Once upon a blizzard

One night during the start of a blizzard like storm a woman and her children (one boy and one girl) were traveling to get away from her ex. She had no choice she needed to get away. Her ex wa as abusive drunk who thought he owned her. She drove into a small town and was almost to where she wanted to be when out of no where she hit a deer. Sitting there in the cold not knowing what to do she looked at her phone seeing she only had a little battery left she called for help. The dispatcher said she was lucky that the fire station was close by. A little while later there was a knock on her door. She looked and was stunned by the handsome guy standing there asking if she was okay.

It was late and the snow was coming g down hard when we got a call about a woman and two children stuck on the side of the road. I was pissed that anyone let alone someone with children would be out in this mess. As we got to the scene I knocked on the window Dow and asked the lady if she was okay. She had a light bruise on her cheek possibly from the hit. Her car wasn’t on so those kids were probably cold we needed to get them to the station now.

I turned and looked at the guy. “She’s mine so stop looking!” I winked and took Reid out and followed her. “Slid time buddy!” I held his hand and he just kept looking up at me as we were walking. “No what did you mean when you said my mummy is yours?” Shit fuck damn! I said that in front of him. Think man think. “I just um met that I’m here to protect your mummy and you and Luca.” Yeah good thinking. “Oh okay I like that! I’m glad you are mummy seems much more happy with you around.”

We slid down laughing, splashing at the very end. It was great fun. Luca wanted to go again, so we did. Standing behind the boys. He hadnt noticed us being quiet and I took in his back, and how muscled he was. Slightly groaning. “Are you boys scared yet?

Laughing I turned and said. “I’ve put fire out in taller buildings than this? I’ve stood on the edge of buildings in heavy equipment! This is nothing!” I looked down at Reid and he smiled. “Yeah mummy bo is here to protect us and he will!” Shit! Now I’m going to have to explain that.

“Oh?” I looked at Bo, wondering what he meant but I guess it was just because he was a fireman. “Well Mr muscles, go ahead and slide down. I’m sure your stomach drops at a certain part.” Bevause mine sure did

I smirked. “Ready buddy!” He nodded and we got in and off we went but not before I turned and winked. She was right your stomach does drop at one spot but it’s that awesome feeling. We had so much fun we went again and angina. Laughing more every time. Around dinner time I smiled as Jane went to use the restroom I talked the kids into going back up to the room and getting dressed in nice clothes to take their mummy out to a fancy dinner. I wanted her to feel wanted and appreciated it was our thanks for bringing us here. We waited for her with smiles and then walked up to the room. “Kids and I wa t to say thanks so when we get to the room and showered we are taking you out to dinner.”

“Really? But I don’t have any nice clothes to wear out.” I was called plain Jane for a reason. “Umm, it sounds lovely though.” I smiled as the kids looked happy. I didn’t know what to do, I just instead said “well I guess I could go find a dress to wear at the store in the hotel.”

I smiled “nah you get in the shower and leave it to me no need to worry your beautiful head about anything okay.” I helped her get the kids in the bath and then set them up with a snack and movie while she jumped in the shower I called down to the lobby and asked if they could bring a handful of dresses up. Once she was out of the shower I told her there was a surprise in the room for her.

I was confused but went along with it anyway, not wanting to disappoint the kids or him. It was sweet he wanted to take us out for dinner. Walking into the bedroom, I found a rack of dresses and was scared of his choices. What if wanted something sexy, young looking. I mean I was old. Practically a cougar. Flipping dress by dress, I came across a black one that seemed nice. Until I realised it was a two piece lace crop top and high waisted skirt. “What the hell.” I muttered and put it on, realising I’d need to wear a tiny thong with it. I dressed, finding a pair of heels to match and went to do my hair and makeup. Red lips and a high messed up pony tail that oozed sex. Well so the tutorial online said. I walked out and stood waiting for them to notice me

I turned and my jaw dropped. “Holy sh-smokes!” I looked her up and down. “I didn’t think you’d choose that one-“. I got up and walked over to her. “But I’m glad you did.” I looked at the kids. “Mummy looks beautiful doesn’t she.” Ducking hell she looked more than beautiful. “I think she is trying to kill me!” I laughed. “I’m kidding kids she is just so beautiful!”

“Why do you keep calling mummy beautiful? Do you love her?” Luca asked with a soft giggle. I eyed her “hey, don’t be rude. And I think you all look beautiful too.” I smiled. “I’m going to be mortified if we’re going to somewhere like chucke cheese.” I was nervous as it was looking like this, especially for him.

I smiled. “Don’t worry we aren’t going there.” I looked at Luca. “Look here my sweets I keep calling your mummy beautiful because she is just like you! Your both so beautiful.” I looked over at Reid and smiled. “And is guys are handsome not beautiful!” I winked. “Is everyone ready?” The kids jumped up and down. I picked up Luca and we started off to the horse and carriage. Yes I paid for everything already even her dresses. She gasped and the kids looked at her with excitement! “Your chariot awaits!

“You’re kidding me.” It was like a fairytale. “When did you have time to do all of this?” I couldn’t believe it. He had really gone all out on us. “I have always wanted to go on one of these.” I said sitting in, the kids were up the front excitedly looking at the horses

I smiled. “This morning I looked into it and while you were in the shower I got everything together.” I grabbed her hand. “You deserve it all of it. What you’ve been through and what you do for those two up there.” I was so wrong about her when I first met her. She loves those two so much she would do anything for them.

“Thankyou, I’m blown away by how fun this trip has actually been. I didn’t expect anything like this at all.” I leant in closer, my nose almost touching his as my words soft “I will kiss you for it when we’re back in the room.” I looked up at him, my heart racing.

I smiled. “You better!” I thought this would be good but it was better the kids are happy and Jane is relax. “I like seeing you like this, relaxed and happy!”

“I haven’t felt this relaxed in years.” I turned smiling ahead “I feel old and haggard most days, soon we’ll be home and back to real life. It all can’t be roses and sunshine.”

I sighed. “Sure it can if that’s what you want, Iran there will be hard times but life is what you make it too, your moving on and doing great!” I hated that she thought herself as old. “Why do you put yourself down like that? I mean your not old and your absolutely beautiful even in sweats and a T-shirt.”

“I feel old around you, you’re young and fit. You’ve got so much to look forward to. I love my kids but sometimes I wish I could have had them when I was ready, I wanted to travel and explore but it is what it is I guess.” I looked around realising this was going too deep. “So anyway, when we get back I’m going to find a house for us and the kids will go to school there. Your mum suggested it.”

I smiled. “That’s good, so you’ll be sticking around?” I was happy to hear that. “And your very fit yourself!” I nudged her thinking just how for she was. “I don’t think you know what you do to guys of all ages!”

I grinned “yes I’m sticking around, it’s a nice town and the kids seem to like it here. So you’ll have to put up with me, who knows I may start a fire to get your attention.”

I laughed. “If putting up with you is what I have to do then I so will! And you don’t have to start a fire to get my attention.” I brought her hand to my mouth and kissed it. We ended up slowing down. “Looks like we are here.”

I’m sure his attention will be on making up for lost time now he’s had his rocks off. “I can’t wait to go inside.” I said as he helped me down, and we walked up the pathway. “You have wonderful taste.”

I smiled. “Thank you.” We got to our table and the kids kept looking at the giant fish tank. “I had Help”. I say nodding to the kids. We ate and had a great dinner then people started to dance and Luca looked at me and I nodded. I turned to Jane. “Would you like to dance?”

“What?” I thought he was joking. “I don’t know. I’m not. Good dancer.” I had to get out of dancing, i would look ridiculous yo there with him. The old with the young and handsome. “Go on mummy. We want to watch you dancing.” Luca beamed. I sighed giving in “just one dance.”

I smiled and got up holding my hand out for her. “You seem nervous why? It’s just dancing.” I whispered walking to the floor. I noticed some of the men look at her and I smiled she was amazing and she didn’t even know it.
