Cocky, arrogant and on the opposite side of the court room, he's a real charmer when it comes to convincing a jury.. until he meets her.

“Have you had him follow me any other time?” I asked pulling out my phone to see 5 emails from work. “Liam is driving me crazy. He wants me to now go to New Jersey in the morning with him.”

[Demona]

“No i didn’t feel you were in danger before to send him with you. Today is the first time. Tell him you can’t, you’re preparing your wedding he can go with someone else.

[melbender]

“Danger? Hunter can we just go back to the house? Or maybe to where our house is being built and have lunch there?” I was growing nervous. “I’ll talk to dad and tell him i can’t go.”

[Demona]

“Why are you worried? You’re with me aren’t you? I’m just waiting jeff to text me and then we can go wherever we want” i smiled kissing her cheek “i would never endanger you”

“I know. Things like this just panic me that’s all.” I said quietly. “Can we please just go home. I’d rather be somewhere where no one is watching or following usZl I didn’t want to tell him why and sound like a cry baby

[Demona]

I frowned but nodded “sure baby” i texted jeff telling him we were going home and he would give me the details later. I took a turn and drobe toward our house.

“I’m sorry.” I said quietly. “I just don’t deal well with bad things like this, not since my dad.. i would have panic attack every time dad would have to go away.” I couldn’t look at him, I’d never told anyone this.

[Demona]

I took her hand in mine and brought it to my lips to kiss it “don’t be sorry. And i understand” i smiled pulling her to me so she could rest her head on my shoulder while i drove “we’ll go home have a nice lunch in the garden. Just the two of us”

[melbender]

“Id like that, seems so many people are always watching us since we’ve announced our engagement. Wait until they hear we’re having a baby.” I kissed his shoulder “I don’t like so much attention, well except for yours.”

[Demona]

I smiled “do you want us to order any food? Or do you want me to cook something?” I asked as i parked the car.

[melbender]

“We’ve just brought a heap of food.” I laughed undoing my belt “Let’s still have our picnic out on the grass.”

[Demona]

“Ok, you can go change into comfy clothes and i will set up everything”

[melbender]

I took a quick shower, putting on my pyjama shorts and a tee, making my way downstairs to where he was “if i wasn’t pregnant right now I’d be trying to be, I love watching you on the kitchen.” I groaned.

[Demona]

I chuckled “i love being in the kitchen for you” i winked and took the tray outside “come on” i had already set the picnic outside

“We should do this more often.” I was more than relaxed, half stretched out laying on my side opposite him. “Will working for you still be like this?”

[Demona]

“I think it will be better. Imagine going to work together, leaving together, attending the same events and even when we have to fly we will be together. And we can manage to have our own private moments”

[melbender]

“I hope so.” I smiled. “I was scared at first but I’m looking forward to come and working with you. Do you think the house will be finished before the baby is here? I’m eager to do the nursery.”

[Demona]

“The contractor said it would be. But i’m not so sure, we’re keeping this house anyway so if it’s not done we will do the nursery here.”

[melbender]

“Hopefully it is.” I sat up leaning over to kiss him. “You shouldn’t ever shave your beard. I love it.” I ran my fingers over the facial hair, before laying back down “I can feel our baby moving, it’s like a butterfly flying around.”

[Demona]

I rested my face over her belly and smiled holding her hand in mine “it’s winderful”

[melbender]

“I’m just grateful I haven’t had too much morning sickness.” I squeezed his hand. “Have you decided on a wedding song yet? What about our honeymoon? I have no clue here you’re taking me.”

[Demona]

“No i haven’t. Surprise me” i sat up and looked at her “i thought we could do something relaxing and classy and then maybe go camping, we have a month. We could go to France maybe?”

[melbender]

“Yes I like the sound of that.” I ran my fingers through his hair closing my eyes “do you think your friend is right, about my law career being over when I have the baby?”

[Demona]

“My friend? Which friend? Chris?” I frowned not remembering who told her that. “That’s nonsense. My mom never stopped working and yet always took care of us and gave us the love we needed. You’re a wonderful independant woman, you’ll be a great mother and still be a great lawyer”

[melbender]

“Yes that’s him. I like to think I can multi task well but only time will tell.” I ran my fingers through his hair “we could go to Italy a day early, before everyone else arrives?”
