Emma used to be a star soccer player. Then, on the night before the championship, she crashed. Four friends plus her in a car. All were having fun, but then a drunk crashed into them, only her. One other survived, if that's what you'd call it. She was paralyzed from the waist down. Now she needs therapy and pick me up. Will thee new kid be any good?

"Sounds perfect to me," I smiled at him.

The bell rings. "We should go, so we're not late," I said.

"Do you really mind if we get late to class? " I asked jokingly as I moved her wheel chair toward our homeroom classroom.

I shrugged. "Not particularly. I get a pass since I'm in a wheelchair, but you don't unless you come with me," I said.

"No, unfortunately it's easier to get out if I'm at the front," I said.

"Well, then it is the front where we are heading" I nodded as I moved her wheel chair toward the front row of desks.

The announcements came on and everyone stood for the pledge. Besides me of course.
