“We haven’t had one since colt died, I thought that maybe it’s time for you to have a furry friend again.” I let him go, and he eagerly ran over his new daddy. “Happy birthday Tanner,” I just loved seeing him smile and happy.

“Ok fine.” I sighed, just giving in and agreeing with him. I don’t know how I was feeling, it was more shock from the days drama than anything. I was still adjusting to this pregnancy and now it was taken away from me. At the hospital I was taken to a room and an ultrasound done, the doctor nodded “you have lost one of the twins, the other has a faint heartbeat and will need monitoring closely. I suggest bed rest until further notice.”

I looked over at the doctor. “Wait, your saying the one has a chance?” But she said she had already two ultrasounds and there wasn’t anything. “Bed rest okay I will make sure she sticks to it.” I was happy and sad all at once. Looking down at her I gave her a stern look. “Char what would have happened if you didn’t bleed like this? Those other doctors schedule you for surgery!” Fuck now I was pissed at those doctors. “I’ll fucking she the shot out of them!” I growled. “Okay for now though we need to keep you and baby safe.”

“Well it’s hard not to stress with everything going on at home.” I said quietly. I wasn’t sure if he was more angrier at them or me on the drive home. We didn’t say much, I was tired and just wanted to sleep. The kids were all up and awake still as I rubbed my hands together and walked down to the bedroom “I’m going to bed. Please keep it down out here.” I said to them with a heavy sigh

I sighed. “I’ll be up in a few.” I needed the kids to start helping now. I didn’t want anything to happen. “Baby would you like a snack I can run out get you whatever or call in for something anything.” I was desperate at this point. She shook her head and I nodded once she was gone I looked at the kids. “Your mum is to stressed she lost one of the babies and the other is struggling to hold on so you know what that means you all need to help and do your part we have to help minimize the stress that includes me!”

“Why is she stressed for? She’s not doing anything.” Tom asked curiously. “Actually never mind”, he knew better than to argue.

I yawned, lying on a towel in bed. One pregnancy, I was happy the baby was still there but also gutted I’d lost a one of our babies.

I shook my head. “Tom if you have to ask yourself that then you need to do more around here.” I sighed and walked away as I got upstairs I hated seeing her look the way she did. I didn’t care I stripped my clothes and got in bed behind her pulling her close. “I love you char I’m so sorry for the way I have been acting.”

“Are you having a mid life crisis?” I joked with a soft laugh. “Maybe I’m the one having it, I don’t know.. I’m just not sure what’s going on with me lately. I’m just exhausted.” I pulled his arm tighter around my body, wanting him closer

I smirked into her neck. “No im not but I do know when I fucked up and I’m sorry.” Kissing her neck. “I don’t need to stress you out not now not ever.” I moved my hand to her belly. “I need to protect you and our little one.”

“Maybe.. I don’t know.. maybe just cancel your appointment next week. I just think I’m going to want more.” And Christ I think now I sounded crazy. “Im not mad about being pregnant.. I just needed to wrap my head around the idea of a newborn when we have almost fully grown children.”

I smiled.  “I love you.”  Is all I could say she is going through so much and I was an ass wanting to make love to her and being stupid.  Pulling her closer.  “Sleep baby I’ll be right here for you.”

I slept for what felt like days, and when I woke up I was not as tired but I also noticed it was just past midday. “Shit” I mumbled with a yawn, rolling over and feeling the bed warm still but I was alone. I smiled loving that he’d obviously been here with me until not long ago. “I’m just coming to get coffee.” I said still in my pyjamas and hair tussled

All I did was get up to we and she was already not listening to what the doctor said. “Char in bed now I’ll get you everything you need!” I said sternly so she wouldn’t fight me. I know how she use to like it when I would be in control so I was hoping not to piss her off.

“I couldn’t find you.” I bit my lip, then giving a slight pout. “I’m going back to bed, there’s a new movie on Netflix that I want to watch, theres a shower Part in there that looks really good.” I winked and made my way back down to our room

Shaking my head. “Woman you really now how to get me going.” I walked straight over and kissed her hard. “For the rest of this pregnancy I’m your servant got it.” I didn’t let her say anything I spun and walked away. I made her coffee and had lily make some breakfast so it tasted better.

“He didn’t say anything about me being in bed rest for the whole pregnancy, just until he said so.” I say, as lily and him come in with breakfast. It smelt really good. “The bleeding has stopped almost” I said once she had left.

I smiled. “Good.” I kissed her and stole a piece of toast. “Lily is worried about you. She told me I better be good to you stop being a grumpy ass.” I smiled our daughter is just like her mum.

I laughed, rolling my eyes “well she does have the best of both of us in her. She’s wonderfully protective and doesn’t let anyone push her around.” I glanced over at him. My gaze caught the screen and I stopped talking, “you don’t have to watch this.. it’s just.. romance trash.” I grinned

I looked at the TV then back at her. “Baby this is not some romance movie it’s fucking soft porn your watching!” I glanced back and just the thought of her watching this was making me hard I had to control myself “damn woman!” I looked back at her and smiled

I laughed nudging his leg with my foot. “I’d say it was a flashback from our honeymoon... or kid free weekend.” I kissed his shoulder, laying down beside him more.

I nodded and moved so I could hold her. “So you are saying we made soft porn in your eyes?” I kissed her head. “Because char baby ours is so much better that what you just watched and you can’t deny that!”

“I’m happy with our sex life, I do miss some things but I’m very happy with you and what we have.” I Kept watching, thinking back to our trips we would take

I smiled “how about once you are in the clear we go somewhere again the kids can deal without us for a while and lily can help keep the boys in line. What do you think?”

“We could, a trip away for a long weekend would be nice.” I smiled, agreeing. “I trust them to behave, they’re old enough to know better and lily would call you over burnt toast so I have no worries with them doing the wrong thing.”

I smirked “okay we have time to plan it all out but for now let’s relax and watch your soft porn!” I winked and kissed her temple loving her in my arms

I laughed “it’s hardly porn-“ and then the yacht scene came on and holy shit. I wasn’t prepared for that. The movie finished and I laughed “make sure the kids don’t watch this.. especially lily.” I nudged him “wait until I’m off bed rest!”
