I cooked, cleaned and then served up dinner and cleaned up again. I felt like I hadn’t done anything except make sure everyone was fed and then cleaned up as they all sat around the fire pit, talking and laughing with music playing. As midnight passed, I left quietly and went to bed.

“I was hoping to talk to you and Charlotte alone at some point soon. Maybe one day lily is working?”
