Once upon a blizzard

One night during the start of a blizzard like storm a woman and her children (one boy and one girl) were traveling to get away from her ex. She had no choice she needed to get away. Her ex wa as abusive drunk who thought he owned her. She drove into a small town and was almost to where she wanted to be when out of no where she hit a deer. Sitting there in the cold not knowing what to do she looked at her phone seeing she only had a little battery left she called for help. The dispatcher said she was lucky that the fire station was close by. A little while later there was a knock on her door. She looked and was stunned by the handsome guy standing there asking if she was okay.

It was late and the snow was coming g down hard when we got a call about a woman and two children stuck on the side of the road. I was pissed that anyone let alone someone with children would be out in this mess. As we got to the scene I knocked on the window Dow and asked the lady if she was okay. She had a light bruise on her cheek possibly from the hit. Her car wasn’t on so those kids were probably cold we needed to get them to the station now.

I nodded.  “Thank you that means a lot to me specially coming from you.”  I kissed her softly.  “We should rest.”  I was happy she thought that.  We laid down and I held her we talked a little and soon she was sleeping softly.  I kissed her and got up to check the kids I needed to get the security system put in soon.  Maybe tomorrow.

With him beside me I slept so solid and safely that I didn’t wake until the morning. “So What are you doing on your days off? We could take the kids to the beach, or go to the zoo today if you’re not too busy?”

“Well I promised a certain buddy of mine to play ball today but I Maybe able to talk him into the beach or zoo let me check.”  Smiling at her confused face I laughed.  “Hey Reid buddy I have a question for you!”

I just grinned at him. “Oh well ok then you two discuss and I’m going to shower and get ready, apparently my boyfriend thinks I’ve let myself go lately.” I winked

I smiled.  “Just a little babe your still beautiful regardless.”  I laughed and looked at Reid.  “So ball, zoo or beach my man?  We can play ball any day!”

“The zoo!” He grinned fist bumping him. “And then we can play ball tomorrow! Coz I really want to see the animals.”

I nodded.  “Me too!  Maybe we can talk you me Mum into getting a puppy too!”  I winked really wanting to get them a puppy.  Every kid deserved a puppy.

“We used to have a cat.. and one day we were naughty so daddy drowned it in the bath with us.” He said quietly. “I’ll tell Luca not to be bad.”

I shook my head.  “I don’t think you or Luca could be bad.  And you shouldn’t have to worry about that.  Having a animal is suppose to be a good thing someone to cuddle and love when your scared or just want a friend we shouldn’t hurt them just like we shouldn’t hurt other people.” I hated there Dad.  “What your dad did was wrong on so many levels and my dad wasn’t very nice either,  he hurt my brother so bad in front of me, I promise I won’t hurt you or Luca like that.”

“Good. We wish you were our dad.” He said and hugged him tightly. “I’m going to get ready for the zoo!” He ran off excitedly to tell his sister.

I sat there for a while then got up to get ready.  “Hey babe.” I said getting into the shower with her.  “Can we get the kids a puppy or two?”  I kisse her neck and ran my hands over her belly wishing she was still pregnant.

“A puppy? Umm we can look at them, and see if there’s any to buy.” I smiled gazing down at his hand on my stomach. “One day, it’ll happen one day.”

I smiled and kissed her.  “I love you and Reid is supper excited about the zoo so we should hurry up.”  We finished and got dressed.  As I helped loaded the truck I watched as luca sang and annoyed her brother it was adorable really even Reid would smirk every once and a while.

“I love you” I smiled coming up beside him as we walked around. “I want to ride you so damn hard when you’re home.” I added grabbing his bum when I walked past to follow luca

I smiled, she was something else.  Reid and I watched the girls light up at the zoo over all the animals.  As we weee all standing and looking at the monkeys a lady came by and smiled.  “Oh what a lovely family you have would you like a photo to capture this moment?”  I smiled and looked at Jane, “Please!”

I stood by him, smiling as we had a photo taken together. “Guess it looks like mum and dad taking the kids out.” I laughed, reaching for his hand. “Icecream?”

I smiled.  “That’s because that is what it is not looks like.”  I kissed her head.  “Yes let’s get ice cream!” I picked Luca up and tickled her.  We walked to the ice cream shop and I ordered the kids already knowing what they would want and then ordered mine and janes.

The kids whispering, all excited and eager to eat their treat. I watched him, unable to take my eyes off his ass.  He came back with all our favourite flavours and I couldn’t believe it. “You should stay tonight, and invite your mum for lunch tomorrow?”

I smiled.  “Sounds good to me, what about you two messy faces!”  Good lord I just gave them theirs and they had ice cream all over already.  I grabbed janes hand and ate mine watching her eat was a mistake as I was now hard.

“What are you looking like that for?” I asked then raised a brow “I know that look, you’re terrible.” I laughed squeezing his hand. “So tell me about work, any fires? Rescue any kittens from trees?”

I shook my head.  “It’s your fault, and no kittens we did put out a abandon house fire, we are looking into it we think it was arsenal.”  I hated things like that it put me in edge that someone out there was purposely setting fires.

“That’s scary, I’m still waiting for you to come home wearing your uniform.” I didn’t realise I called the house home for us all. “Maybe next time.” I winked leaning in to kiss him.

I laughed.  “Well normally we leave those at the station babe.”  I leaned in and kissed the side of her mouth where she had some ice cream.  “Mmmm so good!”

“Ewww.” Reid scrunched his nose. “Gross.” 

I laughed “maybe I’ll light a fire in the kitchen and need a house call then.”

“Don’t you dare even joke like that, we will just get a cat and you can get it stuck and request me to get it out!”  I smiled and looked at Reid and winked.  I really hope he knew I wasn’t going to hurt him.
