Once upon a blizzard

One night during the start of a blizzard like storm a woman and her children (one boy and one girl) were traveling to get away from her ex. She had no choice she needed to get away. Her ex wa as abusive drunk who thought he owned her. She drove into a small town and was almost to where she wanted to be when out of no where she hit a deer. Sitting there in the cold not knowing what to do she looked at her phone seeing she only had a little battery left she called for help. The dispatcher said she was lucky that the fire station was close by. A little while later there was a knock on her door. She looked and was stunned by the handsome guy standing there asking if she was okay.

It was late and the snow was coming g down hard when we got a call about a woman and two children stuck on the side of the road. I was pissed that anyone let alone someone with children would be out in this mess. As we got to the scene I knocked on the window Dow and asked the lady if she was okay. She had a light bruise on her cheek possibly from the hit. Her car wasn’t on so those kids were probably cold we needed to get them to the station now.

I tried to move but couldn’t. I smelled something amazing and groaned. The next thing I knew Jane appeared and I had to catch my breath even in the morning she was beautiful. “Sorry Luca has a bad dream and ended up on the couch with me then Reid woke up panicking so I just came down here.” I said shyly not knowing how she would feel about that.

“It’s ok, I trust you with them. If I didn’t we wouldn’t be here.” I pointed out “but umm, if they bother you at all please say.” It worries that her dreams were coming back now that he father was in town. “I’ve made coffee, and my famous breakfast bagels which by the sounds of it Tony is devouring.” I half smiled, feeling slightly shy as i noticed he was bare chested and my eyes wandered. “I’ll bring your coffee in, so you can at least have that before it goes cold.” I rushed off.

I nodded “thanks”. I called out but didn’t want to wake the sleeping kiddos. I didn’t want tony coming in either to make it worse for me right now. Luca snuggled up and snored. I laughed it was cute then it hit she couldn’t have more children that was sad. What if I fell in love with her and wanted one of our own we wouldn’t be able too.

“Alright, I managed to get these before Tony ate them all.” I smiled walking in with his coffee and a plate with a couple of the bagels that were filled with bacon and egg. “I might quickly get dressed and ready before the kids wake. At least I can spend today going over this darn trip before we leave tomorrow.

Nodding and smiling “yeah go on and take your time they are in a deep sleep.” I took a sip of my coffee and groaned so good just the way I like it. Taking a bite of food and groaning louder. “Damn this is good.

“Fuck if you don’t shag her, I will just to keep being fed this way.” Tony appeared in the doorway with one in his hand, “so dad, how’d you sleep? Kids tire you out?”

I shook my head. “Tony seriously stop! It’s not funny. Be nice and respectful for once.” I groaned taking another bite. “But these are damn good.”

“It’s not funny because it’s true. You’re in bed with her kids, how do you think it looks to her? That you’re coming on this trip with them. A fucking family holiday man, look it’s not my place but I’m going to tell you what everyone at the station is thinking,” he sighed “if you go on this trip, it’s not just friends, it’s you making a loud gesture that you want her and the kids and I’ll move out so they can move in but she’s got baggage, pretty heavy baggage with that ex. I’m just not sure why you’ve ignored every other woman and now you’re playing house with Jane and her kids. So think long and hard, if you go on that trip, you’ll become the one thing you vowed to never be. Maybe you should tell her you couldn’t get time off work, don’t lead them on.” He got up and walked back to the kitchen.

I sighed really had to think this out. Once the kids woke up and tony left I pulled her aside. “Do you really think it’s a good idea for me to Umm go? I don’t want the kids getting the wrong idea.” God I felt like I was saying the wrong things. I didn’t want to upset her I just think we both need to think this out.

“What?” Oh my god. Well this was embarrassing. Clearly he wasn’t liking all their attention and I had overstepped “umm you know what, it’s ok. The kids and I will go, umm I actually spoke to he resort and they could fit us in today if we left soon so I’m going to do that with the kids.” I couldn’t believe it. I knew he would take this the wrong way and freak out. “Just to be clear.” I said starting to walk away “actually never mind, it doesn’t matter.”

I sighed then it hit me her car was in the shop I had it taken there after her tires got slaushed.  I walked after her and then stopped her by standing in front of her.  “First I’m sorry, I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me, I didn’t mean to hurt you.”looking into her eyes.  “But let’s be fucking honest here if I go what will your children think and also I don’t know why but there is something about you that’s is different from anyone else and it scares the fuck out of me.”  I said knowing I said to much but I needed her to know my reasons well some of them.  “Your car isn’t done and won’t be so you won’t be able to leave today, Let’s just really think about it all day and decide tonight if it is a good idea I go.”

“There’s nothing to think about. I asked you as a friend, the kids aren’t going to get the wrong idea unless you give them that idea.” I didn’t know what had changed but I knew he was right, there was something there but I wouldn’t allow myself to see what it was. “You’ve made it clear you think I’m clinging on and expecting a marriage proposal, is this why Tony keeps asking me about babies and marriage?” I shook my head with a roll of my eyes “wow, clearly you boys are immature still. It’s just a fun trip but you decide what you want to do. I’m leaving in the morning regardless.”

I sighed I fucked everything up all because I let tony get into my head. I stormed off into his room. “Why dude you have to say something and why do you have to get into my business! God you put all this in my head and I screwed up my friendship with her because of it you fucking idiot!” I yelled at him. I sat in his bed and put my head in my hands. “I asked her if it was a good idea that I go and it upset her then she said and I quote ‘there’s nothing to think about. I asked you as a friend.’ Ifucked uo because of you!” I yelled not caring if she heard.

“Well like she’s going to admit she wanted you to come as something more-“ tony was cut off by the door flying open. 

“I know we’re your guests in this house but I’m going to please ask you to not yell or swear. I have two terrified kids hiding under your bed because they’re used to a sperm doner of a father coming in after a night out on the town drunk and yelling the house down. And I know that’s my screwed up life and you shouldn’t have to worry about it but you insisted we stay here.” I narrowed my eyes on tony “I’m not interested in having sex or spending a family trip away with my legs in the air. Sex is the last thing on my mind, considering all I’ve been though I don’t want to even have sex because the last time I had that, I ended up in hospital with three broken ribs and being told I’ll never have anymore children so please just stop telling Bo I’m horny for him and Bo-“ I looked at him “my kids and I talk, i have told them that you’re a friend, that’s all I can handle right now. I’m not asking you to share a bed on the trip but i askednyou because the kids like you and i would like you there. If you don’t want to come then just say so. I have no expectations from you, because you made it very clear the first day we met that you will never ever be interested in me.” I turned and walked out to go comfort the kids. 

Tony groaned “shit you really pissed her off”.

I shook my head. “As did you with all your talk.” I got up and walked out going to my room I saw her bent over and damnit if my cock didn’t wake up. I shook my head and got down with her “Hey sweets and buddy I’m sorry I was yelling I didn’t mean to scare you, tony is just a big goof.” I sighed hating seeing them like this. “Come on out let’s convince your mum to let us go get ice cream!” I smiled when I saw Reid look at Jane for a yes. I looked over at her and mouth “I’m so sorry.”

“Icecream, tell Bo I want one with choc brownie pieces and sauce and I’ll agree to that.” I tickled Reid softly, as he stood up more. “Maybe cream and sprinkles too.” He looked st bo and smiled “mum loves icecream of you can’t tell. It used to be her favourite but we weren’t allowed to buy it.”

I groaned. “Well then we will need to eat lots of ice cream on our trip!” I winked at Reid and looked over at Jane. “Is it okay if I take them to get ice cream?” I didn’t want to over step I just needed to make it up to the kids. I felt bad for yelling but that proves I shouldn’t have a wife and kids.

Wait did that mean he was coming with us? I looked at him and then the kids “you promise me that you’ll be careful with them? Please just drive easy and don’t let them have too much, we do need to sleep tonight.”
I smiled softly as the kids came out. “You two be good for Bo please.”

I smiled and leaned in. “If you promise to kick tony ass for me then I’ll only give them enough and I’ll be extra careful!” I laughed and picked up Luca. “So I’ll make sure to get you some ice cream too.” I winked and took Reid’s hand. We left and I was having a good time with them we wouldn’t stay too long. I was worried and keeping my eye out for her ex the whole time.

I thought I may as well read a book while they were out, and sat down on his bed but couldn’t see any. I opened the bedside drawer assuming it was in there. Oh god big mistake. Obviously his alone time drawer as I closed it fast and then found it hard to stop picturing him doing anything else

Once done we went and got ice cream for Jane and as we walked into the house it was quite I wondered if she just decided to kill tony or what. I told the kids to clean up and walked into my room seeing her dazed and in my bed wasn’t what I needed. “Jane!” I called and nothing I kneeled down and looked at her. “Jane!” Fuck what happened. “Anna!”

“Umm.” I couldn’t look at him. “I wanted to read one of your books and thought they were in there.” I said quietly glancing to the drawer and back again “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to see those.”

I looked and then looked back at her and blushed hard. “Ummm well I mean, it’s Umm part of life. Being a virgin is a little lonely but it’s somwthing that I’m not ashamed of and when I get the urge I just Well you know use that.” I blushed more and cleared my throat “sorry about that I’ll get rid of it.” I looked up and smiled. “My hand gets boring sometimes!”

“Oh don’t be ridiculous, I’m not here for long so there’s no need to throw anything out. You might need it again I’m sure.” And then curiousity got the better of me “so how do you use it, I mean I’ve never seen one so I’m curious.”

I blushed more. “Umm well I live up and slid him in and out like I would a woman I guess.” I felt stupid and just didn’t know what else to do. So I just jumped up and said. “Ice cream Umm let’s get the kids to bed and eat some ice cream in the library.”
