I looked at my watch.  “Oh god I have been slacking and I think they are noticing.”  I walked out and started to get dressed.  I looked at her.  “Are we okay?”  I didn’t do this and she obviously didn’t either so I didn’t know what she wanted or thought would happen.

“We’re fine, I’m still your annoying neighbour and you’re still the old grump.” I winked pulling my dress.

I laughed.  “Do you normally wear dresses with no undergarments?  Or such um how do I put this intimate yndergarments?”  I asked as we started to walk back together.  I was itching to go write another chapter this scene was definitely going in.

“Not usually. I mean my undergarments are mostly like the ones you saw the other morning but I knew I was going swimming so I didn’t wear any this morning and I didn’t expect you to be out here also.” I nudged him in the side “Were your books based on your wife?” I asked out of the blue.

I looked at her.  Sighing.  “No, I based them on my parents love pretty much.  When I met marry she said my writng was good but to raunchy for her.  So I changed things.” I looked up.  “To be honest I don’t want to talk about her, she is a touchy subject right now.”  That and we just had sex and now she asked me this.

“Sorry.” I winced realising she was a touchy subject. “Well It’s nice that your parents had such a lovely marriage.” I needed to get off the subject of marriage, as we approached the house I smiled. “Anyway, you shouldn’t slack off, your kids obviously like your routine and military structure, I’ll do my best not to annoy you, thanks Umm, for the fun.” I winked and walked away

I watched her walk away.  “Strange strange woman I swear.”  I walked in and made breakfast got the kids up and went to working.  I had so many ideas going on in my mind I loved it.  It was like that for a few weeks I realized I haven’t seen Tessa much and she would be leaving all to soon.  I did approach my wife’s boyfriend and I told him I knew what they did.  He tried to deny it I told him I don’t care as long as my kids never hear of it.

I was starting to dread leaving, which was strange for me. The kids visited most days and I had grown attached to them. I had made an album for Greg of his kids and of him when he wasn’t paying attention to me taking photos, a nice memory book that they can go through. So on my last week, I walked over with the album and then a photo framed of him and I under the waterfall, our faces unnoticed as we stood embraced. It was the most incredible and beautifully erotic photo I’ve taken. “Hey is your dad home?” I asked walking inside like usual “I’m Leaving in the morning and have a present for you guys.”

Hours passed and the kids had forgotten about the gifts until it was bed time “Oh Tessa was here before. She brought us presents. I sat them on your bed, she’s leaving in the morning and wanted to say goodbye but you was working so she left”.

I looked up.  “What? When? Why didn’t you come tell me she was here?” I sighed and got up I went to my room and saw the wrapped present in my bed when I unwrapped it I was shocked at how beautiful the photo was.  I read her little note and smiled placing the photo on the bedside table.  I saw the hard drive and took it to my office.  Sitting and opening the files I was shocked at how many photos she took of us, of me!  Then I noticed the private folder and clicked on it.  I was hard within seconds looking at us in the water obviously to the camera.  It was just how I written it.  I adjusted myself and got up . I had to go over there. “Kids I’ll be back get to bed okay!”  I was out the door before they could answer.  Going to the cottage and knocking over and over I didn’t see her stupid van and worried she had already left.

I walked out from the bedroom, half asleep with tussled hair and a sleep shirt on. “Hold on!” I groaned, unlocking the door and startled to see him. “Greg? What’s wrong? Is everything ok? Or are you mad that I was in the house again without asking.” I grinned.

I looked at her and then grabbed her and kissed her, not caring she was leaving and I wanted one last time with her.  I wouldn’t see her ever again she was to much of a free spirit.  I walked us back till we were in her room where I took her shirt off and laid her down I undressed without a word and got on top of her.  We had sex for a while till she was passed out and I was soon after.  I woke to a empty bed and Tessa nowhere in sight. Her things gone and her with them.  I got up and dressed and went home before the kids got up.  I thought about that night for weeks.

I stretched out in the hammock placing the book down on my belly, I’ve re read it so many times just to grasp at something to do with him. No calls or messages but I didn’t expect him to. My next destination was up to me, and I found myself driving back to the small town and down the same familiar road to his house. It would have been almost dinner time, so I had picked up some fresh ingredients and made my way to the house. The oldest boy walked over.  “Hey Tessa what are you doing back?  Miss us?”  He smiled and walked over to hug her.  “Dad is here he is talking to his editor right now about his new book.  He hasn’t stopped writing since you came over for dinner and you two you know!” He smiled.  “Yeah I know what y’all did but don’t worry my dad doesn’t know I know.”

I blushed hard “Umm, we didn’t do anything.” Oh god how the heck did he even know that. “Well, how about I make you something to eat while dad is busy, I’m making nachos.” 

“What’s nachos?” Kenzie asked with a frown. “I’ve never eaten them. Are they nice?” 

I grinned “oh they’re so delicious, and you eat them with fingers not cutlery. So anyway, I’m making dinner and we’re all going to sit and eat it.”

I was happy the editor said this was my best book I wanted so bad to send it to Tessa it was decaited to her but I wanted to wait and get a hard copy first. On my way home I thought about texting her calling her but I didn’t know what to say she just up and left that morning without a goodbye.  Sighing I went inside and it was oddly quiet.  I walked into the kitchen and was going to put my leftovers inside the fridge but there was no room and it wasn’t how I left it at all.  “Kids!@. I called out nothing I walked out back and saw them sitting there with oh my god.  “Tessa!”

“So I’ve come back for a visit, turns out I may have missed the kids a little bit and well, you too.” I smiled. “Dinner is done, yes it’s healthy, yes it’s vegan, and yes you’re going to sit and eat it without complaining because your kids are eager eat them.” 

“Oh my god dad we eat with our fingers!! Holy crap, like corn chips and melted cheese that’s not cheese but tastes like cheese!” She jumped up and down. 

I laughed, making my way to him “I hope it’s ok I’m here, I have some free time and I couldn’t think of anywhere else to go.”

I smiled.  “How lon will you be here?  I have a surprise for you, but it won’t be completely done for a week.”  I hugged her.  “I don’t know about the healthy food but I’ll try it.”

“I’m here for a couple weeks, I am technically working but I’m going to be around to annoy you I’m sure.” I eyed him up and down, biting my lip. “If you don’t like this, I’ll make you steak.”
