All grown up but still living at home. Willow followed her fathers footsteps and pursued a career of criminal law. Finishing law school, she was excited to spend more time with her high school sweetheart.. however, she finds a surprise that wasn't the diamond she had been hoping for.. deciding to move out and into her own apartment, vowing never to fall in love again, she wants to just have fun... and then she meets him.

Cocky, arrogant and on the opposite side of the court room, he's a real charmer when it comes to convincing a jury.. until he meets her.

It took hunter a few hours to see the text. He smiled -i just want to see you kicking my ass in nice shoes- he went to his next meeting a smile playing on his lips. His employees were all surprised to him smiling.

I rolled my eyes laughing and tried the shoes on, hey looked incredible. - like I said, enjoy kissing them when I kick your ass - I walked into my dads office testing them out. “You like? Aren’t they pretty!” I strutted around, handing him a file “Can you please go over this for me? It’s the house I like. I want to make an offer and I don’t know how to do that, so I thought the best lawyer in town would help me?”

[Demona]

“Humm yes pretty. When did you go shopping?” I took the folder from her and looked at it “sure i’ll take care of it”

Hunter walked back to his office and took out his phone texting Willow -lunch?-

“Thanks daddy.” I kissed his cheek, ignoring his other question. I couldn’t lie to my father and I didn’t want to start. “Umm maybe you could come and check it out with me after work? Mum can meet us there!” I got back to my desk, my phone lit up with a new text. My heart racing as I read it. - somewhere quiet and out of public - I couldn’t face the world of gossip when I’d received so many messages about my new single status.

[Demona]

-out of public? No problem. I’ll pick you up at 2- he finished his work and went out to pick her up. Parking the car in front of their law firm he texted to let her know he was there.

Could he have been anymore obvious. I was blushing as I walked to his car, keeping my head down. The last thing I needed was anyone seeing me getting in with the enemy. "I could have met you somewhere." I said quietly, pulling my belt on. "I only have an hour."

[Demona]

“So you don’t want to be seen with me?” I smirked driving away “ and here i thought you just wanted to be alone with me” i smiled cockily “anyway, i booked the rooftop at Louis, it’s going to be just us”

“It’s not that, I just don’t think two lawyers going against each other in court having lunch is a good look.” I kept my eyes ahead, ignoring my racing heart and fluttering stomach. “Or is this your idea of a business lunch to persuade me to settle?”

[Demona]

I smirked “i’m not settling love, you can count on it. I never lost a case and i’m not going to start now”. I parked the car and got out. The valet opened her door and we took the elevator. I leaned over the wall hands in pockets and looked at her “why are you single?”

[melbender]

“You don’t need to know that. I could be taken or married for all you know.” My nerves picked up, heart racing as I sighed “I caught my boyfriend of 6 years being ridden by my best friend yesterday morning. So Thats why I’m single.. why are you single?”

[Demona]

“That’s... 6 years and cheated? Why would anyone have a girlfriend like you and cheat on her! He’s an ass.” The elevator opened and we were welcomed and taken to our table. The whole floor was ours for lunch. Once settled i looked at her with a smile “i never said i was single. I’m not committed either, i don’t do relation ships.”

“Well I won’t be doing anymore relationships. They kindly told me they’d been screwing since we first dated.” I shrugged “it is what it is and trust me, I know you don’t do much.. except play around.” I rolled my eyes at the last part. “I’ll take a glass of red.”

[Demona]

I grinned “looks like my reputation preceeds me” i waved the waiter over and gave him our order. “I see women, sometimes on a daily basis, i’m not a manwhore. I just don’t want to commit. And the women i see know it, i’m straightforward about that, and they never said no so, how much of a player that makes me?”

[melbender]

“I’d rather not talk about your sexual antics when I’m about to eat. I have a busy afternoon ahead and need a clear head.” I grinned, looking down at the menu. “I’m starving. Choose something for me, whatever you think I’d like.”

[Demona]

I ordered our plates and leaned back sipping my wine “so why would your father give you his case? I was so wxcited to go up against him for once even if that would mean loosing”

[melbender]

I laughed shaking my head “my dad doesn’t see you as a threat. He wanted to dump the case off on someone else but after you acted like an ass I asked to take it on, I’ve only just graduated and need the practice.” I leant in, eyeing him “you entertain me with how easily it is to get underneath your skin. So I want to keep annoying you.”

[Demona]

“Oh i know i’m no threat to your dad.” I grinned “the guy is a genius i don’t deny that, i just like annoying him as much as you like annoying me.” I winked “oh Miss taylor you can annoy me as much as you want but that doesn’t mean you’ll win”

“Maybe not. I’m not stupid, I know the guy beat them but I have to defend him so that’s what I’ll do.” I picked up my glass and smelt the sweet scent. “So, did you enjoy stalking me last night? I take it you we’re on my Facebook account. Why didn’t you send a friend request? Afraid you’d be denied.”

[Demona]

“I’m never denied love. You’re here aren’t you?” I smirked “thank you” i said to the waiter as he put down our plates. “He beat them yes, and he raped someone. If that’s the kind of men you want to defend go ahead”

“Ideally no, but we all have to do things we hate.” I picked up my knife and fork “I’m here as a Thankyou for the shoes. You won’t be getting another lunch out of me anytime soon.” I rolled my eyes “and you may not be denied much, but I’m not like other women. I don’t give a shit if you’re the hottest man alive, I’m too busy.”

[Demona]

I smiled picking my fork and knife up as well to start eating. “Sure, have it your way” i took a bite and after swallowing i grinned “hottest man alive huh? You’re not bad yourself. Not really my type but gorgeous anyway” i teased her taking another bite

“Doesn’t surprise me.” I muttered, accidentally kicking his leg as I then just smiled “don’t worry, You’re not my type either.”

[Demona]

“Uhu i can tell” .

We finished eating and went to the elevator to leave “where should i drop you so you’re not seen with me?” I asked as we got in and the elevator closed.

“I’m a big girl, just where you picked me up from-“ I glanced at my watch and realised the time. “Shoot- actually I’ll call a car instead. I have to be somewhere out of town and you’ve distracted me.”

[Demona]

“Have i?” I got closer to her towering over her as i stopped the elevator “you said no more kissing...but” i leaned down and kissed her after pushing her to the wall.
