Pa jumped and grabbed her just in time. "doctor!! we need a doctor!!" he yelled.. doctors came rushing in and pushed him aside to take her.

I was on my way back to the room, almost knocked over by a team of doctors and a bed.. my hand covered my mouth "oh no.. Ryder.." i rushed into the room, "is Ma ok? oh god, what happened.."

i felt like shit I wouldn't talk I was so upset. I looked at lily and then pa. Pa put a arm around lily knowing Ryder needed some time. "Rest son I'll be back in a few." As they got to the Hal and followed his wife. "Ryder told her to relax and she got upset and collapsed. He is going to take it hard if something happens he will blame his self knowing this is all ribs doing always is." He sighed. "Just give him some time sweetheart."

I wanted to be there for Ryder and hoped he didn push me away. "She'll be ok.." i had to keep positive about it. "Rob needs help, and i hope he gets it.." i said as the doctor walked over towards us.. i knew just by the face that she had passed away. "I'll tell him." i said, going back into the bedroom with tears running down my cheeks.

i looked up as I seen her and started shaking my head no. "If your here to tell me bad news don't! I can't no!" I said a bit angry not at her but at rob and myself.

i tried to sit up. "No!" I shook my head. This wasn't happening. I broke down my monitors I was hooked up to began to beep louder my head started to hurt more. All my thoughts were I killed her I killed my ma.

"please you need to stop.." I.sobbed, trying to stop him from thrashing about. The doctor came in, and noticed what happened. They were holding him down, and inserting something into his IV drip. I sat there just crying and holding Harper.

after a while my eyes grew heavy. The last I remember is seeing lily holding Harper and crying. She hated me she blamed me and so would everyone else I thought as I dozed off.

I walked into my sons room after receiving my wife's things. I saw him sleeping and looked at lily. "He didn't take it well did he?" I put my arm around her. "He is going to blame himself big time. But he needs to know it wasn't his fault the doctor said that she was going to have a heart attack sooner or later she had a lot of blockage." I sighed not knowing what else to do or say.

"I don't think he's going to handle this well at all.." i rested my head against his shoulder. I couldn't even imagine how i would feel if i lost Ryder. It was heartbreaking when we were apart for those months. I just hoped Ryder didn't drink his feelings away or push me away. I ended up closing my eyes and falling asleep.

i woke and saw lily sleeping and my dad watching me. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to yell at mum." I said and started to slilently cry. I hated myself.

"Don't cry son.. it's not your fault, none of this is." he said quietly. "her heart wasn't in good shape. What happened, couldn't be helped." he sighed, unable to move. "Your brother doesn't know yet, when Lily wakes I'll need to go and tell him."

i scrunched my face up. "Yeah let that asshole know I'm fine too!" I growled. I don't care what anyone said ma passing was because I was a idiot and yelled at her. It was my fault. I shut down that day.

A month later i heard Harper cry but I didn't go out of my office I don't know what lily was doing but I was already passed drunk trying to not remember that day and the words I said.

Dinner was burning, Harper was screaming and I was trying to do the washing. "Ryder" I called out, needing his help. Nothing. I raced up to Harper's room and picked her up from her cot, she was drenched thru. I changed her and came back down, stopping by the office. "so pizza for dinner, and maybe we could make love later-" I stopped talking, "are you drunk?" I could smell the alcohol.

"well can you come help me, Harper needs to be fed and I have washing to hang and dinner to throw out" I needed some help from him. I snatched the bottle of booze away, and stormed out.

Harper and I ate dinner alone and then i tucked her into bed. i walked into the lounge with a glass of cold water and tossed it at his face, he woke with a fright, "good you're up.. get off the couch and take a shower, you stink!" i spat.
