lily suffered something tragic.

“Well he isn’t giving up, he’s strong and going to make it through this.” My voice cracked as I spoke with determination. I couldn’t believe this. “You have to get it all.. he needs to wake up, and be better.”

I watched the young girl break down and her mother father her up. “I’m sorry I have to get back in there. I’m doing my best.” He turned and walked away hopping he does right with this.

After a long 15 hours I walked out seeing the tired girl. “He isn’t awake and we had to put him in a medical induced coma, I do believe we got everything. Only time will tell now, we would like to keep him sedated for at least a few weeks unless the swelling goes down faster.” He sighed. “You May go sit with him.”

Weeks?! I nodded, my eyes stinging from exhaustion. When I walked into the room, I didn’t prepare myself for the image in front of me. Tubes everywhere hooked up to him and his head in a bandage. I slowly walked over and sat, taking his hand “oh Gunnar, you’re going to be devestated when you see the bald patch on your head.” I smiled.

It’s been a few weeks now and the doctor just came in and said they will be taking him off the sedation and everything looks to be healing right on track.  They said it may take him a day or couple days to wake up though.

I kept hearing lily talk, I wanted to hold her and tel her I was okay and to stop crying she was always crying it seemed.  I know Noah was here taking care of her but I wanted to be the one doing that. I felt her grab my hand and I tried and tried to squeeze back and once I did I heard her gasp and talk some more. Making me want to smile god I love her.

“I’ve been staying at the apartment, snowball has been keeping me company, except when she was naughty and kind of ripped your school bag.” I sighed “so I wouldn’t let her in the bed, but she jumped up later on anyway when I was asleep.” I kissed his hands wanting him to wake up “I have given you sponge baths too, and may have purposely gave you an erection once or twice.”

I chuckled. “You mean we can still have kids?” I managed to cough out. “God I love you lily.” I didn’t know the day but it felt like it’s only been one but she said she has been staying at the apartment so it has to have been longer.

I jumped up, shocked he was talking. “You’re awake! Oh god I didn’t think you’d ever wake up. You’ve been sleeping for almost two months.. don’t ever complain about needing sleep again.” I smiled, cupping his cheeks and kissing him softly.

“2 months?” I coughed. “Shit baby I’m so sorry. Come here I need you in my arms.” Theo fucking months oh my god my poor lily I felt terrible. “Baby don’t cry I’m okay.”

“Don’t be sorry you haven’t done anything wrong.” I climbed up, Laying by his side “I’m so relieved you’re awake. I’ve been coming here every day. Are you feeling ok?”

I smiled. “My throat hurts and my head hurts a little but other than that I feel good. How are you feeling?” Two months I’ve been gone two months shit is she pregnant so I ask fuck I just want to hold her some more.

“I’m fine. Just tired and missing sleep.” I closed my eyes, holding onto him before sitting up “i should call the doctor to come here, you need to be looked at.. but.. they got everything Gunnar, all the tumour is gone.”

I smiled. “Good I knew they would. You should get some sleep baby I’m okay now go back to the apartment and sleep and eat.” I said not wanting her to go but she needed to take care of herself

“No, I’m not leaving you.” I promised. “I can’t leave you when you’re awake.” I whispered, my eyes growing heavy as I curled in closer.

I smiled. “Your a stubborn girl lol. But I love it I love you baby.” I laid there holding her as she slept in my arms not being able to help myself I placed a hand over her belly wondering

I felt his hand on my lower stomach, but kept my eyes closed. “I love you so much.” I whispered. “Are you ok?”

I smiled. “Everything is perfect baby.” I started to make little circles on her belly. “I don’t want to waste anymore time. “I want to marry you as soon as your 18, I want to have babies and buy a home with you.” I kissed her head. “Hell if your parents let you I would marry you right now!”

“What?” It must be the drugs talking. “I love you.. try and rest baby, you’re probably coming off the drugs will. We don’t need to rush into anything, we’ve got everything to look forward to.”

I smiled. “ o it’s not the drugs I wanted to tell you this before the surgery but I didn’t cause I wasn’t sure I would make it. I love you lily I want you to be my wife.” I tried sitting up a little. “I have a ring at the apartment, I wanted to propose in a special way but with everything that happen I just want to ask now please lily will you marry me?”

I nodded “yes.. of course I will..” I smiled, linking my fingers through his. “I love you Gunnar, and we’re going to need to be married because.. I am pregnant.”

I sat up more not moving my hand. “We are having a baby!” I was so happy it meant a lot to me. “I’m sorry I was not awake when you found out I wish I was you were probably scared, does anyone else know?” I just couldn’t stop with the questions I was so excited.

“No and I don’t want to tell anyone for awhile yet, I’m scared and not ready but we will figure this out.” I laid my head on his chest “I put off school.”

I sighed. “You shouldn’t put school off baby you can still go and get as much in and then go back. I want you happy and I know how much you wanted to go to that school.” This made me said because this is all my fault and I was so happy she fell pregnant but I don’t want her to regret it or resent me in the long run.

“Yes but I can’t really focus on school if I’m pregnant so I have to take the time off.” It wasn’t the best thing and I was terrified. I just couldn’t belive I was pregnant. “Anyway, you’ll make it for the scan this afternoon. I went last week, and have a photo.” I smiled, pulling it from my back pocket to show him.

I looked at the photo in my hand not really know exactly what I was looking at but I knew my baby was somewhere in it. I looked at her then the photo. “God I love you so much lily, but I don’t want you to regret not going to school right now, just think about because it’s huge. If your keeping out baby I want to make sure it’s because you want to not because you know how I feel.”

“I’m not regretting anything Gunnar, I just don’t want you think you have to ask me to marry you because you’re scared..” I trailed off. “I wanted you to ask me all random and spontaneously planned because you wanted a future with me, not because you’re afraid of dying. I love you regardless and this baby, as unplanned and way too early as it is, I’m happy because it’s your baby.”
