Your dads best friend is definitely not the type of man you should be attracted to, or even think about. But when he's only 35 and single, not to mention completely hot, it's hard not to let your eyes wander.. my parents had me when they were young, a accidental teen pregnancy.

I came back from college for mid term break.. not being home for 3 years. And in that time, my body developed and I went from being the curly chubby haired geek to the total opposite. I mean, my parents hardly recognised me. So imagine when I go out with my old friends and meet a total babe, we hit it off instantly and soon ended up back in his bed.. unbeknown to both of us that we were going to be having a family dinner together Sunday night with my parents!!

“I’m going to miss you too.” My feelings had grown so strong and we really clicked together. This was hard. “I don’t want to call you Uncle ever again. We can be us, but we’d be restricted to my dorm, people talk.” I wrapped my arms around his neck “Thankyou, for showing me so much.”

I smiled, I’ll visit when and if I can, I took two weeks off so I have a lot to make up for. But I’ll text and call every night.” I didn’t want her to go at all. “You better get going or you will be stuck in traffic and I better Hearn Fromm you when you get there.”

“I’ll text you when I get there tonight” it was a five hour drive. “Don’t replace my side of the bed just yet” I managed a smile, kissing him one last time “

“I’ll never replace it you are my girl, the only one aloud here in my bed.” I meant it I didn’t want anyone else she ruined me. “But I want you to try and live your life for me okay.” I kissed her. “I’ll be here if you want me.”

The next for weeks were hard I texted her every chance I got. Work consumed me on a whole new level I still went to her parents for dinner every once and a while but I kind of felt uncomfortable with that so slowly I stopped going. I still talked to them but not as much.

I had to sit an exam and I wasn’t feeling the best. I’d hoped to have seen Kash again but nothing except texts and phone calls when we could chat. My head throbbed and stomach felt queasy. Next thing I knew I was feeling dizzy and passing out.

Karen rushed out in panic mode during dinner “Abigail is in hospital.” She interrupted their conversation. “I need to go down there and be with her..”

Her dad frowned “what happened is she alright?”

She shook her head “she collapsed during an exam. She’s pregnant and didn’t know.”

“Pregnant?!” He looked surprised “there must be a mistake. She’s not that stupid.”

The one fucking night I choose to go to dinner. The one fucking night! I looked at her Dad. “We should all go you both shouldn’t be driving I’ll drive.” I said getting up hoping that it didn’t sound odd that I wanted to be there. They must not have cared and we all got in the car and left. Once we got there they ran off and I parked trying to gather my thoughts.

My parents were more than furious at me. My dad demanded to know who the guy was and I said someone from class that I’d been seeing. He would have put Kash in here if he knew the truth. I couldn’t have a baby though. My parents calmed down and left to get coffee while I stayed in bed and tried to rest. I was in shock, that I could be pregnant. I heard the door creak open and my heart raced “I’m not keeping it.” Was all i could day

I looked at her. “I-I understand.” I didn’t walk in or get close. “I really fucked up didn’t I.” I looked down. “I wish we were in a different place I do wish we could keep our baby.” It hurt me so much. “I love you abi.” I then turned and walked away. My heart broke into a million pieces as i watched him walk away.

Karen sat down beside Kash, handing him a coffee. “Abigail is a smart girl, but she’s 19 and has a dream. She’s going to be a lawyer, and has studied so hard to get there.” She kept her eyes ahead on the park “nobody can be mad at her when it’s the right thing to do. She’s about to graduate in a few months and then she’ll start an internship in New York. A baby would take away her dreams Kash.. she’s doing the right thing.”

I looked at Karen sighing heavily, “I know Karen I know it just really hurts.” I couldn’t tell her the real reasons it hurt so damn much. “She has so much going for her she shouldn’t have to be making a hard decision like this.” I got up “I’m going to get a rental you guys stay and be with her, tell her I’m so sorry.” I said handing my keys to her. I walked off before she could say another word. I got to a diner and sat down calling a rental place that would bring me the car. I then sent a text to Abigail. -I’m so sorry beautiful I can’t be there for you, not the way you want not with this, I understand your reasons for not going through the pregnancy I do but it hurts to much to know our child will never be. I’m so sorry, I love Always. I need time- I reread it so many times before pushing send. I held my breath not expecting a text back she probably hates me and rightfully so.

I stared at the little heartbeat on the screen and I knew then, I wasn’t going through with an abortion. I couldn’t. I forgot about the text until almost a couple hours later. He was mad and hated me, which i understood. But I had to keep the secret from my parents and protect him - I’m sorry, I wish you all the best in life and I hope you find someone you can be equally happy with. I sighed again as I reread the last message from her. If she only knew I would never find someone I could share myself ever again. I have photos of us that week locked away that I keep looking at when home. But nothing will ever be the same. Her father and mother try to talk to me but I keep pushing them aside saying work has me busy and out of town a lot. I keep looking at the circle on my calendar her graduation date is coming closer and closer. I was planning on surprising her but I didn’t know if I should. She could have moved on and that would hurt but I needed to see her achieve her goal.

Well shit. I didn’t think being 5 months pregnant I would have popped out this much. Thankfully my teachers were great about the pregnancy and said I could still have a great career. To make things even more better, I had an internship that would give me time off to care for the baby and then allow me to go back and work for them. I hadn’t heard from Kash, so I knew he’d moved on. I hated it. My dad and mum didn’t know I was pregnant but they were on a trip so they wouldn’t see me at graduation, or my burgeoning belly poking in the gown that when I walked, clung and made me seem bigger than I was.

Karen and Josh turned up at Kashs house, walking inside “pack a bag, our girl is going to graduate. She’s got no clue we’re coming. We said we were holidaying” he grinned slapping him on the shoulder “were leaving tonight. No excuses!”

I looked at him I had my bag ready but he didn’t need to know this. “Umm give me a second I have a bagged packed from my last business trip that got canceled so I’ll grab it.” I also had a gift but didn’t want them to know this either. I grabbed my bag and walked back out. “I’ll drive behind you guys that way I can leave when I need to.” Or stay longer who knows.

“Sounds good. She’s going to be so excited!” Karen beamed. “We’re taking her out for dinner too!”

I smiled. “Yeah she will be so excited” I said not believing it. I think she will be pissed. I got into my car and followed them the whole five hours. We checked ourselves in to our hotel it was still pretty early. I wonder what she is thinking of right now. I wish it were me but I doubt it.

I stared at the stage, my heart pounding as they called my name “and now graduating with top honour, Abigail Reeve.” Carefully I walked on the stage, a gust of wind blew and the gown pulled back, showing off my belly unbeknown to me.

“What the fuck!” I said and stood up staring at her. She was pregnant obviously pregnant! Is that our baby did she not go through it’s. I couldn’t take my eyes off her and her belly. Damn she was beautiful glowing.

The whole crowd was silent except for a “What the fuck.” My cheeks flamed as I seen him standing in the crowd, beside my parents. Shit. And all I could do was give an awkward cheesy smile, hold my certificate in the air and rub the belly to confirm. Which made the crowd clap and laugh.

Her parents were stunned. Josh shook his head at Kash and whispered “I’m glad you’re as mad as I am. She’s got a lot of explaining to do tonight! I’ll need you to have my back with this one.”

I couldn’t look at him I felt sick. I didn’t say anything to her m I just walked out and paces till everything was done I don’t know what to do or say to any of them. I lied to my best friend I got his daughter pregnant she kept the baby, now we are suppose to all go to dinner.

This was a nightmare. My parents hadn’t uttered a word to me about the pregnancy, just kept it light conversation. Kash has said nothing to me and wouldn’t look at me. I could say it was someone else’s but he knew it was his. This was our baby. I threw on some jeans and a light knit top, making my way to the restaurant.

“How the fuck could you let this happen.” Josh hissed at Karen. “She’s fucking her life up.”

“Like I did? Because I didn’t get an abortion either?” She shot back. “Now shut up, she’s just arrived.” She looked up with a smile “hi sweetheart.”

I smiled “hey.”

I looked up at her I just didn’t know what to do. “I need a whiskey.” I said under my breath. We needed to talk privately but couldn’t with her parents I knew they wanted answers and so did I.

Entree came out. The subject was ignored. Dinner came out. No one said anything. By the time dessert came over, I was the only one who wanted something. “You’re not full?” Mum asked softly “you’ve eaten a lot tonight.”

“Well. I am pregnant and hungry. I haven’t eaten all day. You know, coz there’s a baby in my stomach draining every ounce of energy for me.”

“Not here.” My dad said firmly.

“Fine.” I shrugged, enjoying my lemon meringue pie.

“What are you going to do, with work? Or will you come home and let us help you?” Mum asked finally.

I looked up, this couldn’t have been anymore awkward as Kash was there. “I’m still leaving for New York. I have an internship and they’re allowing me to take time off once I have the baby, and then I can go back to work.”
