“Calm down.” I took a deep breath, trying to remain relaxed and calm. “It’s too early, I just need you to help me up so I can put my underwear on.” I rubbed my stomach, and closed my eyes “this baby needs to cook for longer, she isn’t ready to come out yet.”

“No she isn’t ready she needs to get stronger.” I was so worried I stoped and took a deep breath though and got her panties put them on and then lifted her up to take her to the car we needed to hurry up and stop this labor.

Tom came bursting over as we were making our way down to the car. “Lily left! Her and Gunnar broke up.. he moved out and she’s written this note and her phone is off!” He rushed out panicked. I looked at Tanner and being calm was not happening. “What do you mean she’s gone?” I worried, reading the note myself “where is she? We need to go and find her- ahh.” I sucked in a sharp breath. “Jesus Christ. Not now baby. I can’t do this now.. we need to go and find lily.” I said with tears

The doctor checked everything, and gave a stern warning “bedrest.” I half scoffed. “I have children and a toddler. Like I can rest.” He shook his head and sat down “bedrest, otherwise I’ll admit you to hospital for the remainder of your pregnancy. She needs to keep for a couple more months.” And he looked at Tanner “stop getting the woman pregnant, book in and get a vasectomy and give the lovey lady a break.” He winked.

Bedrest. That was beyond fun. I couldn’t do anything and Tanner had been over the top protective. I was calm, relaxed and feeling good. The nursery complete and I sat on our bed folding the little outfits I couldn’t wait to dress her in. “Babe.” I called out, standing up and rubbing my lower back. “Can you run me a hot bath please?” I had a feeling this wasn’t going to be a normal bath as my water broke and I felt pressure. “Tanner. I need you now.”

I came running into the rum looking at her. “Dear god woman what now I’m trying to finish up some last minute things for our baby girl.”

“Run the bath.” I said again smiling. “Your baby girl, is ready to come into this world. I pointed down, wet between the legs “my waters broke.”

I smiled. “Shit okay yes! It’s time for it.” I still was not as calm as she was I never new how she did it although I would get calm I still didn’t understand how she did this again and again it looked like it hurt like a bitch.

I was so ready for this, to have a calm labour. He rang the hospital informing them I was having this baby soon and they were sending a couple doctors and a midway fe around just to help if needed. In the bath, the lights dimmed low as I listened to the sound of rain pouring on our roof, I felt pressure again and I was soon pushing, Tanner between my legs as our baby girl came out fast and he wrapped her, placing her on my chest. It was perfect.

I smiled. “She is perfect like her mum and sister. I sent a group text letting them all know she was here. I included Gunnar as well. After the doctors and midwife looked over our baby girl and over char I was laying in bed with them watching her nurse. “I love you so much.”

“I love you.” I smiled, in a complete happy bubble of bliss right now. “Our little Willow, she’s perfect.” I looked up to him, cupping his cheek “and you were amazing, I did worry you would faint at one stage but she’s here safe and healthy.”
