“I don’t know Gunnar.” I sighed “like I said, I don’t have a dress and my fat head of a brother ate my prom posial.” I muttered annoyed. I’d get him back for this.

I smiled. “He does have a fat head don’t he?” I pulled her close. “Lily I love you and I would be byline honored if you would be my date to your prom?” I kissed her softly. “Please baby, we can do this and then go out and spend the night away.”

“Fine, but if you dance with anyone else I’ll break your fingers.” I promised with a smile. “Want to go visit the mall? We need a dress and suit.”

I smiled. “I would never dance with anyone but you.” And yes we should go and find something. But first.” I said then called for Tom as he came into the room I looked at him. “Since your an ass and ate her proposal you can clean this mess up and then drive us to the mall!” I winked.

He groaned “damn it! But fine..” he grabbed the bags and started cleaning the mess up. “This will be perfect, Gunnar can’t be around when you choose a dress tho, I’ll make sure it’s going to knock those bitches on their asses when they see you.”

I laughed. “I’m pretty sure I can be around lax unless she doesn’t want me to.” I looked at her and smiled. “And honestly she could wear a garbage sack and still knock those bitches out of the park.”

“Well, I think a surprise would be kind of fun.” I smiled, agreeing with my brother. “You shouldn’t see me until you come to pick me up.” We left for the shops, and I wasn’t sure what dress I wanted to wear. I tried on plenty, and had just about given up when the shop assistant had called me over “Lily, I actually have something new out the back, it’s a designer Alexander McQueen.”

“She’ll try it on!” Tom grinned “trust me, you want to.”

And so, I tried it on. It was perfect, elegant and sexy. $13000 on my dads credit card later with $5000 shoes and $4300 in jewellery, we was on our way home. I spotted Gunnar and smiled big “I hope you’re ready to be wowed by my dress.” I grinned.

I smiled at her and saw Tom nodding his head.  “Always I love you and I’m always wowed by you everytime I see you.” I kissed her and got into the car.  “It will be fun baby.”

I put my bags away, and walked over to Toms room where they both were “want to watch a movie?” I asked, falling down on the bed beside Gunnar. “Or we could go back to your place?”

I smiled. “As fun as that sounds I think we need to be here for when your parents get home.” I hated to say that cause I wanted her so bad but I knew that it would be a good idea to be here when they got here.

“Alright, well I am going to shower and put my pyjamas on.. feel free to join me” I winked, reluctantly pulling away.

Tom rolled his eyes “she’s not subtle is she.. so uh, where are you taking my sister for this trip away?”

I smiled. “I planned on taking her to the cabin I have and just be held up there.” I smiled and reached in my pocket fingering the box I had. “I wanted to ask her to marry me but I’m going to wait I’m going to make this little trip special and then when the time is right I’ll take her back and make it special for her because she deserves it.”

“Why aren’t you asking her this time?” He asked confused. “You know she would say yes.. or are you worried she wouldn’t? I think going there after prom would be fun.”

I nodded. “Yeah but she deserves special. I want that night about her prom and only I want our engagement only about that plus I want to ask your dad permission first and I want her to start school you know.”

“Good luck getting dads permission.” He laughed “I’d be more worried about mum, she’s worse at times.” He shuddered, sitting up. “Well since prom is tomorrow, what time are you swimming by to pick her up?”

I smiled. “Well I want to take her out to a nice meal before and then head to prom.” I bity lip. “Ummm what is prom actually like? I didn’t go to mine and I don’t know what to expect really.”

He grinned “there’s a lot of dancing, and cheesy shit.” He laughed. “Mainly dancing and they crown someone prom king and queen..-“ he heard his parents car and smirked “this will be interesting.”

I sighed and took in a deep breath. Hoping lily would come down soon. “Why should this be good? I’m not asking them yet Tom?”

“Have you seen how much Lily’s dress cost? Dad will flip the fuck out when he finds out five grand if the total was just for shoes.” He laughed. “We used his bank card.”

I groaned.  “Why the hell would you do that?  She could have used mine.”  I was so worried nowas we entered the kitchen as her parents did.

I bit my lip nervously “Hmm I have a feeling they’re super mad and it might be the time for you to go, trust me, no one wants to be around when mum and dad flip out.” I said with a sigh.

I nodded and pulled her to me. “If that’s what you want then I’ll go, but call me later and let me know how you and your mum are she looked pretty upset Something is bothering her.” I kissed her an dnodded at Tom as I walked out.

“Ugh why the hell did I agree to go to prom! Look st the mess it’s caused already!” I cringed hearing some door slam harder “Jesus Christ. This is why I wasn’t going to go in the first place.”

I was standing there on my way out shocked.  “Sir I didn’t, well I did ask lily but that was when I came to after my issues, when I plan to ask her the right way I plan to come to you and your wife.  I’m sorry for the confusion, I’m not trying to take your daughter away, all I want is to love her support her, the same way you do for Charlotte.  I honor how you both are together.”  I looked at lily.  “I don’t want to come between you and your family lily I love you and one day I will ask you but I think we need to get things started with school I want to see you accomplish all your goals. I will be here tomorrow at 6:30 to pick you up go spend time with your mum and apologize for my part in her hurt.”  I walked over kissed her and nodded again at Tom, he looked at me like I was nuts he was probably wondering why I didn’t tell his father that it was Tina doing as much as mine.  But I couldn’t I didn’t want Charlotte hurting more because he had a part in this.

I lid on my bed and grabbed my phone texting Gunnar -guess this is a sign we should go to prom. I’m sorry.-
