Once upon a blizzard

One night during the start of a blizzard like storm a woman and her children (one boy and one girl) were traveling to get away from her ex. She had no choice she needed to get away. Her ex wa as abusive drunk who thought he owned her. She drove into a small town and was almost to where she wanted to be when out of no where she hit a deer. Sitting there in the cold not knowing what to do she looked at her phone seeing she only had a little battery left she called for help. The dispatcher said she was lucky that the fire station was close by. A little while later there was a knock on her door. She looked and was stunned by the handsome guy standing there asking if she was okay.

It was late and the snow was coming g down hard when we got a call about a woman and two children stuck on the side of the road. I was pissed that anyone let alone someone with children would be out in this mess. As we got to the scene I knocked on the window Dow and asked the lady if she was okay. She had a light bruise on her cheek possibly from the hit. Her car wasn’t on so those kids were probably cold we needed to get them to the station now.

I smirked.  “Good cause I love your kids and I really love your body.”  I started to move faster.  “Because I love you.”  I leaned down and kissed her.

“I love you, too.” I moaned, wrapping my legs around him tighter. We made love until I lost track of time, the last thing I remember is curling up against his chest and closing my eyes to drift off

I couldn’t leave I held her tight and dozed off.  My phone was set so I wouldn’t worry about anything.  I had a lot to get done before going in tonight.  I didn’t want to though I wanted to be here with her.

I smiled feeling him still with me “mm you haven’t left.” I pointed out, snuggling more into the warmth of him. “I dreamt I was pregnant and you delivered the baby.” I laughed “it was crazy.”

I froze.  “Um yeah crazy.”  I thought back to what tony said and I wondered if she for sure couldn’t get pregnant we have never used anything so if there was a chance then it was even more of a chance.  Shit.

Well I could tell he was freaked out. I brushed it off with a yawn and rolled over, “Don’t sleep past your alarm, you can’t miss work.” Well this was going from good to worse.

I sat up.  “Where are you going?”  I felt like I just upset her and I didn’t like it. Getting up in a hurry I pulled her to me.  “Baby, I don’t care if you can’t give me a child you know that right?  I’m happy with you and your two that maybe if you or them let me I could adopt them.”

“It’s not that Bo, I just worry about the future and you’re incredible for saying that.” He truly was. I just didn’t know what he would say if I had pregnant. I needed a test fast. “

I looked at her.  “Can I ask you something and you not get mad?”  She hesitated then nodded.  “Is there any possible chance you could still fall pregnant?  I’m only asking because we have never used anything.”

“The doctors told me no. I mean they done tests and scans and said it was physically impossible for me to fall pregnant.” I said quietly, I was sure he could hear my heart beating fast. “But, I’ve been feeling sick when I wake and my period is late.”

I pulled back.  “So there is a small chance?”  I asked looking at her.  It scared the shit out of me.  I wasn’t mad it’s just I wish I would have worn something.  Just to give us more time.  “Maybe you should get into the doctor, I’ll go with you.”

“No, please. I’ll make an appointment, Umm but you shouldn’t come with me. I’ll ask your mum to watch the kids. It’s probably nothing.” It could be menapause even.

I looked at her.  “Jane baby, I would like to go but if you don’t want me there then I understand but I would like you to call me once you know something please.”  It hurt that she didn’t want me there.  I looked at the clock.  “I got to get going and get some things done please promise me you’ll get into the doctors. I’ll call you later okay.”  I kissed her.  “I love you Jane regardless.”

I smiled, tearing up as I waved him goodbye. “I’ll talk to you later.” I rolled over and laid back down, snuggling beneath the covered with myself. I wondered if I could be pregnant but doubted it. I mean I’ve felt ok today. I sighed and laid there in a panic, what if he turned out like his father.

I thought about it all day long wondering if she was in fact pregnant.  I didn’t tell tony but he could tell something was up.  It was getting later and I was about to head to the station and wanted to talk to her.  I called .” Hey baby how you feeling.”

“Hey I’m good, just on the way to the doctors. Your mum is watching the kids for me.” I bit my lip. “How’s work? I miss you.”

I smiled.  “I’m just getting ready to head in. Will you call or stop in and let me know what they say?”  I was shaking at the possibility.  I just wanted to know.

“I can call in if you life.” I mean I’d rather say it face to face. “Just message me if you get called out, and umm, just please don’t mention it to Tony. It could just be nothing.”

I smiled.  “I wouldn’t mention anything to him.  Don’t worry okay I’m here for you, I’d like you to stop by so if I get called out I’ll let you know.”  I paused for s second.  “Love you.”  I said before hanging up.  As I got to the station I just kept thinking how long does a appointment like this take, what was being said.”  I hit the gym and just went hard.

I stopped by the diner that was open late and grabbed a box of donuts and come coffee for us both. I had cried in the car bit was terrified oh how he would take this. I walked in, being told he was in the room resting. I walked in to see him on the bed alone. “So hope you’re hungry.” I grinned walking towards him.

I smiled seeing her.  “Hey always.”  I pulled her to me.  “You didn’t tend to bring me doughnuts and coffee just you.”  We sat there and ate a little not saying anything.  I waited I didn’t want her uncomfortable so I would wait till she told me.

“I’m not pregnant.” I said quietly after awhile. i heard him take out a breath and I then looked up feeling sick to my stomach “I was pregnant, and I miscarried. I have to go in and be cleaned out.”

I looked at her confused.  “Wait, are you okay?”  She looked upset, hell I was upset. I pulle dher to me and held her.  “When I want to be there please let me be there. God I’m so sorry.” I didn’t realize that I actually wanted her to be even if I was scared.

“I feel awful. I didn’t think I could I swear.. I didn’t lie to you about it.” God he must hate me and think I tried to trap him. “I’m sorry.”

“Hey hey, shhh.”  I rubbed her back.  “I know you didn’t stop worrying about that, I’m worried about you. What do you mean that need to clean you out?”  I had no clue.  “Does this mean that if we decided to try later on we could?”  Shut I shouldn’t have asked that right now after finding out she lost our baby.
