Fake Fiancé

Christmas in New York is her favourite time of year.. or well it was, until her parents called to say they’re coming to stay for the holidays and can’t wait to finally meet her fiancé.. It usually wouldn’t have been a problem, but the major downside was that there’s no fiancé.. she’s as single as one can be. She’s got a great job, finally moved into her new apartment and enjoying life, as a single woman with a cat. The thought of having a man around, warmed her heart but none were interested in her. With her sisters upcoming wedding, she knew the pressure was on to settle down and the words I’m engaged were being blurted our after one too many drinks after endless nagging.

She had her eye on someone, and not just anyone.. her boss. Like that would ever happen. Emotionless and arrogant, he could be the perfect candidate.. Well, there was no harm in asking right?

I laughed. “I use to love it, but my brother ruined it for me for a while. But now that I have you and mini you in the way I want to enjoy it again with the two of you well and milo of course.” I looked at the menu. “Mmmm chicken fried steak sounds great.”

“What’s that?” I asked confused “is it a chicken in a steak?” I had no clue. “I’ll just have steak and fries with gravy.”

I laughed. “You can try mine I’m sure you’ll love it. It’s steak breaded and fried with gravy on top it’s so good.”

“Oh my god that sounds amazing. I want that instead.” I groaned, and mashed potato with a roll.” I couldn’t wait to try it “and a glass of coke.”

I smiled and order for us both. “So anywhere you absolutely want to go or see?” I wanted to show her the world but only had a week and a half.

“Just somewhere peaceful and relaxing. It doesn’t matter where we go, as long as we’re together.” I smiled as our order came over and I groaned “oh god yes.”

I laughed. “You sure you don’t want to be alone with the food?” I took a bite and it was so good. I missed this type of food.

“Maybe,” I winked “the food is really good and I’m loving this gravy.” I wondered if I was grossing him out, and put my fork down to just take a drink.

I smiled then frowned she just stopped eating real fast “Why did you stop?” I was worried something was wrong with our baby.

“No reason, just having a drink for the moment.” I shrugged. “Do we need to get anything for the RV? Groceries?” I wanted to change the subject.

I looked at her. “No I got all that.” I looked at her plate. “Is it not as good as before?” Mine was and it was almost gone. “It’s okay if you don’t like it we can get you something else?”

“Can you not just worry about me eating. I’ll eat it I’m just having a break.” I groaned softly picking my fork back up. “I’m getting full anyway.”

I was confused. “I’m sorry I just worry and want to make sure your getting enough. I won’t say another word.” I finished up and then looked around. Trying to figure her out.

“Do you see me stomach? Trust me I’m getting plenty.” I assured eating some more. “It’s really good. Well have to come back here.”

I smiled. “I do see you and beautiful little belly that’s holding our daughter and it’s the most beauitilest sight I’ve ever seen makes me want to keep you that way.” I winked really meaning it though.

“I only want one child.” I said holding a straight face to see how he would react to that. “I’m happy with just one.”

“Oh Umm yeah I never took in consideration what you would want.” I didn’t like it but I would love with it. “Maybe we can adopt?”

“What?” I looked at him and laughed “I just told you I only wanted one child and you’re asking me to adopt?”

I looked down. “I thought maybe you didn’t want to have more because you were afraid of the baby changing you but georgia I don’t care I love you for you.”

“I’m not afraid of the baby changing me.” That made no sense. “I’m just not sure if I want more than one, it’s not something I’m thinking about honestly.” I was too focused on this baby

I nodded. “Okay we will dicuss it more if you change your mind till then I won’t bring it up.” I hated it but I needed her happy.

“I mean maybe in a few years, but I don’t want to rush into another child.” Because I was terrified he would hate being a father and being the one thing he always made clear he never wanted. Being a family man.

I smiled. “Sounds perfect. Let’s just convention us and our little girl growing inside you now.” I leaned up and kissed her.

“If she ever asks, I don’t want to say she was made due to the ridiculous fake marriage we had to keep up with.” I half smiled “I still cannot believe we both were sober when we agreed to just have a kid.”

I smiled. “I know, I don’t want her to know that either we will tell her she was made with love.” I grabbed her hand holding in mine. I sighed wanting to make more babies with her out of love too.
