I'm Hunter, Willow's husband. I need to tell you exactly what happened if you are ready for it"

“I don’t understand, how do you know what happened when you weren’t even there?” I asked, sitting down on the bench seat.

"I know things. I'm responsible for this town. This is private land, no one outside this town is allowed where you've been camping. And my men failed to keep you, or that wolf out"

Well nobody was there when we turned up, the gates were open and nothing said private property.” Ava said confused. “Wait- how was you meant to keep a wolf out?”

"We have patrol crews, but they missed that wolf. And that wolf bit Zach on purpose to get back at us" I said carefully. "You see there are things about this world, legends, you never thought existed. But I'm afraid they do"

I listened to what he was saying, and soon began to feel nervous being here. “I want to go.. I want to take Zach somewhere else.. I don’t believe you.” I said starting to grow afraid. I was about to say something else when a man walked out of the doctors “sorry alpha, she won’t believe you otherwise.” The beta said and turned into a massive brown wolf. I stood there covering my mouth and then backing up to the wall “oh my god are you telling me Zach is one of those now?!”

I gritted my teeth "Cane no!" But it was too late he already shifted. Willow was going to kill me. "Ava he won't hurt you okay? He's my brother, protector of these lands. Zach is one of us now, I'm sorry he got too much venom in his system. We couldn't reverse that."

“What the actual fuck?!” Willow burst through the doors and glared at Hunter “I said gently! Not like this!” I looked at Cane and then over to Ava who’s eyes were wide. I took her by the hand and pulled her in for a hug and offered her calmness “Zach is awake, he’s asking for you.” I whispered and led her in to him but not without glaring at the boys once more

"Why the hell did you do that Cane!" I groaned at him and walked after them. Ava went in first and i caught Willow's hand "it wasn't my doing. I was talking to her and he just shifted"

“We will talk about this later. It seems the alpha has a lot of authority around here when people don’t listen.” I let his hand go and walked Ava into the room before pausing at the door “don’t worry. I’ll explain it to the both of them.”

Hunter turned back and glared at Cane before going into the room with Ava and Willow.

Zach looked up and smiled weakly "Ava... I'm sorry I didn't have time to run, the wolf was so big"

I haven’t been able to reach your mum to check in on Lenny.” She whispered, kissing him with passion “I thought I’d lost you.. your fat ass was so heavy to get into that car.” She giggled softly. “I’m just glad you’re awake and remember me.” She turned to Hunter “you can tell him now.”
