I listened to what he had to say, and my heart broke for him. I wished he would have told me this or let me help. "you broke my heart twice, I don't know what you want but I can't let you walk back in here and move in like nothing happened, I have the girls to think of.. It's hard enough when Harper asks for their daddy.." I wiped the tears from my eyes "I dont want a divorce but I need to think about all of this and whats best for the girls."

i nodded and said. "I get that and understand I'll be staying at pas in the meantime so I'll be close and I also need to work on the farm. Fred will be by a few times to meet with me to make sure I'm not hitting the bottle, he will want to talk with you as well." I sighed. "Is she-". Oh god how do I ask. "Is she the outcome of our last time together?" I looked up and into her eyes and I knew before she spoke. "Oh god lily I'm so sorry." I said and dropped my head into my hands and cried.

The moment he cried again, I began to also. I stood up, hesitated a moment before I reached out and squeezed his shoulder. "maybe.. You could come by for breakfast in the morning?" I suggested, wanting him to stop crying.

i wiped my eyes. "Only if you really want me too but before I go can you tell me about her and Harper please." I just needed something before I left her I needed to know my girls were happy.

I nodded, sitting down beside him "Harpers very girls, she loves playing with her dolls and tea parties, Willow is the opposite, we can't walk past a puddle without her jumping in them. She loves to play in the hay bales and chase the chickens around.." I smiled "but they're the best of friends, they're great. Your pa's been around everyday, and takes the girls on the horses.. They love the animals." my smile faded a little, he missed so much. "theyre great girls"

i smiled. "I knew you would do a great job, I'm so sorry. I want to get to know them both I mean the last I saw Harper she was stil a baby only about two months old." God I was a prick. "Your still as beautiful as every."

"well she's three now, and willow two" I couldn't help my hurt. "I won't keep you from them but I need to trust you before I mention you're their daddy, I hope you understand.. You really hurt me."

i nodded. "I know and I hate myself for it. I will do everything to make you trust me and I'll try to not screw up again but I'm sure I will but not as bad as this or the other time." I looked over my shoulder when I heard the door open. There stood the daughter I've never met. Willow she said her name was. Such a beautiful name for her. I must ask how she came up with it.

I noticed Willow standing there rubbing her eyes, holding her pinky blankey. i got up, and walked to her, lifting her up and she snuggled into my chest. "you want cuddles?" i asked softly, and she nodded yawning then pointed to Ryder. I walked back over sitting down again "she likes to come into my room through the night and sleep.." although my room was the spare one, i hadn't touched our bedroom since that night when everything happened.

i smiled looking at her. "Yeah, I would too if I was her." I looked up at lily. "Do you want me to go so you can get her back to sleep she looks pretty tired and you do as well."

"Ok" a part of me panicked that he wouldn't come back and I'd never see him again. "Come by when you wake and we can do breakfast" i said really hoping he'd show as i stood, holding a sleeping Willow "I'm going to put her in the bedroom.." i didn't notice her blanket had dropped as i walked off to the room

i picked up the blanket and followed quietly behind her. I stood in the doorway. Holding the blacket.

I laid her down, tucked her in and went to undress but noticed him in the doorway and the blanket. "Oh thanks.. wakes up screaming if she hasn't got that with her." i said taking it from him, lingering in the doorway "are you ok Ryder? to stay with your pa i mean.." i asked quietly.

i gave a small smile. "yeah well I mean I would love to be under the same roof as you and the girls but I won't push it plus my pa should be up waiting on me because he wants answers too but I told him you deserved to hear everything first." I sighed and ran a hand down my face. "I'll be back in the morning what time do the girls get up I wanna be here as soon as they do."

"Six," i laughed a little "yeah we go and feed the chickens, it's something the girls love doing. Real little farmers they are, Harper even goes to riding pratice." she loves horses. "But whenever you wake up, no doubt you're tired" i looked at him, my eyes going to his lips but i looked away quickly. "Goodnight Ryder." and i turned, going back to the room.

i smiled and said "six it is." I walked back to pas and we talked he still was mad but he understood and gave me a lecture on how mas passing wasn't my fault. I came to terms with that now but I couldn't back then. I went to bed and woke at 5 going off only a few hours would be hard but worth it when I got to see all three of my girls. I went to the barn after getting ready and waited for them to show up.

Marco walked over to start work, and stopped when he spotted a familiar face. Boy he was pissed but glad to see him "I didn't know you were back.." he said crossing his arms across his chest. "you know I feel as if it's my duty to kick your ass for hurting her again, but I won't.." he smirked, "I guess finding out lilys moved on is tough enough, I mean at least at stuck around after finding out she had kids with another man.. and the girls like him.." ok that was a lie but he wanted to hurt him.

i looked at him. "Lily didn't mention anyone last night." I sighed. "I know I hurt her bad. It if I would have stayed I would have hurt her worse and it wouldn't have been fair to her or the girls." I sat down on the hay. "She really seeing someone?" I asked hurt but I deserved the hurt.

"yeah he's only new to town, works on another farm, it's serious to.. Now stand there and imagine another man inside your wife." he shrugged and walked off. He felt bad but fuck him for hurting her. He turned around and called out "oh, they eat breakfast before they come feed the chickens.. Better get up to the house fast"

Well I guess he wasn't showing up. Harper was holding her little cup waiting for a hot chocolate. I was tired from barely sleeping afyer seeing Ryder. I'd missed him so terribly much and was anxious, excited and scared about today. "come on, let's get you girls fed." I sighed and turned the kettle on

i sighed after a while then got up to head to her house the lights were on so I knocked. If this guy was here it would be awkward but I wouldn't make a seen because she deserved to be happy. I had to face it I fucked up and I deserve it. I was pissed don't get me wrong but I had no right to be.

I opened the door, kind of glad that he showed up "I didn't think you were coming, I'm just making breakfast now, you hungry? " I held the door open for him "Willows full on of a morning, Harper not so much." I laughed a little and walked in to where the girls were

"Well I actually went to the barn and thought I would give you today's breakfast to maybe talk to the girls about me but I ran into Marco and he mentioned your boyfriend to me and that he usually has breakfast with you." I looked up to see her confused look. "I understand I don't like it but I want you happy, that doesn't mean I'm not going to fight for you three. I mean I'm screwed up sugar so I don't blame you in any way."

Boyfriend? What the hell was he talking about. "umm unlike you, I respect our marriage vows." I said quietly and turned away "it's just me and the girls here, noone else" I said and walked back to the kitchen as the toaster dinged

i looked at her and shook my head. I walked in behind her and saw the girls look at me. I wave to them not knowing what to do. Things were awkward.

Harper looked up at the man and put her hot chocolate down "would you like a hot choccy like me? It's so yummy!" she licked her lips and smiled "mummy makes the best ones!"

I smiled at her, she was just like him "of course I do." Willow stared up at him and slowly stepped behind me to hide "shes shy sometimes, not very often though.. So, coffee or hot chocolate?"
