They met, fell in love and married.. had a child but then drifted and separated. There was never any anger or fighting, they just simply grew apart and became more friends than lovers.. and even now, he comes to visit and she visits him.. they hang out and believe being this way is best for their 6 year old son.

How long can being just friends last when the topic of dating other people comes up.. have they really outgrown each other or are they just too scared to give it another go?

I looked at her. “So, we are okay?” I had to know I needed to hold her. “Will you move in here till we can find a place? Will you stay tonight and let me hold you?”

“I don’t know if we’re ok. My head is a mess right now but I will stay, and you have to go and tell my mum we’re moving in.” I grinned and knew she would tear shreds off his ass

I shivered. “You know she is going to eat me alive?” I said pulling her to me. “But I’ll do it for you. And princess we will be just fine I know we will we have to be.”

“I hope so. I really do.” I couldn’t take anymore of this. “Let’s go to bed, I’m tired.”

I smiled and stood up pulling her with me. As we got undressed and in bed I pulled her close. “I’m so sorry sage.” I kissed her head and held her close to me.

“Stop saying sorry.” I whispered closing my eyes and loving him finally holding me again. “We have 8 months to find a house.”

“8 months we can do it!” I laughed. “I love you sage.” Pulling her closer. “Let’s sleep I have a feeling Tommy will be up early and in here asking questions!”

“As he usually does” I agreed. I wondered why he wasn’t touching me or trying to sex it up. Had he slept with someone else? “Goodnight.” I rolled over wide awake staring into the darkness.

I kissed her neck. And held her as I dozed off into a nice sleep finally. I was almost happy. I still knew I needed to make up a lot and I’d start with breakfast then talking to her mum, then making a deal with Jake to buy half the shop at least. That way I wouldn’t always half to be there. I had a plan and I knew it would work. It had to.

“Mama where are my school clothes?” I groaned relaising they were at mums. “Shit. Umm don’t worry, well get them on the way to school.” I farted to the bathroom and threw up. “Daddy Mama is sick! We need a doctor.”

I looked at him. “It’s okay buddy, go get some cereal I’ll check on your mum.” I got up and rubbed her back. “Do you need me to take Tommy to get his stuff and get him to school? You can rest more. I’ll grab some of your things and his too.”

“If you don’t mind? I’m struggling to leave at the moment.” I grabbed a wash cloth to wipe my mouth before throwing up again. “I don’t want to tell anyone just yet. Not until we’ve got a plan.”

I smiled. “Okay I won’t say anything to anyone although Jake might already know well he might know you could be not that you are just putting it out there I might have mentioned it two weeks ago while I tried to explain to him the whys of needing you to move in with me.” I felt bad but I wasn’t going to lie. “I’ll make some toast for you just in case you get hungry.”

“Thanks baby.” I weakly smiled up at him. “I love you, give Tommy a kiss for me.”

I smiled. “It’s no problem I call or text to check on you and then when I’m done with everything I’ll be back okay.” I kissed her head. I went to her mums as we walked in Tommy ran to get ready and get his stuff her mum walked out and I smiled “ummm sage and Tommy are moving in with me.” I said knowing it was coming.

“Oh really?” She crossed her arms and rolled her eyes “over my dead body they are. All you’ve done is hurt her, I knew you were trouble the minute she came home from school talking about you.”

“I love her, they are my family if this is what she wants and she does then I’m here to get Tommy and her things you can call her if you’d like but she isn’t feeling well I think she has the flu or stomach bug that’s going around. THats why she isn’t here with us. I’m going to make Jake partner at the shop that way I’m home more. I’m changing things I’m going to make this work I’m not going to hurt her again.”

“She had to sell her house because of you.” She moved aside and let him in “I’d grab her things before her father comes back from the store.” She frowned slightly “I’ll make some chicken soup to bring around, I don’t want her unwell and eating nothing but pizza.”

I rolled my eyes. “I can make her soup I can cook!” I went and grabbed her stuff from her old room then went and grabbed tommys. I didn’t say anything else to her mum I just loaded up and then took Tommy to school he seemed happy that they would be living with me. Next I stopped by the shop and explained my plan to Jake and he liked the idea but had to check with the back to see if he could get a loan to pay me for half the shop. After that I stopped and got stuff from the store and went back to my place I unloaded everything and checked on a very sleepy sage. “Hey princess you hungry?”

“A little bit.” I had the covers wrapped up like a caccoon “how’s work?” I sat up a little and reached for the water bottle “did you get our things from mum?”

I did I just didn’t want to disturb you by bringing stuff in here.” I kissed her. “Your mum truly hates me now. Just wait till she finds out your pregnant!” I smiled. “I bought stuff to make your favorite soup if you’d like I’ll make it right now.”

“Only if you’re not busy.” I smiled. “Soup sounds good though and my mums never liked you. She will be thrilled about the baby.”

I laughed. “I’m not sure about that she really laid into me.” I kissed her. “I’ll make some soup you wanna rest in here or on the couch?”

“The bed smells of you.” I looked at him “what did you do in those two weeks? Did you go out or have anyone here?”
