I nodded, turning back around and looking at the house “Ok Thankyou.” I didn’t know why I was thanking him but I just did and went inside and back to the bedroom, needing sleep to take me

Mason walked to the living room "willow? Maybe you should check on your friend. Give her reassurance maybe?"

“Maybe she needs a memory loss spell because she is freaking out.” I noticed my mums look and grinned “kidding! Jesus.” I said, going to talk to her once she wakes up. She’s asleep, and I just hope Hunter is managing ok.”

Cane came in and looked everywhere but Willow's direction "Hunter found him, they are running laps together. He'll get him home in an hour or so"

“Good. You can leave now” I mumbled turning and walking away before I spun back around “you’re going to get yourself or Hunter killed one day so how about you stop acting like you’re this gods gift to fucking werewolves and think before you act for once. You only care about yourself and walk around with this entitlement.” He irritated me beyond words

Mason was surprised by his daughter,s outburst. But what surprised him most was Cane's lack of reaction.
"Yes Luna" he said before getting out of the house.

"You know talking to a Beta like that isnmt such a good idea. And he's your brother in law. You should show him some respect sweetie"

I looked at my dad and shook my head “after what he did yesterday, I have no respect for him. He turned into a wolf while Hunter was trying to break the news to Ava about Zach, and then he told her that he will be mated to somebody for life and she may not be that woman.” I sighed sitting on the couch “why am I so angry? I just want to punch something.”

Lily raised a brow “and I have always said you had my fathers temper. Just try and not let him get to you, you both need to get along.”

"You do have steven's temper" mason sighed and sat next to her he took her hand in his and smiled "everything will be fine. Hunter will come back to you tonight. Stop worrying, about everyone else and focus on your baby.

“All I do is think about everybody else. It’s hard not to” I said. “Hunter was turning me this weekend. And I just think I’m anxious about how that’s going to go. After seeing how Zach is, it’s freaked me out.”

[Demona]

"Turning you? While pregnant? Hell no! I would never allow that. It could kill you or the baby, the first change is always painful. You'll have to wait until after your baby is born"

“What?” I didn’t know this “well that just sucks doesn’t it.” I huffed leaning back with my arms crossed over my chest. “What time is dinner tomorrow?”

[Demona]

"Why are you so grumpy?" I looked at Lily "even my presence isn't soothing her!"

“I don’t know, she’s not herself. Something isn’t right.” Lily frowned, sitting on the couch beside her.

“I’m fine.” I sighed, “I think I just need some sleep.” I was worrying about Hunter being gone. “Maybe I’m just frustrated with the world. I have given everything up for a man and now what do I do? I don’t work, I can’t cook, I’m pregnant and didn’t know... I’ll never be a lawyer again.”

"Oh... you don't have to give up anything. Why would you? You're an independent strong woman. You can still be a lawyer"

“How? Incase you haven’t noticed I’m now living in a town that humans aren’t allowed in. Hunter needs to be here. I just need to find something I’m good at out here. I hate that I’m different to him.” I just wanted to be the same, and it hurt me that I wasn’t.

[Demona]

Mason looked at Lily and smiled "well I guess it's like mother like daughter. Your mother felt the same and we decided i should turn her. And Hunter we'll turn you too, you'll just have to wait a bit longer"

“Now her moods, I understand. She’s feeling different and her fighting with Cane isn’t about anything but the fact he’s a wolf and can do all of that where she can’t.”

“Wait you’re going to change mum? When?” I asked wide eyed

Mason smiled "I never knew she wanted to be a wolf so I never thought I should ask her. But she finally told me she wanted to be like me but still be a witch. I know there is a ritual we can do while i bite her so she keeps her powers. We'll talk to your grandma tomorrow at dinner"

“Well I want to know how it works, I want to do that too so I don’t loose mine either.” I sat up straighter when I heard Ava coming down the stairs “is he back yet? I don’t know what to do, I’m losing my mind waiting around.” I sighed

[Demona]

"He'll be back soon, Cane informed us they are having a run. It's his first shift so he's fueled with energy, he needs to take it all out before coming back. Sit with us" an hour later Mason got a whiff of their scents and smiled "they are coming."

Cane was outside with clothes he handed to both men. "How was your run?"

Hunter smiled "this guy is fast Cane, stop making mistakes as a beta or he'll take your place" Hunter joked and they laughed.

Zach was looking around frantically "where Ava?"

“She went back up to the bedroom, Lenny went down for a sleep.” Lily said, glancing at Willow and nervously towards mason. She didn’t know what was about to happen.

My heart was racing. I felt sick, I couldn’t focus on anything and I was just nervous to think what was going to happen.

[Demona]

"Before I go and see her, I want to thank you all for caring and helping us. It means a lot and makes me feel I'm not alone"

"You're part of the blue moon pack now Zach. You're never alone"

I nodded and made my way up. If the mate thing was true, i would now discover if Ava was my mate or not. It could change both our lives but even if she wasn't my mate I wouldn't leave her. I knocked on the door and peaked my head inside "Ava?" I called before going in. I saw her laying on the bed and it felt like something inside me was pushing me toward her, it was like that something was trying to communicate with me. "Ava, are you asleep?" The feelings i had for her before had changed. They were amplified.

“I’m awake.” I rolled over and turned to face him, sitting up in the bed. “Are you ok? How do you feel?” I asked, too afraid to ask

I took two long strides closing the distance between us and took her hand in mine pulling her up to me s we were chest to chest. "I'm good, actually more than good. I'm great Ava, and I found my mate!"
