“I don’t blame you. The boys are resting, they’re told to help Nate at the pack or don’t shift again. They’re not going back. I can’t believe my dad and Jason could do this, they saw how upset we’ve been with them gone.” I groaned pulling him in closely. “But I must admit, seeing you that angry just made me really turned on.”

I chuckled "wait till you see how badly I'm going to punch your dad and mine" i leaned in and kissed her gently "we better go to our bedroom, we're not alone anymore"

“Punch him? Mason you wouldn’t?” I asked surprised “damn it, and here I was hoping you’d bend me over the couch and fuck me.” I joked

"Oh I would, I actually would do more than that if he wasn't your dad. What shocked me was my dad being involved in it. They were both agaibst me when I worked undercover for the CIA and now they are using our kids to expand their powers. How fucked up is that?"

“Just talk to him and ask what he was thinking, maybe it was all some misunderstanding?” I hoped anyway. “But this weekend, I’ve got the spell.. let’s go away for a night and do it.”

"I don't think talk to him will cut it Lily. I've been talking none stop for the past years and he never listens"

“Ok then, just make sure nothing is done during the actual lunch. I want the food eaten not thrown.” I went into the kitchen and grabbed a large wine glass and bottle of wine. “If we’re having family dinner then I need this.”

"I so too! But could you add my private herbs in it so it actually affects my brain?" I chuckled " I promise not to ruin dinner for you"

I laughed “herbs? Is that what you’re still calling it.” I leant in to kiss him when I tensed “my parents are here.. I’m actually really nervous.”

"Don't be. I'll be a gentleman i promise" i opened the door and hugged Ally ignoring Steven. "It's nice seeing you as always" i let them in "we have a surprise for you" i said and on cue the boys came jogging sown the stairs.

I waited for my dad to show some kind of emotion with being caught off guard but there was nothing at all from him. I sighed and watched the kid’s greet them happily, and downed my glass, pouring another. “Willow end Hunter will be here soon.” I smiled

"We're here" hunter said walking in with Ryder in his arms. "Hello family, my mom didn't come with us since we have guests." I gave Ryder to lily who was very happy to see him.

Steven frowned upon seeing Ryder. He walked toward him and placed his hand on his forehead "this kid is a strong pup"

Mason took Ryder from Lily and glared at Steven "is dinner ready baby?"

“Kid? He’s a baby grandpa.. which brings me to tell you that we’re having another one.” I smiled hugging him hello.

“Do you remember that time we snuck off during dinner and left for a weekend? Cant we just do that again?” Lily whispered in masons ear and kissed his cheek. She was worried about how everything was going to go down.

"Oh that's great! Congratulations then" i hugged her back "I'm happy for you."

"We can't, since you're hosting the dinner this time" mason chuckled wrapping an arm around her waist. "Where's Jason?"

“He’s coming.” I said, “my dad would have no doubt let him know by now that the boys are home.” I leaned against him and smiled “I’m glad they’re home, but you are right, they’ll be staying at the pack house and helping Nate.”

“Aww but we want to live with you.” Jake teased “please dad, don’t make us go there.. Nate is strict, he won’t let us do anything fun.”

Mason laughed "is he? I know he's got a soft spot for you Jake so stop whining "

When jason came we all sat around the dinner table.

Dinner was uncomfortably silent, which was making things a whole lot worse.

Nate smirked “so knocked my sister up again, he’s not even one..”

“What’s your point? Ryder needs siblings” willow shrugged “not my fault my husband can’t keep his hands off me.”

“Just wondering how he’s going to manage running a pack, being a lawyer and raising a family with a needy wife that’s all.” He winked

Hunter looked at Nate and smirked "she is needy sometimes yes you're right" he chuckled "I'll put my career on hold for a few years. My pack needs me right now that's what matters. And Cane is far from ready to take over"

"Nate maybe you shouldn't speak of such things in front of me eh alpha?" Mason glared at him.

“Sorry dad.” Nate bowed his head “sorry Hunter, I meant no disrespect.”

I rubbed hunters thigh and smiled, whispering “my sexy alpha.. wait till you get home!”

Lily cleared her throat “willow, no matter how low you whisper, everybody can still here you.”

Ally laughed “oh she’s in love, let her be. Mason, how does it feel hanging up the Alpha title? Steven could take some pointers on retiring from his pack.”

"It feels good actually, at least I can spend more time with my wife. And now that the boys are back, they'll be posted in the pack with Nate. And help him so they don't really need me. You should try it Steven, you're too old for running the pack. Maybe Noah should take over."

I reached over and squeezed masons hand, “it will be good having you home a lot more, and to just relax a little.” Lily smiled.

Nate raised a brow “wait they’re back for good? I thought they were leaving Friday?” He looked at Steven confused “umm well anyway, they’re back then they can definitely help with the pack and land.”

Mason's smile faded and he mind linked to Nate "you fucking knew they were on mission? You're in big trouble Alpha!"

Hunter felt the tension, he got up and brought Ryder to the table looking at Mason "i think your grandson looks just like you Mason"

“Hes got his curls, don’t cut them off.” Lily smiled wondering what was going on and why the air felt colder.

“we had orders from someone higher ranked” Nate said back through his mind. “We was just doing what was told of us! Calm down.” He then realised his mistake and groaned.

Mason got up and banged his palms on the table glaring at Nate "higher in Rank? And how is that? Is he fucking part if your pack? Huh? Is he? He doesn't give a shit about what happens in our pack and you should have seen this whenever we brought up pack business! He can't be higher in rank than you! In his pack he is, in yours you are!" Mason looked at lily "I'm sorry" he turned to Steven and Jason "you two have no fucking right in sending my boys without my consent to secret missions that don't even concern our packs! We made an alliance just for the sake of this family but if you two dare to use my kids again I'll forget about that alliance! You can't imagine how much it pained lily and I to know you were behind their constant traveling! I've had enough of your fucking meddling with my sons life Steven!"

“You’re not alpha anymore Mason, you handed that over to Nate.” Jason cleared his throat “I’m sorry, we had to do this. We needed to find out what was going on so we can out smart them..” he sighed “six more months and I promise they’ll be back home again and we won’t need them travelling.”

“Hunter should we leave?” I asked quietly, feeling uncomfortable and glared at Nate to do something.

“I mean it’s six months.. i guess they could-“ Nate stopped talking immediately and sighed “well Who the fuck do I listen to then?”
