Old life... New love..

He lives a sheltered routine life, used to order and schedule. That’s how it’s been since his wife passed. Before she died, they had the same routine and structure. Sex was for pregnancy and straight forward. His children, well mannered and reaching their early teens. 

She’s free spirited and clumsy. Travelling the world one month at a time. Her parents died and left her a trust fund for her to experience life at its best. She knows no schedule, and enjoys living. 

A job takes her to a small town, where she is to take photos of the beauty she finds. Renting a small house next to a large property. She goes over to introduce herself and finds the man less than pleasant.. but it doesn’t bother her and she soon finds herself annoying him for help each day.

How can he let someone new in his life when he had lost his only one. Everything she does, says, wears.. he compares it to her and when they become something more, he finds himself still saying she’s doing things wrongly.. can he let go of his past, and become something more with the future? and when he discovers old diaries in the attic that details a sordid affair with her ex boss, is it too late to see what he could have had.

I nodded.  “Yeah, I don’t want you to ever think you can’t talk about her.”  I really appreciated Tessa right now.  “Right now we have breakfast to eat and lunches to pack because I’d like to go to the waterfall and swim what do you say Kenzie?”  She nodded eagerly.

I was worried I may have over stepped and hoped to Christ I didn’t. I smiled and let them be as I made my way out to the kitchen, I set the table and they came out as I was dishing plates up. “So do you go swimming much at the waterfall? You know it’s on your land so I couldn’t use it as my tourist attraction. I’ll have to find somewhere else to recommend.”

I looked at her.  “Actually we don’t use it but I was um thinking about build a house back there.”  I said hoping she understood what I was saying.  “I was hoping the kids and you would um help me out when we go out there today to pick a spot. It’s kind of a special place to me.”

“Oh?” My heart raced, realising what he meant. “What about this house?” I asked then bit into some bacon. I groaned scaring them “oh my god!! This is amazing!”

I laughed.  “We can keep this house rent it or turn it into a business maybe for your photographs, my books.”  I winked.  She was cute.  “I have lots more bacon if you want more I can even make BLT’s for lunch.” The kids laughed.

“Oohhh sounds yummy.” I grinned. “I can’t believe I’m like crazy for meat. Strange.” Must be a pregnancy thing. I still wasn’t confident and being a mother and bringing a child into the world while we didn’t know each other

I smiled “maybe after the baby you’ll still like meat too?”  I cleaned up afterwards while the kids got ready I then got ready after putting our lunches and drinks together I grabbed my plans from my office and went to see everyone waited in the family room.  We all walked down to the waterfall.  I took my shirt off and stood there in my trunks “so this is what I’m thinking.”  I pulle dthe blue prints out and had them look.

“Umm I’m not looking at the plans while you’re looking like that.” I groaned pulling off my dress, I was just in a black strapless bikini as I took the plans “it’s a big house, when did you do these up?” It would be incredible when completed

I looked at her.  “Umm I started them and the book when you came to annoy me the first day, after you left.  I got to work.  Well I started the house after the waterfall morning.  I thought this would be the perfect place to start over.”  I looked out at the kids splashing around.  “What do you think?  You can change anything you want.”

“It looks perfect, just Umm give me a veggie garden and I’ll be happy.” I stepped closer taking his hand “I’m
Sorry about what I said last night, I thought you wouldn’t have acted the way you have about the pregnancy. I mean it’s a very big unexpected shock and I thought having an abortion would be best for us.”

I nodded.  “I just don’t think it is, please don’t do it.”  I turned and looked at her.  “Look at those kids out there, they are everything.  Your good with them, how you handled Kenzie what you said to her I was so proud and so happy you came in and talked to her.  She needed that.”  I looked over.  “I wouldn’t have known that but you It’s like you knew and it came naturally to you.”

“I guess I get where she’s coming from in a way, being worried about a new sibling and taking all the attention. Your kids have had you to their self for so long, amd now you’re dating someone else.” I wanted to move closer but didn’t. “I’m not going to make you choose,I understand your kids will always be number one and we don’t need to rush this.. us.”

I Looked at her and and then stepped closer. “Hey we are in this together and we can help one another you know. One step st a time we will get to know each other.”

“Just promise me, that if you don’t fall in love with me, or you decide this isn’t going to work then please be upfront and tell me. I need you to be happy also.” I looked over at the kids “and I meant what I said to Kenzie, I have no clue about babies. Just that they hurt like hell coming out.

I laughed.  “I promise and you make the same promise. Babies are a lot of work but are worth it.”  I put my arm around her.  “I’ll help every way I can and trust me it will come to you in time.”

“Easy for you to say, you’ve had 13 years practice.” I smiled. “So, I’ll be at the cottage until we’re rwady to live together? Will you come visit me during bedtime?”

I looked st her and then at the kids.  “I will.”  I say and Itnen I take her had.  “Let’s swim.”  As we got to the water I pulled her to me and then snuck behind the water fall I kissed her and smiled.

“Pity were not alone.” I kissed him back, leaning against the rock, running my hands up and down his stomach.

I growled “woman how do you do that?”  I asked and she smirked “It’s like you have this power of not just me but them too.” J kissed her.  “How do you do it?  How do you make me feel this much?”

“I’m not doing anything” I laughed shaking my head. “Just being myself that’s all.” I winked pulling him closer with my legs around his waist “You’re so sexy.”

“I thought I was old?”  I looked at her and smiled then frowned.  “Doe smy age brother you at all I mean I’m what 14 years older.”  I worried she was just trying to be nice.

“At first it does, but it anything I probably worry more than you think I’m too young. You’re old enough to be my father.” I laughed. “I don’t have an issue with your age, I like that you’re mature and have your shit together and won’t screw me around.”

I nodded.  I was glad she was honest.  “We should get back out there with the kids.  I think they deserve some fun.” I kissed her and I wrapped her legs and we swam back . I wen and picked up Kenzie and tossed her in the air and then did the same for the other boy my oldest just splashed me and we all laughed.

I watched him having so much fun with his kids, the water warm and like a bath. Having a house so close to hear would be amazing. Then the boys decided to try and get me, chasing after me in the water and giggling as they jumped on my back “ahh help the sea monster has got me.” I laughed

I looked over laughing at them it was beautiful.  “What do you think Kenzie should we help or attack?”  She looked at me and smiled.  “I’ll help Daddy is girls need to stick together and not let you boys think your the best!”  She swam of to help and I shook my head swimming to help the boys.
