Tanner and Charlotte are back!!

With seven kids! The quads who are turning 18 (max, noah, sam, Finn ) . Their daughter who is 16 ( Lily ) and the twins who are 15 ( Tom, Andy ) . It's been a crazy ride and they stopped breeding after they lost a son to stillbirth.

Now, Charlotte runs the café with Lily working there after school to help out.

Tanner has his boxing gym that he runs and trains but never fights.

How do the two of them make it work? is it still as passionate as before?

I couldn’t look at her. I was pissed at lily I was pissed at James and I was pissed that my char would do this. Of all things fall in with James. I looked at lily. “Your mum is here make sure you tell her what you did and that your grounded I have somewhere else I need to be.” A meeting with my mum to find things out once and for all because if they can do t so can I because I can’t stand making char miserable I would rather see her happy with him. I may never forgive him but if he can give her what I couldn’t then so be it. I walked away ignoring chars yells.


“Mum, Umm Dad has to go.” Lily stopped char by her arm.

I was confused, what happened? “Lily, why are you grounded?” I asked quietly not sure I wanted to know. 

“I went to a party last night. I gave a guy a blowjob and thought I was pregnant and told dad and he’s so mad.” She said quietly and ashamed but she loved the guy. 

I looked at her and tried to stay calm, I couldn’t work myself up. “Well then, you are grounded for sneaking out lily. You could have ended up in serious trouble.” I said calmly. “Your dad clearly doesn’t need to know his little girl is sucking off boys does he. Come to me next time.” I said doing my best not to cry as some friends came over to talk. 

Chris kept calling Tanner and it would ring out. “Fuck sale Tanner pick up! I told Charlotte about what you’re doing. She’s gone looking for you.” He said and paced the room.

I silenced my phone ignoring the calls and everything else I waited at the restaurant. When I saw her walk in I wanted to turn around but knowing what I saw I couldn’t. “So tell me where she is!” I said knowing she would know. “Tell me why she did it and tell me how to do it!”

“She’s happier this way, you need to leave it be Tanner.” She said calmly. “Your wife is pregnant again. You must be thrilled to know she’s carrying another mans child. Your sister knew, she always told me James and Charlotte were too close to be just friends, and she was right and you know it don’t you.” She sat at the table opposite him. “Your sister is alive, it wasn’t hard to fake and getting a doctor to sign off on the death certificate was easy enough when you have money.”

I was so mad Taylor knew this and didn’t tell me. I looked up at her. “Then how do I do it, how do I fake my death so I can be with Taylor and let char be happy with him. How mother, your good at it you know.” I sighed knowing if I did this I wouldn’t be able to really see my children or char again. I could still love them from a far but that’s it.

“Do you really want to do this? You can’t ever come back once it’s done. Tanner, your sister didn’t want to be a mother anymore.” She leant in closer “we can make it look like a car crash. It’ll be set on fire and they won’t be able to identify you but your wife will be told you died.”

I sighed. “Can I talk to Taylor for myself and decide?” I needed to hear it from her. I needed to know this is what she wanted and if she thinks I should. I looked at the woman who was my mother. “Let me talk to her and give me a two days to have with my children please.”

“No Tanner, you don’t get to decide in a couple days time. I’ll take you to Taylor, she’s on the boat and we’re leaving tonight.” She stood up “you have until 5pm. The boats leaves then.” She bent kissing his cheek “it was so good to see you again sweetheart.”

“Take me to her now and then I’ll let you know.” I said just needing to see her. I needed to hug her. Kiss her cheek and tell her how much I loved her and how sorry I was. My phone vibrated and I glanced seeing chars name. “Please.”

“Ok come on then.” She said and walked out. She drove in silence to the boat dock and walked to the boat where Taylor was. 

Taylor was sitting on the sofa when she looked up and shock was on her face “Tanner! Oh my god Tanner!” She ran to him and hugged him tightly “what are you doing here?” 

“He’s coming with us.” She said with a smile. “Aren’t you sweetheart?”

I looked at Taylor and examined her. “I’m not sure I told you I’ll let you know I want to make sure Taylor is happy and talk to her alone. Now mother please as soon as I talk to her I’ll let you know.” I looked at Taylor “sis I’m so sorry are you okay? Happy? Why?”

“I just don’t want to be a mother anymore, I love my kids but I love myself more. I need my life back. And James, I love James but James and Charlotte love each other. No one is that close without fucking. They always do things together, he denies it but I’m not stupid Tanner.” She looked with hopeful eyes “please come with me.”

I nodded.  “Okay, I’ll come with you.  Because I think your right I went to the lake house to see char and he was there with her in a embrace.  I didn’t want to believe it but damn I saw them together with my own eyes and he refused to have lunch with me today too.” My heart was breaking no my heart was broke.  “I just need to see my kids one last time.”

Tanner hadn’t called. I went back to the lake, rain pouring while James was still there waiting. “James.” I called out rushing inside. “He wouldn’t speak to me. He walked off.. I don’t know what to do.” I said through tears. I realised I left my phone in the car and turned back around, running to the car and then making my way back, but the steps were slippery and my foot slipped and I fell hard into the steps. Groaning, as James rushed down to help me stand, I got up only to feel warm blood between my legs and sharp pain. 

James called Tanner. No answer. He then called sam, letting him know to tell his dad they’re at the hospital and to get there fast. 

Sam rang his dad and it rang out. He left a message “mums in hospital. Uncle James said she fell and it is serious. Where the hell are you dad? Mum needs you!!” And he hung up

I just left the boat and looked at my phone James can’t get the hint I don’t want to talk to him. Sam called a lot shit my boy. I felt bad for what I would be doing. I listened to sams voicemail and at first I felt worse hearing Char was in the hospital but hearing James was with her pussed me off. I called Sam and told him I was heading to the hospital. As I got there I asked and they took me straight to her room. I saw James and didn’t even ask a or say anything I just walked up and hit him. Then spoke. “What the hell! Your suppose to be my friend! Your a real jerk Taylor was right about you! She fucking loves you and you hurt her by fucking my wife!” I looked over at char and saw her surprised expression. “Oh yeah I know! And don’t deny I saw you two getting all nice and cozy at my lake house! You fucking dick! Taylor knew and that’s why-“ I shook my head. “That’s why she did what she did! To get away from you! I can’t believe you! I don’t blame char at all she told me I wasn’t there for her and I realized to fucking late. But you! You to go after her and prey on her like that! God she deserves better than that!”

James scoffed “You’re fucking crazy. Are you drinking again? Is that what’s brought this on?” He yelled back giving him a shove “I didn’t fuck your wife nor would I, shed a sister to me and what you saw at the lake house was me crying because I told char about you and your insane vengeance to prove Taylor is still alive!!” He shouted “she hugged me then went to find you.” 

“I’m sorry but I’m going to have to ask you both to leave.” The nurse came in interrupting, a doctor followed and looked at Charlotte “I’m sorry Mrs Cross. We need to deliver now. Would you like your husband to stay?” 

I laid there, knowing I had to push. Knowing that no matter what happened, my baby wouldn’t be crying when she made her way into the world. “No I don’t need my husband in here. Get them both out.” I said unable to look at either of them. It felt like hours as they closed the door and blinds. Another baby dead. My heart broke as i gripped the rails, tears streaming down as I sobbed, feeling another contraction rip through me, I pushed and felt her leave my body as the doctor and midwife pulled her and cut the cord. Wrapping her in a small blanket, I just wanted to hold my baby. She looked peaceful, sleeping even. Just without any breathing. Tears came harder as in held her longer, just staring what should have been. “You are perfect Haven Tanner Cook. Just perfect.”

As I walked out I laughed. “Yeah you would love it if I was drinking wouldn’t you! But no! I’m not!” I checked my watch. “Fuck I missed the boat! Taylor is going to be pissed.” I said and saw the shock on his face. “Yeah you heard me! You prick!” I went to the other side and sat there. “You has everything and you wanted more! God your a idiot my sister loves you and her tore her heart out. You and my wife now have a child have fun with that.” I got up and went to go home and be with my kids seeing as char didn’t want me here.

James followed him out to the car park, and shrugged him by the neck turning him around and throwing his first into his face “your sister cheated how many fucking times? How many times did I take her back and she fakes her fucking death? So you’re going to do the same?!” He shouted, shoving him. “What child? What child are you talking about- are you serious? You honestly think I would fuck your wife? Wow. I’m blown away that you believe your own wife whose more than devoted to you would cheat.” He shook his head and laughed bitterly thrusting his finger towards the door of the hospital “she just gave birth to a dead baby and you’re accusing her of cheating, maybe you should get on that boat and leave then. If this is the type of man you’ve become.”

“Don’t you dare talk that way about my sister or char! You can fuck off! I never and I mean it never want to see you again.” I got in my truck and sighed. If what he says is true then I just ruined my life with char. I cried and drove home. I already missed the boat so now I’m stuck here. With a woman who won’t want me. I walked in and saw the kids all waiting. I looked at them and shook my head. “Your mums baby didn’t make it.” I didn’t know what else to say. “If you all want to go see her and uncle James then that’s fine but as long as he is there I won’t be.”

“Mum and uncle James? What?!” Lily looked at him crazy. “So you’re splitting up?” 

James walked into the hospital and sat by the room. He couldn’t leave her alone when no one else was in there. He couldn’t believe what Tanner had said. 

I thought Tanner would have come back but nothing. I was hurting and he wasn’t there for me. My heart broke even more. After a shower, I dressed and the hospital nurse offered to take some photos with us, but it was only me. I didn’t have my husband and he hasn’t met his daughter yet. Maybe he was just hurting.

“Umm dad..” Finn said walking into his office “why aren’t you with mum?”

I sighed. “Because your uncle is there and if he is then I am not needed to be there.” I said not looking up from the bottle that is sitting there hunting me. “Why don’t you kids go up there. She needs you guys too. I’ll be fine here I’m just going to pour this out and I don’t know.”

“Dad.” He said sighing “you know what, forget it. Forgot how much of a selfish dick you can be to mum. She deserves better and she’s right. We don’t do anything to help her, not even you.” He walked out and said loud enough “come on, let’s go get mum some flowers. mum needs us. At least we’re not going to abandon her.”

I sighed what was I to do. I waited till the kids were gone. Then poured out the booze and looked at a photo of char and I. I wanted to be there for her. I got my keys and left to go to her. Only I’m not sure what happened. But all I remember was some idiot driving crazy in the rain and bam. Nothing.

The kids came by, and it was nice to see them. They held their little sister and said their goodbyes. Tanner still hadn’t been. James walked in a couple hours later to say Tanner was in a car accident and was in a room here. Unlike him, I went down there to see him and make sure he was ok. He was pretty bruised up and it broke me seeing how hurt he was but I couldn’t forgive what he’s done. I stayed until he woke, and just looked at him. “How’s your head?”

I looked at the woman and thought she was beautiful but sad looking. “Ummm it hurts...where am I?” I looked around “who are you and why does such a beautiful woman look so said?” How the hell did I get here.
