She went to her first party, expecting a fun time. What happened, would leave her with a permanent reminder of that night forever.

I peeked in on the girls from time to time login what I saw. I was happy she was enjoying herself.

As Emma was finished and dried she went to help Asher and I knew I needed to ask some questions. "She is really well behaved! You know I would and never have looked down on you I have heard some rumors but I knew they weren't true. I could just tell." I said putting another foil in her hair. "I'm sorry your family isn't supportive but you know I'm here for you if you ever need to talk or whatever."

I wondered just how much he told his sister, and it bothered me because I didn't trust easily and we'd only just met. "she's wonderful." I smiled up at her. "and people will talk but that's not something I'm comfortable discussing around her or here." the last thing I wanted to remember was being raped and waking up half way through it. I fought back the tears, trying to focus on something happier. "how long have you been doing hair for?"

I smiled. "Since I graduated high school really. I got my state board licience and it's what I love." I sighed. "Just to let you know all Asher said to me about you was that you are a beautiful smart woman who he wants to know, that you have a beautiful daughter who is a joy and likes the same chips as him which I think are gross!" I said laughing.

"yeah I don't know where she picked up a like for those chips, but my favourite either" I laughed with her "you'll have to stop by my shop one day for coffee, it's only open 4 days a week as I like to spend Fridays with Emma." I glanced over the kitchen, maybe he wasn't completely gay

I smiled at her. "I would love too I think your shop is pretty close to where I wanna put mine!" I finished her hair and smiled as I dried it. "Wow you have beautiful hair." I smiled and knew my time was done. "I'll leave my card so you have my number call me anytime, even if it's just so you and my brother can have alone time I don't mind watching Emma." I hugged her and packed up after saying bye to Emma and my brother they were so cute in the kitchen together.

We were a little bit of a mess but what's cooking without a mess. I smiled as I helped Emma stir the pot and she giggled as she pulled the spoon up and flicked sauce all over us. She had a lot of my qualities even without me being around. I felt maddy watching us but I couldn't turn with Emma standing on the chair over the hot sauce.

I watched the both of them making one heck of a mess, and laughed when more sauce went everywhere "so are we eating off the walls, or in bowls tonight?" I asked coming around to the side of them "I swear you two are a match in the kitchen." it was odd how well they actually got along, that they were quite similar with how they done things but I didn't think anything of it

I smiled and glanced at her if she only knew. "She is a good helper, helper of messes that's for sure." I them did a double take. "Wow!" I said looking at her and picking Emma up automatically. "Look at my my doesn't she look beautiful." I said just in awe.

I felt my cheeks heat up "stop it, you're making me blush." I tried to brush it off as I wasn't used to compliments like that. "if anyone looks beautiful it's Emma and those pink nails!" I laughed when she grinned wiggling her fingers

I looked at Emma. "She is very beautiful." I leaned in and kissed Emma's little cheek without thinking when I glanced at maddy I blushed. "Sorry she is just adorable."

"takes after her mama, that's why." I replied back cheekily, peering over the counter to the food "your sister offered to baby sit if we ever wanted alone time, I'm not sure what she was implying but I'm a little confused, as she said you talked about me but they think youre really dating the same sex as yourself." I smiled watching his eyes turn to shock

I sat Emma down. "Princess go wash up for dinner." I said and she bounced off happy. I turned and looked at maddy. "Just because I don't date and hadn't dated since high school by no means, means I'm gay." I said walking right up to maddy. She took some steps back not afraid but nervous. "I like you maddy I'm attracted to you, I want to know everything about you, I want to kiss you right now!"

My mouth went dry. He wanted to kiss me? I couldn't help it, I began giggle softly. "yeah right, you really want to kiss me." no one has ever wanted to kiss me. I don't even think I have been kissed before and that terrified me. "I might be bad at it." I whispered

I smiled. I didn't say anything I just leaned in and took her soft full pouty lips with mine and slowly kissed her. She was shocked at first but submitted and when my tongue slid against hers I could have came right then. I pulled away as I heard little feet. "Perfect." I said as Emma ran into the kitchen.

I stood there, unmoving as my tongue slowly swept against my lips, tasting him. "I'll.. I'll get the drinks." anything to keep myself busy and my mind off of that kiss. I wanted to kiss him again.

I smiled "you do that while I finish up." God I wanted her but knew what happened and knew she wasn't ready and before that happened I would need to tell her the truth. I can't really use the excuse that I was drunk or that my friends put me up to it because I still did what I did. I hated myself but then I looked at Emma and well I loved that she came from my stupidity.

I set up our drinks as they dished dinner up. Sitting down, Emma smiled big "look mummy! We made dinner together!" she looked so proud. I looked up at Asher, smiling "it looks and smells amazing, I can't wait to eat it."

I smiled "well let's dig in then." I raised my glass and said "too many more." I was meaning dinner and the amazing kiss we shared as I winked at maddy. I heard Emma giggle.

"ash do you love my mummy?" Emma asked excitedly as she beamed at him. Oh dear I haven't expected to ever hear that

I smiled. "Well Emma I like your mummy and want to get to know her better but, we just meant and hopefully we can fall in love but I can't promise anything." I said hoping that was okay.

She seemed happy with that and smiled, going back to her food. I looked up at him, my heart racing as fast it had done during our kiss "you want to fall in love with me?" I asked, my voice lower so she didn't hear us talking. I gave a soft smile, "I'd like to see you again."

I smiled back at her and whispered. "I'm glad because after that kiss sweetheart I will have to see you again, and as far as falling in love with you I can only hope I do." And that you will forgive me for doing what I did all those years ago.

I laughed "yeah she seems the kind to not let you off the hook so easily." I liked that he wanted to stay, not just for me but Emma also
