I sighed looking at her. “I didn’t purposefully knock you up Peyton. Was I happy yeah but fuck I made a huge mistake. I’m fucking sorry, punish me all you want but don’t punish yourself.” I walked over to her. “Please don’t punish yourself. You deserve to be happy.” I pulled her to me and kissed her head. “Whatever it is I just want you happy. I’ll be here regardless, but know this I want you and billy.”

“Well then for now it’ll be as if we’re seperated because that’s what we are. We may be married but we haven’t lived in a marriage for years, and that to me is seperated. So for now, I just need to be that. I need to figure out what I want, I don’t know-“ I sighed hating it. “Our relationship is just going to be friendship only.”

I held her nodding because that’s all I could do. “I’ll be here for whatever you need or want. Your in control Peyton don’t forget that baby! You have my heart all of it.” I kissed her head. “I’ll go tell billy I’ll see him- umm when should I tell him I’ll see him?” It was up to her not me.

“Let’s just talk about that tonight.” I said unsure if anything right now. I’d broken my own heart again trying to protect it. “Don’t plan anything, I’ll come over for dinner and we can talk about this further.” I said quietly.

I backed away and nodded. “Okay, can I at least tell billy I’ll see him later?” I wasn’t ever going to say goodbye because I won’t ever leave. “Goodbye isn’t a option.” I told her hoping she would get the meaning.

I nodded and walked away finding billy.  “Hey buddy, I got to get home and feed the animals and do some work okay your mummy and you are going to have lunch and then you can go and have fun with your grandparents! Your mum has my number she can give it to your grandparents and you can call me anytime!” He looked at me and it kills some he didn’t understand any of this anymore than I did. After saying bye I heading Lee home hating myself more and more.  I showered again and set the text to Peyton telling her the time and my address.  I did what I had to and started on the dinner. Fuck it would of been a perfect night for a ride- shit I forgot the present I had bought her and that-I looked up and double fuck it should be arriving there now.

I was making my way out the door, getting ready to leave when I noticed a car pulling up. Frowning, I wasn’t sure who would be stopping by. “Can I help you?” I asked. The man smiled “this is for you I believe” he said, and handed me a box with a bow on it. And then I knew it was from Walker. Sitting it on the table. I lifted the lid but stopped myself and closed it again. I walked to the car and drove to his house, walking up the pathway with a bottle of wine and knocked.

I was nervous and a mess as I ended up having to go out and rescue one of my baby cows was stuck in the fense I saw her car as I walked up I was dirty and needed a shower. “Hey sorry.” I said coming up behind her I opened the door. “I had to save my newest baby cow.”

“You have cows?” This I had to see. “How many? What their animals do you have?” I asked, following him inside. The house was how I pictured it but only better.

I smiled. “I have cows, horses chickens, a few donkeys, pigs-“ and I was going to mention my two babies (two German shepherds) who were running towards us now. “These two girls!” They jumped up on me and I loved on them both. “Mind if I clean up a little before dinner?”

“That’s fine.” I said, watching him. I bit my tongue, and just smiled. “Where are your glasses, I think I need something to drink.” I said heading to find the kitchen, which of course was also amazing

I laughed. “I don’t have wine glasses Peyton sorry but here.” I said reaching to give her two glasses. “I won’t be long but make yourself at home.” I dashed upstairs and quickly showered. As I came back down dressed and towel drying my hair I smile. “As much as I’m looking forward to eating I’m not sure I’m looking forward to talking.” I pouted. “But let’s eat.”

I laughed “why are you nervous to talk? It’s better than complete silence” I said, sitting my glass down. “What is fur dinner?”

“Lasagna salad and bread. And I just don’t want to lose you and billy, even if I don’t deserve you both I don’t k kw what I’d do if I lost you and him. He is such a great boy you did so well with him.” I sighed. “I’m also not sure how to just be friends with you when to be honest I want more.”

“You don’t loose us, we’re not going anywhere but I just can’t be more than friends now. You keep trying to set the rules, saying no to sex unless it’s when I’m forgiving you. I just stared at her. “I-fuck!” I sat down and put my head in my hands. “Is that how you feel that I’m trying to control everything?” I hated that but fuck I just wanted to make sure we were both ready for things. “I don’t want to control things okay maybe I like having control with you in the bedroom but I don’t know why I do, but I don’t want to control you.” I glanced up at her. “I understand you want us to be friends I get it I hurt you and I deserve you to hate me. I don’t want that but I deserve it. I don’t deserve billy wanting to spend time with me but fuck I’m so grateful. I just don’t know how to do any of these you know. I’m trying here I am.”

You keep saying when I forgive you, and when I trust you again.” I looked at him “stop playing the victim, you up and left your pregnant wife and unborn son, you come back and sulk about missing so much. That was your fault. You could have called, or emailed.. you could have visited but you didn’t. But what is done is done, you don’t get to tell me what to do anymore.” I sat down, sighing. I felt like shit.  “Your in charge Peyton.” I nodded and looked at her.  “I’ll do whatever you want.”  I wasn’t hungry at all now because now all I could think about was her stating she wanted to fuck.  I licked my lips and tried to adjust myself.
