“It’s been bad, so I’m leaning towards a boy. But I don’t know. Are we really going to do this?” I sighed “I feel like I am forcing you into something you’re pretending to want.”

I shook my head. “I don’t preten about things like those you know that. I love kids specially ours but we have to face the facts we are getting old you know, I know you may not feel it and I definitely know you don’t look it! But I feel it I’m also older than you.” I kissed her softly. “But we are doing this. This baby came to us for a reason so we will love him or her the same as the others.”

“You’re only as old as the woman you’re fucking.” I reminded. “So you’re my age.. and you’re not old, you’re fit and healthy. Do you really feel like an old man?” I wrapped my arms around him “I love you. Let’s just see the doctor first before we discuss anymore about this.”

I nodded. “I love you too, and your right let’s see how this doctor appointment goes. I glanced at the house. “We should go in and see our beautiful geandbaby Ava and our daughter.” I kissed her nose. “How’s the hand?” I picked it up and looke it over

“Sore.” I smiled softly. “It’s fine, I don’t notice it unless I grab something too hard.” I brushed my hair behind my ears “lily isn’t sleeping, neither is Ava. I’ve had her crying each day on the phone when Gunnar’s in the shower. She just needs us to be there for her.”

I nodded. “Why don’t we offer a night of full sleep for them both because chances are if they aren’t sleeing either is Gunnar.” I smiled. “So Tom knows your pregnant but I don’t know about the rest of them. What do you want to do about that?”

“I’d rather wait until the doctors appointment. We both know my high rate of miscarriages.” I’d lost so many, my body just failed and I wondered if it was because of how Rick used to hurt me. “I don’t want to upset anymore people with this. It’s not even exciting Tanner.” I said sadly. How could I even be excited knowing it was a mistake

I sighed. “No matter what char baby’s are always exciting, I’m sorry for making you feel this way. But this baby is a miracle.”

“It isn’t. It’s a baby that wasn’t meant to be and I’ll never forget how angry you was when you asked if I was pregnant. I don’t want you to hate me. I just need you to tell me what you think and feel.” I said quietly.

I sighed. “Char I wasn’t angry about the baby I was angry about you not telling me what you wanted and then the doctor saying the shit he did that day coming home when I saw you I knew and it just pushed me over I was going to call you that day and tell you what the doctor said but you surprised me and I just wasn’t ready at that time. I love when your pregnant this will be no different for me. I love you and this baby.”

I looked at him, and wanted be believe him. I was just scared he didn’t feel the way he did with all the other pregnancies. “I love you, let’s go inside. I’m dying to cuddle Ava.”

I smiled “Me to I haven’t seen her since she was born just photos Gunnar sent me.” I put my head down ashamed. “She is beautiful though.”

“Yes, she is a lot like lily as a baby, beautiful and hates to sleep.” I grinned with a laugh. “Poor kids, bet they’re exhausted” I said following him up to the front door.

“Well they only have one you did a great job with 4 at once!” I kissed her head. Hoping we would make it through this. I still felt like she didn’t want to tell me some things and it hurt.

“Four was a nightmare. I don’t think I slept for two years.” I laughed, I found a blanket over their chair and draped it over them. “I’m going to do some cleaning and washing, I’ll do some cooking and you can enjoy Ava cuddles.” I smiled

I smiled back and went to see Ava but she was passed out to so I went to help clean with char till I heard her cry out. “I got her for now then you can have her while I finish.” I walked into their room and smiled. “Hey my little princess mummy and daddy are sleeping so you got grandpa and grandma here.

“Ugh that makes me feel old.” I walked over smiling at the two of them. “Grandpa looks good on you.” I smirked and went back to cleaning

I smiled knowing it did I felt it. And soon I’ll be feeling Dad again. I held her and then she got hungry I walked into the kitchen “I just changed her but she is hungry you want to break and feed her I’ll finish up and then if she falls back aslee we can cook something for them together?”

“Sure.” I looked in the fridge for a bottle and made one up ready. She drank hungrily and fell back asleep. I loooed over at the two of them passed out on the couch. “I remember those days, a lot of good times.”

I smiled. “They were and we will make more good times.” No said hoping she felt that way to. “What should we make or you make and I try not to mess it up.”

“Probably something easy for them to reheat, lasagne would be good. I’ll do some more cooking at home for them.” I looked up at him “Don’t forget Lenny and Willow are sleeping in the car still,” I had my phone out with the camera video set up so we could watch them to see when they woke.

I smiled. “I can bring them in if you’d like.” If they were sleeing I didn’t want to bother them.

“They might wake those two, and I’m thinking they need more sleep than a baby right now” I grinned dicing an onion.

“Okay I’ll keep a eye out for them.” I kissed her “what can I do to help then?” I knew she was going to give me a look that said nope no way.

“You’re great at grilling steak, and making burgers anything on the grill you’re the pro.. cooking fish, yes definitely but every time you use an oven lately, you burn the shit out of it.” I grinned “so sit this one out big down, I’ve got it.” I winked giving him a kiss.
