At 18 Colt thought he found the girl he would love forever till she cheated and he and her best friend got together. They started dating then the unexpected happened and she fell pregnant. Both her parents and his insisted they marry. Colt thinking he was to young to be a father and a husband specially when at first he only got with her to puss off his ex. But he truly cared for his son to be mother of his child. He just wasn’t ready so the day of graduation and only weeks after he married his pregnant girlfriend he took off. He never really looked back. He thought of them every day but couldn’t go back. Not till he was wealthy and truly knew he wanted them. He just hoped it wasn’t to late. Not knowing if he had a son or a daughter not knowing if she was still living in the small town or if she was involved with anyone. They were still married after all.

I smiled. “Good, I don’t want you to take anything like what I did to you again.” I squeezed her hand back. I was excited that I was able to spend today with them it was going to be hard going home to the empty house. After a little while we lift stopping to get pizza and then went to her place. Eating and laughing at billy made my stomachs hurt and my cheeks ache but I loved it. Once it was time for billy to go to bed I let her have the time with him alone but not before I told him happy birthday and have him a hug telling him thank you for letting me hang out with him and his mum on his special day. I then sat and waited on Peyton to come back out.

“He fell asleep pretty quickly, the excitement wore him out” I laughed, looking at him sitting on the couch like that. I groaned and picked up the box of dvds. “Umm well let’s put this on” i said nervously

I smiled. “Lets!” I was so excited and as I saw her in so much pain I couldn’t help but take her hand in mine. Fuck I was a terrible person. I watched and watched then when I saw him as the big baby he was I cried. “He looked a lot like you then.” I said a little shaky. “He was a handsome baby. I bet my mum and yours just wanted to cuddle him all the time.”

“ They did, they helped out so much which I’m grateful
For. There’s no way I would have coped without them taking in turns to stay and help with the house and meals” I just stared at the screen trying to ignore what my heart was telling me. “But that’s then, and now he’s growing up and will be a teenager before long”.

I groaned “hopefully he isn’t anything like I was.” I said meaning it but trying to play it off as a joke. “Peyton I’m really sorry I wasn’t there I should have been there for you and him. I’m sorry.” I wiped my eyes and looked at her. “I truly am.” Fuck I wanted to kiss her.

“Yeah well you left so there’s no point in worrying about the past.” I said rubbing the base of my neck. “Things changed and that’s ok, it wasn’t meant to be.” I picked up the remote, distracting myself and turning off the video. “You can take them to your house, I’m sure you’ll want to watch them al.”

I sighed. “If that’s what you want Peyton.” I hated it I really did I looked at her lips wanting to taste them again. I looked back up at her eyes. “If that’s what you want.”

No. “Yes.” I whispered “it’s for the best if you do.” I said quietly, my heart racing against my chest. I went to move, but instinct took over and I was soon on his lap straddling his waist, and kissing him.

I groaned and ran my hands up bee thighs to her ass gripping her pulling her closer fuck she tasted so good better than I remember. Our kids was frantic like we both needed it , wanted it. Gasping I pulled away a little. “I don’t want to leave.” I knew I should but I didn’t want to. I just wanted to be here with them.

“I don’t want you to either but you have to.” I moaned, running my hands up beneath his shirt to pull it off him. “It’s been almost seven years.. you don’t deserve me but fuck I want you.”

I groaned. “I want you to but not like this Peyton. I want to earn all of you before I have your body. I don’t want you to regret anything. I want to take my time with you.” I hated saying it but I couldn’t have her not yet. “I need your trust to make love to you. I don’t have that yet.” I kissed her gently hoping and praying she understoood.

I pulled away, panting heavily and realised what I had done. “Oh my god.” I was mortified as I rushed to get off him. “You should go... please.” I couldn’t look st him. Why did I act like this around him?! I was fucking the stupid fool who fell for him last time.

I pulled her to me. “Peyton don’t please. Don’t pull from me. I want to earn your trust fully before we even think of making love cause trust me we will be making love.” I held her to me just needing to. “I really don’t want to go but I will knowing that’s what you want. But sweetie don’t pull away.”

“I’m scared of you hurting me. See how easily it is for me to go back to you? I swore I would never speak to you again and here I am doing everything I say I won’t.” I looked up st him, tears in my eyes “you ruined me! You fucking destroyed me! But I still love you and hate that I love you.” I shook my head “you have to go, because I need to think clearly and I can’t do that with you here. You walked out on us, you can’t kust come back to normal.”

I nodded. “I know I hate that I did. I will go but I’ll be by tomorrow to fix some things around the house. I am glad you love me after all I’ve don’t but Peyton we need to take things slow you need to trust that I won’t leave I want you to love me for who I am now and to do that we both need to get to know one another again. I don’t want a divorce I never did want that but I went around things wrong and I’m here to make it all right.” I kissed her softly. “Just giv eme a chance to prove to you. Sleep in it I’ll be back in the morning.”

“Come over for pancakes, I’ll be making those. If you’re not busy.” I didn’t know what he was doing. With a smile I walked him to the door and opened it “drive safe, we both have a lot of thinking to do.”

I smiled.  “I’ll be here!” I leaned in and kissed her cheek.  “Thank you.”  I walked to my truck not wanting to leave but knowing I had to.  As I drove home and walked into the empty house I pulled my phone out.    -good night beautiful, I’ll see you in the morning.-

- goodnight x - I sent back, I checked in on Billy before making my way to bed and beneath the sheets. I was beyond tired, and embarrassed for throwing myself at him that way. I fell asleep, and struggled to fall asleep. I woke hours later, getting up to make a start on breakfast. When I heard the door open and him walking in “morning. Coffee?” I called out

I smiled as I walked over to her and kissed her cheek. “Coffee would be great.” I looked over and grabbed a mug. “But I got it you don’t need to worry about it. But would you like a refill?”

“Love a refill, thanks.” I was kind of shocked because he never usually ever offered me something. It was always him for himself. “Two sugars.”

I smiled. “Two sugars.” I added them and gave her, hers first then myself. “Billy still sleeping?” I was really wanting to talk to her for a little because I want her to know I’m serious about things and I need her to put her touch on the house I bought knowing she would love the house.

“Yeah he’s tired, but he usually wakes longer on weekends anyway.” I said stirring the batter. “How did you sleep last night?”

I laughed. “I didn’t really. It sucked I just kept thinking how lonely the house is and that I wished you both were there with me.” Yeah it might of been cormy but it was the truth. “Speaking of the house I want your opinion on some things so maybe one day billy is in school you can help me?”

“Like what? I’m sure you can hire an interior designer to do all that for you.” I mean, he was loaded now. He could pay someone to do this

I smiled. “I could but what they like and want doesn’t mean a thing to me. I’d rather have your input.” I was being to serious but that’s how I felt and what I wanted.
