I bite my lip as it kinda hurt for it to heal but then it stopped and just became sore.

I let the magic seep into the wound and slowly knit it closed and i sogh as i let the magic go and let my hand drop to my sode. "that shpuld do it."

"il have someone that i trust check for more secret passages or il do it myself." I say as i c drako come closer and i let lyra go

She jumps on me and knocks me down again. I knew she didn't mean any harm because she was checking for more injuries, but I pushed her off telling her I was fine.

Drako gently picks her up by the nape of the neck and takes her to the basin i smile lightly but shake my head "i can tell shes already connected to you mentally im sure she felt the pain you were in when you got hit."

I nodded as I watched Drako take her and she started squirming in his grasp to get to me. "I would say so, it's the first time she hasn't wanted Drako."

"unfortunatly shes gana need to learn that she cannot help much and drako is trying to teach her that now. I remember the one time he wedged himself in a doorframe trying to get to me when i got hit on the head during a battle and i blacked out thankfully some of my men were there to protect me and drakos rear end i came to about 10 minutes later and had to push hard on his nose as he pushed against the wall." I saod laughing alittle. "he was about 6months old at the time and ever simce he tryed to find a path big enuf for him to squeeze thru to get to me instead of wadging himself in another door frame.

I giggled. "Man, I wish he would do that, just once for me. I would love to see him do that," I said.

"well you might get to see lyra do that when shes older if she doesnt learn her leason now from drako. Unfortunatly there is very little dragons can do for us. They can double our power and energy reserves with their own amd they can help fight and protect us and even help us travel vast distances and help us cook food or forge weapons with thier fire but other than that there isnt much they can do for us. And you see what damage a single blast of fire can do to a stone wall so younget a general idea of how powerful dragons really are. In body and mind." I say seriously. "and they can perform miracles when the mood or feeling is just right. One time a dragon turned sandstone into pure diamond for her riders master bc of how strong his feelings were

"That sounds wonderful," I said and looked back at Lyra who had calmed quite a bit but couldn't help the worried looks at me. Drako was still holding her too.

"No, Lyra crushed my chest a bit, but that's alright," I said and gave her a soft smile but she couldn't stop giving me that look, and seemed a little sad now.

"well she was trying to help as best she could. Drako bring her over here." He does so and rests ber in my lap. "you little one just need to learn to control your strength your alot stronger than you think you are and getting stronger every day." I say as i look her in the eyes.

She looks at him and makes growls in her throat as she attempted to talk to us.

I smiled and nodded "yea i understand but just work on learning how to control your strength and things like this wont happen. I understand you reacted out of pure instict to save her and im proud of you for that and im surprised that the arrow missed drako unless it bounced off his scales but you are still nothing but fur you still need to becareful till your scales start coming in in about another week and harden." I say to her understanding her completly.

She makes a slight nod before going to me. She walks slowly so that way it won't hurt me when she got in my lap. I hugged her quietly to tell her I was okay. "Don't worry about me Lyra. I've been through worse than an arrow in my shoulder." I whispered to her.

I smiled as i c her rest her head on your glod shoulder. "trust me lyra drako will do the best he cN to help keep her safe until you can help as well in about 3 months." I say as i softly rest my hand on her side.

I rub her back softly like I would a baby. I held her quietly until she pulls back. Then I kiss her nose. "You just worry about growing up little girl, I'll still be here you can protect me."

I smiled as i watch and feel drako vently push my shoulder. I smiled up at him and rest my hand on his neck "i no drako we will do what we can between all 3 of us to protect her"

Lyra looked at Drako. I pet her softly as they speak.

I smiled and he rests his massive head down on the floor watching us closely

She lays down and I can tell she wanted to stay near me for awhile so I let her. I start petting her softly.

"drako y dnt you go get something to eat for you and lyra" he nods and gets up slowly and takes flight not going very far incase theres another attack.

I watch Lyra quietly feeling a little worried about her. Even though we reassured her she still seemed upset that she couldn't help me.
