I kind of stood there watching her get in the car with the thoughts how did we forget, and she kind of just ran from me.  Shit I fucked up I wanted to be married and then have kids.  The whole day I was zoned out.  I waited for her to text hoping she was okay.

Work was a blur, I couldn’t focus. How could I have been so stupid. I hadn’t text him, I’d been a bundle of nerves over needing to tell my family about college. And that night at dinner, we sat down to eat and I waited until everyone was quiet “so, I applied for an early admission into college.. and I was accepted to Harvard to study Law.” I pulled out the letter and passed it to my parents.

I had Noah text me and let me know she was okay. He asked if we were fighting and of course I told him no. I have texted her but she hasn’t responded, she is probably mad at me. I sat on my couch with ash in my lap as I starred at my phone.

My parents just looked at me and then Noah spoke up “text Gunnar back, he’s asking if you’re ok.. did you two have a fight?” 

I frowned “no.” 

“Seems like it.. you’re avoiding him. What did he do?” Tom cut in. “I’ll hurt him if he hurts you.” 

“He didn’t do anything! We’re fine!” I said quietly with a sigh. “I will message him later, I’ve been busy so drop it.” I glanced down at my phone and wrote - just having dinner, talk soon xx -
